A Pastor’s Wake-Up Call: How Churches & Pregnancy Centers Can Work Together to Make Disciples
2026/09/28
What happens after a mother and father choose life?
For Pastor Danny de Armas of @FirstOrlando First Baptist Orlando, the hope is that they don’t just leave a pregnancy center with the help they need. They find connection to the local church and people who will continue walking with them.
In this episode of Care Net's Care Cast, Pastor Danny de Armas sits down with Care Net President and CEO Roland Warren to talk about what it looks like when churches and pregnancy centers actually work together.
Danny puts his vision simply: “that every pregnancy center director has a direct conduit to pastors in their community who say, ‘We’re with you. How can we help you? What do you need?’”
Churches have volunteers. They have resources. They have rooms sitting empty throughout the week. Danny’s challenge is for churches to take the initiative: go to pregnancy centers, build the relationship, ask what they need, and get to work alongside them.
Because serving isn’t separate from discipleship. Danny talks about how Christians can stunt their own growth when they don’t serve and why partnering with pregnancy centers gives the Church a very real opportunity to live out the Great Commission.
And choosing life isn’t the end of the story. The goal is for mothers and fathers to find lasting Christian community, hear the Gospel, and become disciples of Jesus.
Caring for unborn life, serving mothers and fathers, strengthening families, sharing the Gospel, and making disciples is the work of the Church.
IN THIS EPISODE:
• What real partnership between churches and pregnancy centers can look like
• Why local pastors need to make relationships with pregnancy center directors
• Simple ways churches can offer volunteers, space, and resources
• Why serving matters for Christian growth and discipleship
• What happens after a mother and father choose life
• How First Baptist Orlando and First Embrace work together
• How pregnancy center ministry connects with the local church and the Great Commission

We'll never solve the abortion problem until we address this...
2026/09/18
We are formed by our most intimate relationships. But what happens when our relationship with self takes the place of our relationship with God?
In this episode, Roland Warren goes beneath the surface of the abortion issue to examine its deeper roots and why lasting cultural change begins with restoring our relationship with God.
If we want to address abortion, we have to address what is forming us.

16 Questions Every Couple Must Ask: "How Can I Stay?" vs. "When Can I Leave?"
2026/08/27
When a Dallas megachurch pastor challenged unmarried, cohabiting couples to stop making excuses and put a ring on it, 52 couples walked down the aisle in a single weekend. Why? Because cohabitation and covenant marriage aren't just two different relationship statuses—they are two completely different mindsets. One constantly asks, "When can I leave?" while the other asks, "How can we stay?"
In this episode of the Care Net Podcast, Roland Warren breaks down why "living together" falls short of God’s design for family and abundant life. Roland walks through 16 vital questions every couple must answer to define their relationship, build a lasting covenant, and transition from conditional arrangements to a God-honoring marriage built to last.

