Everyone is living under something. Whether it is the pressure to succeed, the need for approval, the pursuit of comfort, or a religious system built on performance, we all have something we serve, something that shapes our choices and demands our energy. The question Jesus asks in Matthew 11 is not whether you carry a yoke but which one. In this message, we unpack one of the most comforting and challenging invitations Jesus ever gave, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me," and discover that the rest he offers is not a vacation from responsibility but relief from the exhausting weight of being your own master. Sin is not just rule-breaking, it is the restlessness of a soul disconnected from the one it was made for, and no amount of striving, whether through lawlessness or legalism, ever quiets that ache. Jesus offers something entirely different, not another set of rules to follow but a relationship to walk in, with someone who is gentle and humble in heart and who has already done what we never could. If you are tired of carrying something that keeps promising everything and delivering nothing, this message is the invitation you have been waiting for.

Believe and Be Baptized | October 11th 2026
2026/10/11
Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.
Most people treat baptism as a nice milestone, something you get around to eventually, but Jesus treated it as the first step. In this message, we look at what Jesus actually commanded in the Great Commission and what the early church did every single time someone believed, and the pattern is impossible to miss. Baptism does not save you. It does not earn God’s favor or add anything to what Christ already finished on the cross. But it is also never presented as something a follower of Jesus just skips. It is the moment you go public, the declaration that the old life is over and a new one has begun, an identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection that marks the starting line of learning to obey everything he commanded. If you have been putting it off out of fear, family pressure, or simply not getting around to it, this message speaks directly to that delay. And if you have not yet trusted Christ, this is an invitation to understand what real surrender actually looks like before you ever step into the water.

Being Good Is Not Good Enough | September 20th 2026
2026/09/21
Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.Nicodemus had everything religion could offer. He was moral, respected, educated in the Scriptures, and genuinely seeking God, and Jesus looked him in the eye and told him it still wasn't enough. In this message from John 3, we explore one of the most important conversations in the entire Bible and what Jesus meant when he said you must be born again. The problem isn't that we need to try harder or clean up our lives a little more. The problem is that sin hasn't just damaged us, it has left us spiritually dead, and dead people cannot rehabilitate themselves. New life requires a miracle, and that miracle is exactly what God offers. Just as Moses lifted up a bronze serpent in the wilderness so that anyone who looked to it would live, Jesus was lifted up on a cross so that everyone who believes in him would receive eternal life. Whether you have never trusted Christ or have followed him for years, this message will remind you that salvation was never about your performance, and that is the best news imaginable.More Information ↓ Connect with us:Website: https://gracepointe.usFacebook: https://facebook.com/gpnchurchInstagram: https://instagram.com/gpnchurchYouTube:https://youtube.com/@GracePointe https://youtube.com/@GracePointePlainfield Naperville Campus, Sundays at 8, 9:30 and 11:15 AMLIVE Online at 9:30 AMPlainfield Campus, Sundays at 9 and 10:45 AM

Lead Pastor Dan Painter shares Grace Pointe's Vision for this ministry year!
This year, our focus is Follow—learning what Jesus commands, growing in obedience, and helping others do the same.
Following Jesus isn’t just about knowing more; it’s about living out what we learn in community. We all need people who will encourage, challenge, and walk alongside us as we grow—and we all have something to offer others.
While there are many opportunities to grow at Grace Pointe, these are the discipleship pathways we are especially encouraging everyone to consider in this season. Each one provides an opportunity to grow in your relationship with Jesus, connect with others, and take intentional steps toward living out His commands.
Click on this link to explore some opportunities for you to grow!

