Advertise on podcast: Let's Anime

Clears throat. Uncomfortably adjusts pants. So, uh… son. You're getting older now, and there's something your mother and I think you should know about. It's… anime. Now, you're going to start noticing certain things. Like… girls with unusually large… personalities. And sometimes boys get transported to other worlds where they're suddenly very… powerful. That's called an isekai. It's perfectly natural. Anyway, there's this podcast called Let’s Anime, where Dustin and Lindsay discuss these… feelings. They talk about Tank Chair, Psyren, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Firefly Wedding. That last one involves a young woman and an assassin who develop a very… special relationship. And, uh… sometimes you'll see something called fan service. Now, there's nothing wrong with being curious, but just remember that real women don't usually fall over and accidentally lose their clothes. Long, uncomfortable silence. Look, some anime are good. Some are bad. And some… well, some you probably shouldn't watch with your mother in the room. The important thing is that you find someone you trust, like Dustin and Lindsay, to help you understand what you're experiencing. Pats son awkwardly on shoulder. Anyway… if you have any questions, ask your uncle. He watches a lot of this stuff. Gets up. And, uh… clear your browser history, son. Your mother knows how to check.

Welcome, welcome! Summer has wrapped... as far as anime is concerned becuase Lindsay and Dustin are going through a heat wave in October. Please write your congress person. We're wrapping the shows that made it through the summer with us and let me be the first to say, the summer was crap. It's a crap season this year and nothing much stood out. That said, there's still a small handful of shows that knocked out socks off, cleaned them, but them back on, knocked them off again and then stole them for good.

Welcome, welcome! Two episodes back to back! Not quite, I was just on vacation and forgot to post the other episode and then we recorded again and boy howdy do things get unhinged. Anime covered on this episode: The Ogre's Bride, Black Torch, Please Excuse My Younger Brothers and The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects.

Welcome, welcome! We're back after pooping the bed on recording and also posting said podcasts so you get two this week! Listen people... we're just two people and 2026 has sucked so we're going to do our best at the bi-weekly thing. Covered on this episode: 100 Girlfriends, Hana Kimi, Chainsmoker Cat, Old Country Bumpkin and the World's Strongest Rearguard.

Welcome, welcome! On this week's show we're covering more Liar's Game which is where our title comes from this week. Linday also wraps up the third season of "How I Slept With A Vending Machine" or Boxo and that Strong Girl get busy. Meanwhile Dustin covers I Want To Love You Until Your Dying Day, which is an anime not a question for you. Lastly, more smoking, this time behind a supermarket.

Welcome, welcome! You f*****g know what time it is! It's summer and that means a ton of new anime! I don't know what else to say because if you listen to the show (first off thank you) then you know what you're about to get and if you don't I'll just say that one of us watched 20 shows and the other watched 8 and only one of those shows overlapped... enjoy you weebs!

Welcome, welcome! Its that time again when we say fair well to the shows we've been watching. This time it's spring and there was a lot of love in the air... and boobies. Welcome, welcome! We have a movie review for you today. We're way overdue on breaking up our routine with a movie and frankly it's been a busy month which has lead to a decrease in podcasting time. We're getting back into our groove, but that groove needs to expand into an unrecognizable song on the vinyl. This metaphor doesn't work, and neither did this movie! Get ready for Shakesphere's Hamlet, some aferlife discussion... time traveling, the worst medic known to man and a bad ass dragon. This movie has all the makings of something great or something hella confusing. I wondering which it is? Oh and if you came here thinking you could for some reason watch the movie, I don't know how to help you. This is an audio podcast and I even added the word "review" in the title.

Welcome, welcome! Are you having a busy month of May? Because we are! Linday almost didn't get to say "Ani-May" this year and that would have broken some poor listeners heart. I don't konw which listeners heart... but they wouldn't have been broken. Well May is leaving quickly, anime is going quickly and so we need to just get to the part where I tell you want the hell we covered, but first if you live near or in LA or you're planning on coming out I do cover the WB Studios current Superman Experience which is worth checking out. They didn't pay me, but they should. Anime actually covered on this episode: Liar's Game, YowaYowa Sensei, The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, Rent-A-Girlfriend and Devian't Apartment Complex.

Welcome, welcome! We're back with more new shows from this season and let's just say that a lot of them take place in high school. Also, your favorite segment, "Is it porn" is back... though this is an anime podcast so I probably should have called it "Is it hentrai". Please forgive the error. Shows covered on this episode: The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch, Even a Replica Can Fall in Love, Fist of the Northstar: Hokuto No Ken, Haibara's Teenage New Game+, I Want To End This Love Game, Ingoku Danchi: Deviant's Apartment Complex, Kill Blue, Killed Again Mr. Detective, Kirio Fanclub, Mao, Marika's Love Meter Malfunction and Yowayowa Sensei.

Welcome, welcome!! Spring is in the air, allergies are in the air, anime is in the air... we cover a ton of first episodes for you to enjoy, so many that I didn't feel like typing it and I'm hoping Spotify's goddamn AI will help with that.

It is time for the winter 2026 anime cour wrap. I think any season with JJK is bound to leave us feeling wiped out and make it hard to even remotely care about all the first episodes we began, but we finish with 17 shows collectively. Also, the return of the poll! Please fill it out it's a dozy with multiple, muliple options! Shows covered on this episode: Oshi No Ko, An Adventurer's Grind at age 29, Anyway I'm Falling In Love With You, The Case Book of Arne, Chained Soilder, The Daily Life of the Immortal King, Does It Cound If YOu Lose Your Innocence to an Android, Hana-Kimi, Jack-of-all-Trades Party of One, Journal with Witch, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kunon the Sorcerer Can See, A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans, Shiboyugi: Playing Death Games To Put Food on teh Table, You Can't Be In A Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends

Welcome, welcome! We're getting back to our bi-weekly ways and man do we have a theme for you... bad romance and lust, and men confused about their sexual identity. That's the theme, its a weird week! Shows covered on this episode include: Anyway I'm Falling IN Love With You, Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai, Chained Soldier, Does It Count If You Lose Your Innocence to an Android? Hana-Kimi, Jujutsu Kaisen, The discussion began with a brief mention of Diet Cherry Coke or Coke Zero before transitioning to an energy drink called Coke Energy, Cherry Coke Energy, which the speaker lamented was being discontinued. The conversation then shifted to a recent staycation where the speaker completed 28 tasks around the house, including reorganizing a closet and a storage room and getting rid of many items through donation. The one task the speaker did not accomplish was dealing with their children's artwork and school papers, as a scanning service they planned to use changed its business model to exclude school paperwork, prompting the speaker to plan on buying their own scanner. This led to a brief story about one of the speaker's children who tries to avoid wearing socks to school because socks are associated with attending school. The speakers then began their anime show, Let's Anime, with a discussion about changing the opening format because the host is "tired of telling everyone [their] personal stuff" and teased drama at work. They then discussed the anime Hanakimi, about a girl pretending to be a boy in an all-boys school, and Chain Soldier season two, which was characterized by a "lust or something" theme and frequent sexual content, including a scene involving a "forced reward system" where the main male character is treated like a dog by the Supreme Commander. The reward system later featured French kissing with a topless girl and her mother "sandwiching" the protagonist, all while the mother insisted her reluctant daughter properly perform the reward.

Welcome, welcome! We're back with our second round of first episodes and really we talk about more than the first episodes unless they sucked. Anyway, we're back on schedule and thank you for waiting!
