In 1 Corinthians 10, Roydon Frost reflects on God’s word of blessing, warning, and commandment, reminding us of the freedom, fellowship, and faithfulness we receive in Christ. Israel’s wilderness experience warns us not to become complacent or self-confident in our faith, but to recognise the idols that compete for our devotion. When temptation comes, God remains faithful and promises to provide a way through, calling us to trust him rather than ourselves. Ultimately, we are commanded to **flee from idolatry and flee to Christ**, the faithful Rock who sustains us through the wilderness of this life.

Saints & Sinners Part XV Roydon Frost - (Sunday 20 September 2026) by Christ Church Midrand

In Part XIV of Saints & Sinners, Roydon Frost explores 1 Corinthians 8:1–13, showing how knowledge can fuel pride while love builds others up. He reminds us that being fully known and loved by God is the foundation for knowing Him and loving others. Through practical examples, he challenges us to consider whether exercising our Christian freedoms could lead someone else into sin. This sermon calls us to follow Christ’s sacrificial love, willingly laying aside our rights to help others grow in faith.

In this sermon, Pastor Roydon Frost preaches on how following Jesus shapes our understanding of marriage and singleness. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 7, Marriage is a lifelong covenant, while singleness is a valuable gift for serving God. Neither status defines us or gives us ultimate fulfilment. Our primary identity is as servants of Christ, devoted to Him above all else.
