Empowering Future Leaders: Ron Hill Discusses Conscious Leadership and Legacy Building
2026/04/19
In this episode, Dr. Robin and Bayleigh sit down with Ron Hill to explore his journey from building a successful business to embracing a deeper, purpose-driven path—one rooted in self-awareness, healing, and intentional growth.  Through a meaningful and honest conversation, they highlight the power of inner work, authentic connection, and leading by example. This episode serves as a reminder that when you commit to evolving from within, the impact extends far beyond yourself—shaping your relationships, your work, and the legacy you leave behind.  Key Takeaways:   Leadership begins with doing your own inner work before trying to guide others.   Strong leadership is built on connection first, not control or direction.   Growth requires moving through challenges rather than avoiding discomfort.   Personal healing creates a ripple effect that influences families, teams, and communities.   True success in leadership comes from aligning mind, body, and spirit, not just strategy.    We couldn't highlight incredible stories like this without the support of our sponsor, CommunityAmerica Credit Union. Thank you for helping us promote connection, well-being, and stronger communities. If you're looking for trusted financial wellbeing resources, we invite you to connect with their team and take the next step toward greater financial confidence.  Support the Mission | Annual April Fundraiser  Each April, we celebrate Dr. Robin's birthday by giving back. As founder of Redemption Plus, he built and scaled a company that disrupted its industry over 25 years — then successfully navigated its sale during a global pandemic. Ron creates psychologically safe environments where innovation thrives, and breakthrough thinking flourishes.   Ron transformed Redemption Plus from a traditional business into a purpose-driven powerhouse by first transforming himself. His personal growth journey revealed a powerful truth: when leaders do their inner work, teams flourish, and businesses thrive. This parallel transformation — personal and organizational — gives Ron rare, battle-tested insights that now fuel his approach to conscious leadership.   Rather than presuming to have all the answers, Ron helps leaders uncover what already exists within their own DNA — or their organization's foundation. He catalyzes leaders to unlock peace and love within themselves, creating conditions for those around them to thrive. In a world where no individual can keep pace with the current rate of change, collective wisdom is the ultimate competitive advantage.   As Co-Founder, Guide, and Managing Partner of Conscious Leaders Quest, Ron facilitates transformative experiences rooted in a simple but powerful belief: only at the intersection of mind, body, and business can you unlock your full potential as a leader.   When leaders awaken to this truth, they stop operating in fight-or-flight mode, harness the intelligence already within their teams, and build the businesses the world needs now. When leaders live congruent lives, cultures transform — and that transformation ripples far beyond the walls of any organization. Many leaders today are under-resourced and contagiously stressed; true transformation elevates not just the leader, but everyone around them.   Based in Leawood, KS and Bozeman, MT, Ron walks his own growth path alongside the leaders he guides — embodying the belief that "when we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too."   A Certified XCHANGE Guide, HeartMath Certified Mentor, and Nordic Wellness Coach, Ron brings a multi-disciplinary toolkit to every leader and organization he serves.  Connect with Ron Hill at:  https://linktr.ee/ronlhill    https://www.instagram.com/consciousleadersquest/    https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100088498240992  https://www.linkedin.com/company/conscious-leaders-quest  https://www.youtube.com/@consciousleadersquest   Connect with Dr. Michelle and Bayleigh at:  https://smallchangesbigshifts.com  [email protected]  https://www.linkedin.com/company/smallchangesbigshifts  https://www.facebook.com/SmallChangesBigShifts  https://www.instagram.com/smallchangesbigshiftsco  Thanks for listening!  Thanks so much for listening to our podcast! From One Generation to the Next: The Impact of Being Poured Into
2026/04/05
