How is Faith Bold?

How was Abraham able to offer Isaac as a sacrifice to God? By Faith. He trusted God above anyone and everything else. Through that, he was able to hold loosely, even to Isaac, his son, and trust in God. How faith holds loosely... Faith sacrifices greatly Faith hopes deeply

Faith in Jesus longs for something greater. We do not have a faith that settles for what this world offers, rather our faith should urge us forward, always looking for what God has instore for His children. Four ways faith yearns... Yearn for the fulfillment of God’s promises Yearn as sojourners Yearn for your homeland Yearn with freedom

There is a relationship between our faith and God’s power. God doesn’t force His power on us. Neither is our faith the power we need. How do these two concepts work in relationship? How faith relates to God’s power... Faith taps into God’s power God rewards faith abundantly God’s power brings life from death

Abraham is known as “the man of faith”. Hebrews reveals to us that his faith had attitudes that were displayed in his life. These attitudes reveal an expectation, a rest, and a refusal to settle in this life. Attitudes of Faith... Faith goes expectantly Faith rests in uncertainty Faith refuses to settle

Our faith is not one of mere passivity. God desires that we have faith that responds to Him. True faith is faith that takes in the truth from God and then responds in action. Faith responds by... ...listening to God ...being in awe of God ...acting upon the Word of God ...receiving reward from God

God has created us for relationship. He desires to have connection with us. We see this in the mysterious figure of Enoch and we learn a grand lesson in faith that leads to relationship. Why does faith lead to relationship? God desires relationship with us Relationship with God is a dependent on faith Relationship with God requires specific beliefs: God exists God is rewarder

Rightly oriented faith results in... ...true worship ...received righteousness ...lasting witness

The author of Hebrews gives us a picture of faith and how necessary and practical it is for every day life.
