Waiting and Watching — Leslie Louis

Elder Leslie D. Louis was born to missionary parents from India on the island of Ceylon (today known as Sri Lanka) where he spent most of his boyhood days. He holds a B.A. degree in religion from Southern Missionary College (1973), along with an M.A. in education from Andrews University (1982). He has served in five conferences in North America including Florida, Ohio, Kentucky-Tennessee, Gulf States, and Carolina. The past fifty years of his service for the Seventh-day Adventist church include that of being a classroom teacher, elementary school and academy principal, superintendent of education, pastor, vice president of a conference and currently as the president of the Carolina Conference. Elder Louis was elected to serve as the 37th president of the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in 2011, was re-elected in 2016 for a second term and again in 2022 for his third term ending in August 2027. Leslie is married to Carole who is truly the love of his life. They met while they were both students at Southern Missionary College and will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in December 2023. They have two adult children: Christopher and Catherine and three treasured granddaughters: Isla, Rosalind, and Eloise. Leslie enjoys traveling, photography, camping, biking, and reading as his leisure activities. He has had the opportunity to travel and visit countries in six of the world’s seven continents. Preaching and sharing Christ through the truths of God’s Word by evangelism, prayer and witnessing are the greatest passions of his heart.

Dan Serns has traveled the world teaching and preaching about Jesus, Bible truth, and God’s final movement on earth. He is able to make complex Bible subjects clear, understandable, and practical, and mobilize people in God’s mission. He loves to see renewal, revival, and numerical multiplication of God’s kingdom. In January 2025, he began assisting with church planting, revitalization, and lay training in the North Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He has been published in numerous magazines, including Ministry Magazine and Adventist Review. He and his wife Lois have raised three children who live with their families in Washington & California.

In addition to being a fervent champion of prayer, DeeAnn’s passion is connecting women to Jesus, each other, and their communities. She thrives on creating space and resources for those connections to flourish. A Colorado native, DeeAnn spends a lot of her time outside hiking, biking, paddle boarding, snowshoeing, and camping with her husband, Paul and their family.

Dr. Randy Tryon and Dr. Jeremy Beckworth bring decades of medical experience and a shared passion for whole-person health. Tryon has served more than 40 years as a board-certified family physician in Hendersonville, North Carolina, emphasizing lifestyle approaches to prevent and treat disease. Beckworth, a board-certified specialist in physical medicine, rehabilitation and pain medicine, serves at AdventHealth Hendersonville and has extensive experience in teaching, research and evidence-based care. Together, they are committed to improving quality of life through practical health education, lifestyle medicine and a Christ-centered approach to healing and hope.

Dr. Sandra Doran is curriculum and creative director of Three Angels for Kids, where she shares Revelation’s grace-filled messages with children of all ages. Previously, she served 15 years as associate superintendent of education for the Florida Conference and became the founding head of North Tampa Christian Academy, an innovative project-based school. Doran is the author of more than a dozen books and hundreds of articles published in Adventist periodicals. She and her husband, Eric, a retired pastor, enjoy living on Florida’s west coast and continuing ministry through writing, speaking and creative outreach.
Home for All Nations: The Latter Rain for All Nations — Scott Griswold

Scott Griswold is director of Home for All Nations, a Houston-based nonprofit serving refugees, immigrants, and international students. He and his wife, Julie, served as church planters with Adventist Frontier Missions for six years in Cambodia and 10 years with the Global Mission Center for Adventist Buddhist Relations in Thailand. They have four children, all born in Southeast Asia. While with ASAP Ministries, Griswold wrote Bible studies for Buddhists, created the Reach the World Next Door training program, and helped develop My Language My Life, offering biblical resources in 180 languages.
Living an Evangelistic Life: Getting Decisions, Making Appeals, and Recognizing Conviction

David Klinedinst has served for 28 years as a pastor, international evangelist, evangelism trainer and church growth director. He has presented Bible prophecy across four continents and throughout the United States, making complex biblical teaching clear and practical. He serves as evangelism and church growth director for the Chesapeake Conference in Columbia, Maryland, and has taught evangelism at Washington Adventist University. Previously, he was resident evangelist for the St. Louis metro area in the Iowa-Missouri Conference. His Forecasting Hope prophecy series airs on Christian television networks, 3ABN, Hope Channel and social media platforms.

Steve Vail has served in gospel ministry for more than 45 years, dedicating his life to evangelism, discipleship, and church growth. He has served as a conference evangelist, preaching Christ and equipping churches to reach their communities with the everlasting gospel. He now serves as evangelism director, discipleship coordinator, and personal ministries leader for the Carolina Conference. His passion is helping churches move from membership to active discipleship and mission. Steve and his wife, Connie, live in Huntersville, North Carolina, and enjoy time with their daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and granddogs.