In this powerful episode, we explore how one act of kindness can create a lasting generational impact. Dr. Robin reflects on her childhood experience of being welcomed into the Pfingstens' home, a moment that shaped her understanding of compassion, service, and community.  Through a meaningful conversation across three generations, this episode highlights the importance of mentorship, chosen family, and the role of support systems in personal growth and healing. Together, they discuss faith, resilience, boundaries, and the responsibility we each carry to pour into others.  This episode is a reminder that small, intentional acts of care can influence not only one life, but generations to come.   Key Takeaways:   Small acts of support can create ripple effects that influence generations.  Healing is a personal journey, but community and connection make growth possible.  Faith and trusted relationships provide strength during life's most difficult seasons.  Setting healthy boundaries allows compassion without losing yourself in others' struggles.  The choices you make today can redefine your future, regardless of your past.    We couldn't highlight incredible stories like this without the support of our sponsor, CommunityAmerica Credit Union. Thank you for helping us promote connection, well-being, and stronger communities. Exploring Wellbeing and Legacy: Engaging Conversations with Dr. Michelle Robin and Her Twin Brother Mike, Part 2
2026/03/29
This episode dives into living with intention, finding contentment, and the power of mentorship in shaping personal and professional growth. Dr. Michelle Robin and her twin brother, Mike, share reflections on life milestones, wellbeing practices, and balancing career, family, and purpose. Listeners will gain insights on embracing meaningful relationships, slowing down to savor life's seasons, and stepping into each chapter with gratitude and intention.  Key Takeaways:   True mentorship is a two-way street, mentors pour in, but mentees must meet them halfway with curiosity and preparation.  Contentment matters: slowing down and appreciating where you are can prevent burnout and improve wellbeing.  Life milestones offer perspective; taking time to reflect allows growth in emotional, spiritual, and mental health.  Wellbeing is multi-dimensional, physical, mental, spiritual, and financial health all contribute to living fully.  Every season of life brings unique lessons; embracing them intentionally creates a more fulfilling journey.  Special thanks to Community America Credit Union for walking alongside us in this work. Their commitment to helping individuals and families build financial well-being reflects a shared belief we hold at SCBS, that true well-being is whole-person, and financial health plays a vital role in how we show up for ourselves and our communities. We're grateful for their partnership, their trust, and their continued investment in creating stronger, more connected communities where people have the resources and support to truly thrive.  Support the Mission | Annual April Fundraiser  Each April, we celebrate Dr. Robin's birthday by giving back. Roots and Reflections: Celebrating Sixty Years of Life and Learning with the Robin Twins
2026/03/22
Celebrating a milestone birthday becomes a meaningful reflection on life, gratitude, and the people who shape our journey. Joined by her twin brother Mike, Dr. Michelle Robin looks back on six decades of lessons rooted in resilience, mentorship, and generosity. Together, they share how mentors, family values, and unexpected challenges helped transform a difficult childhood into lives centered on service and purpose. Their conversation highlights the lasting impact of guidance, the power of giving back, and how each season of life invites us to align more deeply with joy, growth, and meaningful contribution.  Key Takeaways:   Mentors can change the trajectory of life by helping us see possibilities beyond our current circumstances.  Difficult beginnings do not define our future when guidance, resilience, and support are present.  Generosity and kindness learned early often become lifelong values that shape how we serve others.  Life milestones create powerful opportunities to reflect, realign priorities, and choose intentional living.  True success is measured not only by achievement but by how we invest in and uplift the next generation.  About Mike Robin:  Mike Robin is a retired Healthcare Information Technology Executive. Trust Your Gut: Lessons from Lindsey Roy's Health Transformation Part 2
2026/03/01
