The Strange New Worlds Season 4 Awards Nobody Asked For
2026/10/05
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 took some big swings, and KJ and Security Dan are handing out the awards. Which episode delivered the best visual effects? Who had the strongest character arc? What was the weirdest experiment, the most rewatchable adventure, the best Enterprise beauty shot, and the season’s biggest “what the hell is happening?” moment? The hosts revisit the horror of The Griffin Incident, the fantasy of Once a La’an a Time, the puppet madness of A Level 5 Transporter Accident, Tomorrow’s Enterprise, and more, before choosing their Season 4 MVPs and ranking the season against the first three. Their verdict? Entertaining, ambitious and sometimes wildly inconsistent.  Then it’s time for a little loot: Dungeon Crawler Carl collectibles have arrived in Canada, and KJ and Dan compare their new Carl, Donut and Prepotente goodies, blind bags and loot-box finds. Come for the Star Trek awards. Stay for the Muppets, body horror, beauty shots and Princess Donut. Dragons, Time Travel & Space Babies: Strange New Worlds Ends on a Wild Note
2026/10/02
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds closes out Season 4 by getting wonderfully weird, and KJ the Comic Guy and Security Dan are here to unpack it. First, the Enterprise heads back into fantasy territory as La’an confronts her past while the crew finds themselves surrounded by storybook doppelgängers, an evil wizard, a queen, a dragon, and one scene-stealing dog. Then “Tomorrow’s Enterprise” sends Uhura into a time-bending mystery connecting two versions of the Enterprise, Kirk and Pike, Scotty, Ortegas, a black hole, a white hole, and yes, a space baby. The guys dig into the episodes’ character development, callbacks to classic Trek, connections to The Animated Series, the road toward the familiar TOS crew, and whether this season finale feels like it was designed to serve as an ending if Season 5 never happened. Plus, there’s some DC Lanterns talk, character-actor appreciation, wedding chaos, Gundams, Toronto adventures, and the usual detours along the way.  Spoilers ahead for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4, Episodes 9 and 10. 2026/09/14
In this episode of Warp My Tardis, KJ the Comic Guy and Security Dan reflect on Star Trek Day celebrations, fan-driven enthusiasm for the franchise's upcoming 60th anniversary, and the evolving world of Star Trek collectibles and LEGO sets. They discuss the legacy of the late Peter Cullen, the future of licensed brick-building models, and why fans continue to keep Star Trek thriving across generations. The main focus is an in-depth review of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4, Episode 8, "Orders of Magnitude." The hosts break down the episode's dual storylines: a dangerous away mission that puts Uhura's leadership and ingenuity to the test, and a tense Enterprise command crisis involving Admiral Simon Rieger, James T. Kirk, and long-buried secrets about Kirk's father. They explore Kirk's growing development into the legendary captain fans know, Uhura's standout character moments, Pike's leadership philosophy, and the episode's themes of duty, loyalty, revenge, and trust. Dude Where's my Shuttle? Tripping in Strange New Worlds
2026/08/21

Season 10, Episode 16 (May 31, 2026): Mandalorian & Grogu... a review
2026/06/06
This episode dives deep into the newly released Mandalorian & Grogu film, with KJ the Comic Guy and Security Dan giving a full, spoiler‑rich breakdown of the story, action sequences, character moments, and the film’s place in the broader Star Wars universe. You open with reactions to the movie’s strong opening, standout stunt work, and the surprising emotional impact of Sigourney Weaver’s New Republic role. The discussion highlights the film’s blend of practical effects, puppetry, and classic Star Wars callbacks — from AT‑AT climbs to holochess creature cameos — all supported by direct references in the transcript such as “the beautiful sequence of Mando just coming in and taking out 12 stormtroopers” and “all of those creatures are the hollow chess creatures.” We explore the shifting state of Star Wars as a franchise, including the passing of Marcia Lucas and the uncertain future of upcoming projects. The conversation expands into trailer reactions for Masters of the Universe, Brand New Day (Spider‑Man), and The Odyssey, with commentary on casting, tone, and production styles.  Later, we shift into Doctor Who news, discussing production delays and fan concerns, supported by lines like “there was a decision being made by the BBC to delay production and we were not going to see a 2026 Christmas special.” The episode wraps with updates on Dungeon Crawler Carl, reactions to major plot moments, and a preview of the upcoming season finale of Warp My TARDIS — plus a nod to the latest Geeks With Dice session and its escalating campaign stakes.  Follow us: Join us on our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VthQnDgXBY Bluesky: fandomfrontier.bsky.social Mastodon: [email protected] Threads: @[email protected] Instagram: @fandomfrontier, @warpmytardis @geekswdice and @legendsofthepanel Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WarpmyTardis or https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61579703152132 Email: [email protected] Website: https://fandomfrontier.ca KJ the ComicGuy: @kjweir1970 on Instagram Security Dan is: @dcheunged on Instagram Music is provided by Pond5.com. Season 10, Episode 15 (May 17, 2026): Long weekend Gundam Time!
2026/06/03
KJ the Comic Guy and Security Dan settle in for a long‑weekend edition of Warp My TARDIS, diving into everything from Canadian mall chaos to Gundam model kits, 3D printing, cosplay culture, and the state of modern fandom. The episode kicks off with long‑weekend traffic miracles and questionable mall decisions before spiraling joyfully into a deep discussion about Gundam collecting—perfect grades, exclusives, sprue recycling, and the ever‑evolving aesthetics of mobile suits. From life‑sized statues in Japan to the Witch From Mercury designs, the hosts explore how Gundam has changed and why fans are divided. They shift into cosplay talk, comparing Anime North’s craftsmanship to the increasingly store‑bought vibe at Fan Expo, sharing maker tips (including the legendary “chicken wire cape” solution), and reflecting on the joy of building things as fans. Convention season continues with news of a Toronto Supernatural con, Fan Expo guest announcements, and the stunt performers behind The Mandalorian. That leads naturally into the upcoming Mandalorian & Grogu movie, the magic of puppetry, and the controversy surrounding Hot Toys’ young Ahsoka figure. From there, the conversation widens to the current lull in Star Wars, Marvel fatigue, Nicolas Cage’s Spider‑Noir, the new He‑Man movie, and nostalgic hopes for Thundercats or Silverhawks adaptations. The episode wraps with pure chaos and delight: the release of Dungeon Crawler Carl: A Parade of Horribles, the wildness of Floor 10, Jeff Hays’ narration challenges, LitRPG Con hype, and the record‑breaking DCC Kickstarter that refuses to stop climbing. A packed, hilarious, deeply nerdy episode—classic Warp My TARDIS.  Follow us: Join us on our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VthQnDgXBY Bluesky: fandomfrontier.bsky.social Mastodon: [email protected] Threads: @[email protected] Instagram: @fandomfrontier, @warpmytardis @geekswdice and @legendsofthepanel Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WarpmyTardis or https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61579703152132 Email: [email protected] Website: https://fandomfrontier.ca KJ the ComicGuy: @kjweir1970 on Instagram Security Dan is: @dcheunged on Instagram Music is provided by Pond5.com.