The Sanctity of Choice vs. the Sanctity of Life: Which Does Scripture Teach?
2026/07/08
Can Christianity support the idea of the "sanctity of choice"? As more public voices argue that Jesus never addressed abortion directly—or that Mary's response to God affirms a woman's right to choose—Christians are left asking an important question: What does Scripture actually teach?
In this episode of CareCast, Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro examine these growing theological claims through the lens of Scripture. Together they explore Jesus' command to love our neighbor, Mary's humble obedience in Luke 1:38, and why the gospel consistently points to the sanctity of every human life rather than the sanctity of personal autonomy.
You'll discover why the biblical response to an unplanned pregnancy is not condemnation or political rhetoric, but compassion, practical support, discipleship, and the hope found in Jesus Christ. This conversation also highlights Care Net's Pro Abundant Life vision—saving babies, strengthening families, and making disciples—as a faithful expression of God's design for life.
Whether you're seeking biblical clarity, engaging difficult cultural conversations, or equipping others to defend life with both truth and grace, this episode offers thoughtful insights rooted in God's Word.
Join the conversation as we ask a foundational question: Does Scripture teach the sanctity of choice—or the sanctity of life?
What Does Pro Abundant Life Look Like in the Real World? [Part 4 of 4]
2026/06/11
What does Care Net’s Pro Abundant Life vision actually look like in practice? Saving babies, building strong families, and making disciples sounds inspiring, but how does it work in churches, pregnancy centers, and communities?
In this episode of CareCast, Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro conclude their four-part series by answering one of the most important questions surrounding the Pro Abundant Life movement: How does this vision translate into real ministry?
Drawing from years of experience with pregnancy centers and churches across the country, they explain how the vision emerged from real-world needs and biblical truth—not theory. They also highlight powerful examples from ministries in Holland, Michigan, and First Baptist Orlando, where churches and pregnancy centers are working together to provide support, discipleship, and lasting transformation.
In this episode:
• It Starts with the Central Question
If a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy came to you and you could change everything except the fact that she is pregnant, what would you want for her? The answer points beyond saving a baby to building families and making disciples. Isaiah 7:14 reveals how God answered that question for Mary through Joseph and the family He provided.
• The Church Must Lead, Not Merely Support
Pregnancy centers repeatedly expressed the need for greater church involvement. Roland and Vince explain why abortion is not merely a political issue, but a discipleship issue. When churches embrace their Great Commission calling, they move from supporting the movement to leading it.
• Transformation Happens Through Partnership
Stories from Holland, Michigan, and First Baptist Orlando show what happens when pregnancy centers and churches work together. Women receive practical help, families are strengthened, and many who were once served return to serve others. This is the difference between transactional ministry and transformational ministry.
The Pro Abundant Life vision is not simply about preventing abortion. It is about helping mothers, fathers, and children experience the abundant life Jesus promised in John 10:10. When churches and pregnancy centers work together, lives are not only saved—they are transformed.
Watch now and discover what Pro Abundant Life ministry looks like in the real world.
Does the Pro Abundant Life Perspective Create an Unattainable Workload? [Part 3 of 4]
2026/05/06
In Part 3 of this four-part CareCast series, Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro address one of the biggest questions about the Pro Abundant Life perspective: if we focus on saving babies, building strong families, and making disciples, are we creating an unattainable workload?
Roland and Vince explain why the answer is no. When the mission is framed by Scripture—living out the Great Commandment to fulfill the Great Commission—the work is not expanded beyond what God calls His people to do. It is brought back into proper focus.
In this episode, they discuss why the “job description” matters, how the central question clarifies the work, and why gospel-centered transformation prevents compassion fatigue. A Pro Abundant Life approach does not exhaust the movement; it reconnects the work to Christ, the local church, and the transforming power of the gospel.
Aren’t All of these Added Issues the Work of the Church, Not the Pro-Life Movement? [Part 2 of 4]
2026/04/16
For years, the pro-life conversation has centered on one urgent goal: saving unborn lives. But what if that focus—while essential—isn’t enough to actually solve the problem?
In this episode of CareCast, Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro challenge a common assumption: that addressing issues like fatherhood, marriage, and discipleship somehow distracts from saving babies. Instead, they make the case that these aren’t “extra” issues at all—they are the strategy. When you ask a deeper question—what would we want for a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy if we could change everything but the fact that she’s pregnant—you begin to see a fuller picture emerge.
This conversation unpacks why:
Saving a baby is the starting point, not the finish line
Strong families are essential to breaking the cycle of abortion
The gospel is the only answer to the deeper, spiritual realities behind abortion decisions
If the goal is not just to save a life, but to build a life that lasts, it requires more than information or policy—it requires transformation through relationships, discipleship, and the local church.
The Pro Abundant Life perspective reframes the mission: not just leading people to a decision, but leading them to the cross.

