Missio Dei | Week 5 - Andreas Beccai
2026/08/19
Most of us have heard the word "mission" and felt one of two things: quiet guilt that we're not doing enough of it, or a vague sense that it belongs to other people. The particularly bold. The ones who pack up and move overseas. Either way, mission tends to feel like something outside ordinary life rather than woven into it. Missio Dei simply means "the Mission of God." The idea at its center is this: the mission doesn't belong to us first. It belongs to God. It has been moving through history since before any of us arrived, before the church existed, before Pentecost, before Bethlehem. God is a sending God. He sent his Son. He sent his Spirit. And in his grace, he invites us into the story he has been telling since the beginning of everything. These five weeks are not designed to make you feel more obligated. They are designed to make you feel more found and you don't need a passport or particular personality, or a theology degree to be part of this. What you need is what you already have: a life that is somewhere, a neighborhood that is somewhere, relationships that are somewhere. The mission of God is not looking for specialists. It is looking for people willing to show up. The mission of God is already underway. Welcome to the journey.

Broken Kingdoms | Week 5 - Andreas Beccai

Have you ever experienced the thrill of getting what you hoped for, only to realize it wasn’t as great as you imagined, or at least, not for long? Approximately 1000 years before the coming of Christ, the tribes of Israel asked for a king. Badgered and beaten by the armies of the Ammonites and the Philistines, the Israelites’ memories of deliverance from Egyptian slavery and the felled walls of Jericho faded. Disenchanted with God and His prophets, the children of Israel looked enviously at the neighboring nations. They ignored Samuel’s warning and insisted, “Give us a king like other nations have.”

This is True | Week 6 - Ron Aguilera

We are living in a time when truth feels harder to find than ever. We scroll, we listen, we react, and yet clarity often feels just out of reach. Whether you’ve felt confused, overwhelmed, frustrated, or even discouraged about what’s real and what’s reliable, you’re not alone. These next six weeks are designed to gently walk with you through this very human experience, not with judgment or oversimplification, but with the compassion and wisdom of Jesus Himself. In this series, we will explore a different way of approaching truth — not as a weapon to win arguments, not as a badge to prove we’re right, and not as something we must grasp perfectly in order to belong. Instead, we’ll journey into truth as Scripture presents it: truth as relationship, truth as humility, truth as community, and ultimately truth as a Person — Jesus Christ. You don’t need to be a philosopher or theologian to take this journey — you just need an open heart and a willingness to let Jesus lead. Our hope for this series is simple: that you would breathe a little easier, listen a little deeper, and learn to recognize the voice of Jesus with greater clarity. We pray that as you engage in the sermons, small groups, devotionals, and conversations, you’ll discover that truth in the Christian story is not something to fear — it is something that leads us into freedom.
