In this sermon, we’re reminded that our motivation for foster care, adoption, and supporting vulnerable families must go deeper than emotions or compelling stories. Because we have been spiritually adopted into God’s family through Christ, the gospel gives us a lasting motivation to step into the lives of others. Adopted people adopt people. Chosen people choose people. As we remember the incredible love God has shown us, we’re challenged to ask, “God, what would you have me do?” and consider how He might be calling us to care for children and families in need. In this sermon, Pastor Blake Templeton teaches from Nehemiah 6–7 on how to persevere when God’s work gets hard. Nehemiah faced deception, intimidation, and opposition while rebuilding Jerusalem’s wall, yet he remained focused on the work God had given him. We are challenged to persevere by recognizing the enemy’s tactics and refusing to be distracted by lies, division, intimidation, or anxiety; relying on the Lord rather than our own strength for the wisdom, peace, and endurance we need; and surrounding ourselves with God’s people who can encourage, pray for, counsel, and help us finish well. Ultimately, our perseverance is rooted in Christ. Nehemiah’s work was a temporary restoration, but Jesus accomplished the ultimate work of reconciliation through His death and resurrection. Because Christ has overcome the world, we can fix our eyes on Him and faithfully run the race God has given us. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. God has no “plan B” for restoring, renewing, and rebuilding lives and communities - you are His “plan A.” In Nehemiah 5, we see how selfishness and the love of money can hinder God’s work, while godly leadership confronts sin, pursues repentance, and seeks to restore what has been broken. Nehemiah’s leadership was shaped by the fear of God, leading him to lay aside personal privilege and serve sacrificially. In the same way, Jesus gave Himself for us, and our response to His grace should be a life marked by generosity, service, and sacrifice. We don’t serve to earn salvation; we serve from the salvation we’ve received. When God transforms our hearts, it changes how we live and how we see the needs around us. Like the early church in Acts 2, our generosity and service can become a powerful witness to the gospel. God can use every “little yes” to bring His renewing work to others. In Nehemiah 4, Pastor Spence reminds us that spiritual opposition is real, but God has given us what we need to stand firm and continue His work. When doubt, discouragement, and cultural pressures threaten our faith, we’re called to pray, guard, and build. Through prayer, we fix our eyes on our great and awe-inspiring God. Through guarding, we stand alert and encourage one another in community. Through building, we use the gifts God has given us to advance His kingdom. And through it all, we rest in the unwavering love of Jesus, trusting that our work flows from His grace - not a desire to earn His favor. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. God’s mission isn’t just for pastors or ministry leaders - it’s for every follower of Jesus. Drawing from Nehemiah’s story of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, Pastor Logan Creasy challenges us to see the brokenness around us, own the burden, trust God’s faithfulness, and rebuild anyway - even when we face opposition. Because Jesus has rebuilt and renewed us, we are called to rise up, serve together, and bring gospel restoration to our city for His glory. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. In Nehemiah 1, Pastor Spence reminds us that God’s calling often begins with seeing the gap between what is and what should be. Nehemiah was gripped by the brokenness of Jerusalem, which moved him to persistent, faith-filled prayer before taking courageous action. His example gives us a picture of how we can discern God’s calling: God-given sight, faith-filled prayer, and faith-motivated action. Rather than asking, “Where does God fit into my life?” we can ask, “Where does my story fit into God’s bigger mission?” God may be calling you to something through a need He places before you, a burden He puts on your heart, or abilities He has given you. Like Nehemiah, we’re invited to trust God, step off the sidelines, and join what He is already doing in the world. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. In this message from 1 Peter 2, Pastor Spence reminds us that every believer is a living stone - not a spectator, but an essential part of what God is building. We are a people who have received mercy, and that changes everything about who we are and how we live. Whether you’re exploring faith or ready to take your next step in serving and ministry, this message is an invitation to move from the sidelines into the mission. Don’t just attend church. Be the church. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See https://pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

What if the wedding you’ve always longed for is just a glimpse of something far greater? In Revelation 19, Pastor Spence points us to the ultimate wedding feast of the Lamb, where Christ and His Church are united forever. As we wait for that day, we’re called to live with hope, endurance, and wholehearted devotion to our faithful Groom. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. What if you’ve already bought a ticket to Babylon without even realizing it? In Revelation 15–18, Pastor Spence compares Babylon’s seductive promises to the infamous Fyre Festival - a paradise promised, but disaster delivered. Like the saints who sang of God’s victory before crossing the sea, we can live with resurrection confidence even in the middle of chaos. Pastor Spence challenges us to two urgent responses: stay awake and walk away before Babylon’s lullaby drowns out what matters most. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. What if the strength to endure comes from keeping your eyes on Jesus? In Revelation 14, Pastor Spence reminded us that gospel grit isn't about trying harder - it's about enduring in faith as we fix our eyes on the victorious Lamb. As we continue to pray, obey, and trust God's timing, we can live with confidence knowing that eternity is real and our faithfulness matters. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. What if the hidden sin weighing on your soul is quietly stealing your joy, your peace, and your life? In Psalm 32, King David pulls back the curtain on the crushing agony of concealed sin — bones wasting away, strength evaporating like summer heat — and the breathtaking relief that flooded in through honest confession. Pastor Rich unpacks how sin concealed kills, but sin confessed leads to rest, pointing to Jesus as God's ultimate picture of grace. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. What if you've been so busy doing things for God that you've slowly stopped simply being with Him? In Acts 13, the church at Antioch wasn't building strategies or making plans - they were worshiping, fasting, and seeking the Lord. It was from that place of dependence that the Holy Spirit moved and launched the church's mission. Pastor Derrick reminds us that God's mission is always fueled by God's presence. As we continue living All to Him, we're invited to slow down, seek the Lord first, and let our obedience flow from intimacy with Him. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. What if Jesus met you right where you are - not after you've cleaned up your life, but in the middle of your mess? In Luke 19, Zacchaeus, the most despised man in Jericho, climbs a tree just to catch a glimpse of Jesus. Instead, Jesus stops, calls him by name, and says, "Today I must stay at your house." Pastor Jason unpacks this powerful encounter, showing how the gospel pursues the undeserving, exposes the idols of our hearts, and transforms us from people who need the mission to people who live on mission.