Lindsey Roy opens up about navigating life-threatening health challenges, including a double lung transplant, and the lessons she learned along the way. She explores the intersection of traditional and alternative medicine, the power of listening to her body, and trusting her inner guidance. Through faith, community support, and a focus on gratitude, Lindsey shares how she became her own advocate and transformed her approach to wellbeing, offering inspiration for anyone facing challenges and seeking balance in life.  Key Takeaways:   Navigating life-altering health challenges requires trusting your own instincts and advocating for yourself.  Combining traditional medicine with alternative therapies can provide a more holistic approach to healing.  Listening closely to your body helps identify what supports your wellbeing and what does not.  Leaning on friends, family, and community creates a strong support system during difficult times.  Faith, gratitude, and moments of stillness can guide important decisions and foster resilience.  About Lindsey Roy:  Lindsey Roy has twice needed surgery to save her life. The first, a leg amputation after a traumatic boating accident and the second a double lung transplant after being diagnosed with a rare and progressive disease which constricted the blood vessels in her lungs. These experiences, coupled with her natural gifts for speaking and writing, have created a passion in Lindsey to tell her story in the hopes of helping others tackle whatever obstacles life throws at them. She did a TEDx talk in 2017 titled "What Trauma Taught Me About Happiness" which has been viewed by nearly 200,000 people. Her story has been featured in major publications, such as O Magazine, Fast Company, Forbes, and Working Mother.  Lindsey's perspective is also honed by her roles as a corporate executive, mother, and wife. She is Senior VP Strategy & Brand at Hallmark, where she is leading various initiatives and groups—many of which draw from the lessons shared in The Gift of Perspective. She has a degree in Journalism & Advertising with a minor in Speech from Kansas State University and serves on many charitable boards, including Ability KC, Steps of Faith, and the Ad Council. Bridging the Gap Between Gut and Brain: A Comprehensive Guide to Wellbeing with Dr. Georgia Nab
2026/02/15
A thoughtful and educational conversation with Dr. Nab explores tremors, brain health, and the powerful connection between the gut and the nervous system. The discussion reframes symptoms as meaningful signals rather than issues to ignore, unpacking different types of tremors and potential root causes such as nutrient deficiencies, toxins, stress, and gut imbalances. With a functional medicine lens, the episode highlights the importance of early awareness, foundational lifestyle habits, and proactive brain care—showing how small, informed changes can support long-term neurological health and overall vitality.  Key Takeaways:   Symptoms like tremors are signals from the body, inviting us to look deeper rather than accept them as inevitable.  Brain health is closely tied to gut integrity, nutrient status, and the body's ability to manage toxins.  Foundational habits—movement, hydration, and whole foods—play a critical role in protecting cognitive health.  Stress and nervous system overload can amplify underlying imbalances over time.  Proactive testing and early awareness help put the odds in favor of long-term brain resilience and vitality.  About Dr. Georgia Nab:  Dr. Georgia Nab entered the chiropractic industry in 1992 by owning a chiropractic clinic in Wichita, Kansas. Soulful Lessons from Ginger Rothhaas on Navigating the Human Experience
2026/02/08
February invites reflection on self-love and compassion, making it the perfect time for a heartfelt conversation with author, speaker, and personal development coach Ginger Rothhaas. In this episode, the discussion explores why being human is hard — and how it can become gentler through self-compassion, awareness, and intentional practices. Drawing from her book Being Human: 150 Practices to Make It Easier and her work through Compassion Fix, Ginger shares how neuroscience, psychology, and spirituality intersect to help us navigate self-criticism, overwhelm, and disconnection. From the power of the Compassionate Pause to learning when it's time to make a personal "U-turn," this conversation offers grounded wisdom, hope, and practical tools for living with more ease, alignment, and kindness toward ourselves and others.  Key Takeaways:   Self-compassion is a learned skill that helps interrupt self-criticism and create emotional safety.  Pausing to reflect on what's "mine to do" can shift overwhelm into clarity and empowerment.  The way we talk to ourselves shapes our sense of worth, resilience, and hope.  Compassion for self and others grows when we recognize our shared humanity.  Small, intentional practices can realign us with our purpose and make being human feel lighter.  About Ginger Rothhaas:  Ginger is an author, speaker, and personal-development coach who helps people with the hard parts of being human. She works with clients in the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and theology to help them quiet racing minds, practice self-compassion, improve relationships, and trust their decisions. She founded Compassion Fix in 2017 by herself in Brookside and moved to a larger space in Leawood as she has built a team of 10 therapists and coaches who help children, teens, and adults navigate life.   