Does the Focus on “Other Issues" Distract from the Goal of Saving Unborn Lives? [Part 1 of 4]
2026/04/09
Does focusing on fatherhood, marriage, and discipleship distract from the goal of saving unborn lives? In this episode of CareCast, Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro explain why the answer is no—and why those issues may actually be central to ending abortion.
They challenge the idea that saving a baby is the full solution. Instead, they argue that if we want to save this baby and future babies, we also need to think about the father, the family, and the transforming power of the gospel. Some women face abortion because support is missing. Others are shaped by a worldview that places self above all else. Both realities require more than a slogan—they require a Pro Abundant Life response.
This episode explores why real change means more than a decision in the moment. It means building families, making disciples, and creating the kind of support that helps life flourish long after birth. From Saving Lives to Helping Communities Flourish: What the Care Net Community Report Reveals
2025/12/30
In this episode of CareCast, Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro unpack Care Net’s newly released Community Savings Report and reveal a story that often goes unnoticed. The data shows more than impact—it shows transformation.
In just one year, Care Net’s network of pregnancy centers delivered over $143 million in free services to nearly half a million women and men, strengthening families, reducing strain on local social services, and quietly helping entire communities flourish.
But the conversation goes deeper than the numbers.
Roland and Vince contrast two models of care:
• A transactional approach that addresses crisis but often leads to burnout
• A transformational Pro-Abundant Life approach rooted in relationship, discipleship, and long-term support
They also highlight why partnership with the local church is the missing link in many pro-life efforts—and how integration into spiritual community breaks cycles of crisis for good.
📊 This episode explores:
• Why pregnancy centers are a net positive for communities
• How holistic care renews both clients and staff
• What happens when compassion, truth, and discipleship work together

When “Pro-Life” Isn’t Enough | Why the Church Must Reclaim the Conversation
2025/12/23
Many Americans identify as pro-life—yet support policies that still allow most abortions to continue. What happened?
In this CareCast episode, Care Net President & CEO Roland Warren and Chief Outreach Officer Vincent DiCaro unpack new data revealing a growing disconnect between the pro-life label and biblical conviction. When abortion is framed primarily as a political issue, definitions shift. But when life is rooted in the image of God, the standard does not move.
This conversation challenges the church to step back into its role—not as a political echo, but as a moral and spiritual leader—offering a Pro Abundant Life vision grounded in Scripture, compassion, and discipleship.

Does the Pro-Life Movement Need a Reset? Why the Church Must Lead the Way
2025/11/06
Does the pro-life movement need a reset?
In this episode of CareCast, Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro take a hard look at where the pro-life movement stands today—and where it needs to go next. Despite the overturning of Roe v. Wade, abortions are rising again, driven by the abortion pill and a culture that treats abortion as normal.
Roland and Vince explore why lasting change won’t come from politics alone. True transformation starts when the Church leads the way—helping families, discipling parents, and living out God’s design for abundant life. Hear how churches like First Baptist Orlando are showing what this reset looks like: saving lives, strengthening marriages, and making disciples under one roof.

From Boys to Fathers: Why the Boy Crisis is a Life Issue
2025/10/30
A new University of Virginia study led by Brad Wilcox confirms what decades of data—and God’s design—already show: children flourish when fathers are engaged and married to moms. But as CareCast hosts Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro explain, the implications go far beyond family health.
Care Net and Lifeway Research revealed that the most influential voice in a woman’s pregnancy decision is the man involved. That means today’s “boy crisis” isn’t just cultural—it’s a life issue. When boys grow up without strong male role models, they often become men who feel unprepared or unwilling to lead, love, and stay.
In this episode, Roland and Vince connect the dots between fatherhood, marriage, and the pro-life movement—showing why mentoring boys is good, but married fatherhood is essential.
Listen now and discover how the pro-life movement can move beyond saving babies to raising godly men who shape families and communities for generations.
CareCast: You Can Be Cool or Holy—Not Both. What the “Coolness” Study Reveals about Abortion.
2025/10/23
What does “cool” have to do with abortion? More than you think. In this episode, Roland Warren and Vince DiCaro unpack a recent study that defined six traits our culture calls cool—extroverted, hedonistic, powerful, adventurous, open, and autonomous—and ask a daring question: is the public case for abortion just another expression of those same values?
From ad campaigns to celebrity activism, Roland and Vince trace how “cool” thinking drives today’s abortion narratives—and then contrast it with the holiness of Christ: sacrifice over self-preservation, humility over control, and compassion over convenience.
This isn’t just about style; it’s about worldview. Discover how “cool” leads to self-focus, while holiness leads to abundant life.