The Enemy From Within | August 30th 2026
2026/08/31
Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.More Information ↓Paul had spent three years pouring his life into the church at Ephesus, and as he said his final goodbye to its leaders, he was not worried about the Roman Empire or the culture around them. He was worried about what would happen from within. In this message from Acts 20, we sit with Paul in one of the most emotionally raw moments in the entire New Testament, a farewell address to people he loved deeply, filled with warnings he desperately hoped they would not need. He told them that savage wolves would come, that men from within their own community would rise up and distort the truth, and that the mission would only survive if they stayed alert, stayed unified, and stayed rooted in the grace of God. History proved him right. The church at Ephesus kept its doctrine but lost its love, and Jesus himself called it out in Revelation 2. If you care about the church, about its witness, and about finishing the mission Jesus gave us, this message will challenge you to examine not just what you believe but whether your heart is still in it. When God Closes The Door | August 23rd 2026
2026/08/24
Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.More Information ↓Most of us have experienced the frustration of feeling called to something, giving it everything we have, and then hitting a wall. Paul knew that feeling too. In Acts 16, he and his team were blocked not once but twice from preaching the gospel in regions they were eager to reach, and the one doing the blocking was the Holy Spirit himself. What looks like failure in this passage is actually one of the most important moments in the history of Christianity, because the closed doors were not the end of the mission. They were the redirection that brought the gospel to Europe for the first time. In this message, we explore what it looks like to stay spiritually alert and missionally active when your plans fall apart, how to tell the difference between a closed door and a dead end, and why persistence in obedience almost always leads somewhere better than where you originally intended to go. If you are sitting in front of a door that will not open, this message is for you. Don't Fight Alone | August 16th 2026

Most of us are not living like people in a war. We drift through anxious days, distracted and exhausted, unaware that there is an enemy whose only goal is to take us out. In this final message from 1 Peter 5, Peter closes his letter not with a pep talk but a battle plan, and it looks nothing like what the world would expect. The path to resistance begins not with strength or strategy but with humility, casting your anxiety onto a God who actually cares for you, staying alert to an enemy who preys on the isolated and the unaware, and standing firm in a faith that connects you to believers who have endured the same fight across every generation. And when you are worn down, Peter points you not to your own willpower but to the God of all grace, who personally restores, confirms, strengthens, and establishes everyone who belongs to him. If you are tired, anxious, or feel like you are losing ground, this message is a reminder that the battle is real, the enemy is real, but so is the God who fights for you.

Real Humility | August 9th 2026
2026/08/10
Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.
More Information ↓In a world built on self-promotion, personal branding, and the relentless pursuit of status, humility is not just rare, it is revolutionary. In this message from 1 Peter 5, Peter closes his letter with a final and urgent appeal: clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. He speaks first to leaders, calling elders to shepherd not for recognition or control but as servants who model the way of Jesus, and then he widens the lens to every believer. Pride fractures communities, distorts witness, and places us in opposition to God himself. Humility, on the other hand, builds unity, invites grace, and displays the character of Christ to a watching world in a way that no platform or influence ever could. Whether you lead a church, a family, a team, or simply a life, this message is an honest and hopeful challenge to examine your posture and follow the one who humbled himself further than any of us will ever be asked to go.Who are we? Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.More Information ↓Following Christ is not without suffering. We are promised not an easy life, but one in which we will face trials of many kinds. As followers of Christ, we have something unique, we follow the one who has overcome the world! Pastor Evan unpacks Peter's encouragement to the church scattered across Asia Minor who is experiencing societal suffering and is on the verge of the great persecution of Nero toward the church. 2026/07/20
Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.More Information ↓In a world that runs on retaliation, outrage, and self-defense, Peter calls believers to something that looks almost impossible: bless those who mistreat you, speak gently to those who question you, and keep doing good even when it costs you. In this message from 1 Peter 3, we explore what it looks like for a community of people to be so shaped by the gospel that their response to suffering becomes their most powerful form of witness. Peter is not calling for passivity or silence. He is calling for a readiness to give a reason for the hope inside you, with gentleness and respect, trusting that a life marked by relational generosity will be harder to slander than to explain. At the center of it all is Jesus, who suffered not as a victim but as a substitute, the righteous for the unrighteous, and who now reigns over every power that once seemed to threaten him. If your faith has ever been questioned, mocked, or ignored, this message will give you both a challenge and a deep comfort.Who are we?