Ginger began her career as a change-management business consultant in a large firm. She also was an adjunct professor at Xavier University. And then at age 40 decided to go to seminary. She studied world religions and theology for four years, achieving a Masters in Theology and Divinity. Following that she became a coach, wrote a book, and founded Compassion Fix. Most importantly she is mom to Chase and Lauren, a college sophomore and a college freshman, one in Manhattan Kansas and one in Manhattan New York. She loves spending time in the flint hills of Kansas and swimming in the ocean as often as possible.   Connect with Ginger Rothhaas at:  https://www.compassionfix.com/   https://www.instagram.com/gingerrothhaas/?hl=en   https://amzn.to/3NG2PaQ   Connect with Dr. The Journey to Vitality: Unearthing the Mysteries of Cholesterol and Heart Health with Dr. Georgia Nab
2026/02/01
Heart Health Month opens with a powerful, eye-opening conversation on cholesterol, root-cause healing, and whole-person wellness. Dr. Georgia Nabs explore why cholesterol is so misunderstood, the real story behind statins, and how inflammation, blood sugar, liver health, and lifestyle choices all intersect to shape heart health. From functional testing and advanced diagnostics to simple, practical daily shifts, this episode reframes what it truly means to care for your heart. Blending science, compassion, and lived experience, the conversation invites listeners to move beyond fear-based medicine and into empowered, informed, and proactive wellness—where education becomes the foundation for lasting health and vitality.  Key Takeaways:   True heart health begins by understanding root causes, not just managing symptoms or lab numbers.  Cholesterol is more complex than "good" and "bad," and context matters more than fear-based assumptions.  Inflammation, blood sugar balance, and liver health play a central role in cardiovascular wellness.  Empowered patients ask better questions and become active participants in their healing journey.  Sustainable wellness comes from education, consistency, and small daily choices that compound over time.  About Dr. Georgia Nab:  Dr. Georgia Nab entered the chiropractic industry in 1992 by owning a chiropractic clinic in Wichita, Kansas. Preparing for the Year of the Fire Horse with Shannon Bailey
2026/01/25
Unlock the transformative power of intentional space and energy as Shannon Bailey, founder of Fierce Feng Shui, shares over 30 years of wisdom in creating harmony at home, work, and beyond. Discover how decluttering, mindful design, and the alignment of energy can support personal growth, prepare you for the upcoming Fire Horse year, and help you set meaningful intentions. Filled with practical tips, personal stories from her home remodel and gardening adventures, and guidance on Feng Shui and Chinese astrology, this conversation inspires action and transformation in everyday life.  Key Takeaways:   Feng Shui aligns your environment with your inner energy, promoting clarity, focus, and balance.  Decluttering and intentional placement of objects can create immediate shifts in energy and perspective.  The Year of the Snake is a time for reflection, shedding old patterns, and preparing for a major reset.  Setting intentions in your space—through objects, layouts, or symbolic items—amplifies your goals.  The upcoming Fire Horse year brings high energy, action, and leadership opportunities; preparation and mindful planning are key.  About Shannon Bailey:  Shannon Bailey, Founder of Fierce Feng Shui, has been telling people where to put it for over thirty years. Specializing in applying Western Feng Shui principles to homes, businesses and outdoor landscaping, Shannon has even done websites and virtual environments. She draws wisdom and inspiration from Western and Chinese Astrology, the I Ching, myth and symbolism across many cultures.   After starting her career in the Midwest, she moved to the Bay Area for a decade and has now returned to Kansas City to play with flowers, dig in the garden, remodel old homes with her husband and tell him where to put it. Shannon, her husband, and 7 kitties (4 kitties moved in from outside) all reside in a 1908 Kansas City shirtwaist that was purchased pre-gutted, but had an amazing porch. The remodel has been slow, dusty, expensive, and exhilarating. The cats haven't been much help.   Shannon is available for teaching classes and workshops, private consultations and Chinese Astrology.
