10.25.26 “What Is 'The Image Of God?' ” | Genesis | David Evanger - Audio
2026/10/25
I’m really excited to continue our conversation around God’s unique creative activity in the creation of humankind. So, what does it mean to be “God’s image & likeness” in the world? Is this an essence thing? Or is it a functional thing? Or something else? * BAPTISM STORIES -- https://siderischurch.com/stories * MUSIC PLAYLIST -- https://tinyurl.com/fkzpkjwh * SERMON PODCAST -- https://tinyurl.com/2sn3msmn * CONNECT WITH US -- https://siderischurch.com/connectcard * MORE GOSPEL RESOURCES -- https://siderischurch.com/resources
10.18.26 “Genesis & 'Receiving' ” | Genesis | David Evanger - Audio
2026/10/18
What if our primary purpose isn't to give to God, but to receive from Him? Continuing our series through Genesis, we explore what it means to be recipients of God's grace, created in His image and invited into a personal relationship with Him. Discover how recognizing all we've received from God leads us to worship, gratitude, and a deeper life of prayer. 2026/10/11
Genesis 1:6-26 | As we read the 6 days of creation we notice several threads running through them, yet below the surface there is something even more stark and startling on display, and it turns out it is exactly what all people, everywhere need to hear... * BAPTISM STORIES -- https://siderischurch.com/stories * MUSIC PLAYLIST -- https://tinyurl.com/fkzpkjwh * SERMON PODCAST -- https://tinyurl.com/2sn3msmn * CONNECT WITH US -- https://siderischurch.com/connectcard * MORE GOSPEL RESOURCES -- https://siderischurch.com/resources
10.4.26 "Formless Void + Ruach = Light, Life" | Genesis 1:2-5 | David Evanger - Audio
2026/10/04
Genesis 1:2-5 | We will ask questions of the meaning of words like “formless/void” and "light" and specifically what is this thing hovering over the darkness, the Hebrew word "ruwach?" Is it referring to “spirit” or "wind" or "breath" or "idea" or something else? So many things to observe and ask how these observations help our everyday walk with God. * BAPTISM STORIES -- https://siderischurch.com/stories * MUSIC PLAYLIST -- https://tinyurl.com/fkzpkjwh * SERMON PODCAST -- https://tinyurl.com/2sn3msmn * CONNECT WITH US -- https://siderischurch.com/connectcard * MORE GOSPEL RESOURCES -- https://siderischurch.com/resources
9.27.26 "What’s Another Day?" | Genesis: Intro PART TWO | D. Marcus Evanger - Audio
2026/09/27
Genesis 1:2 – 2:4 | What is the flow of Genesis chapter 1 actually trying to tell us about God and ourselves? As we continue our journey through the opening chapters of Genesis, Pastor Dave Evanger explores how we should read the creation story within its ancient context and literary structure. Rather than approaching Genesis only with questions of “how?” or “how long?”, we’re invited to pay attention to the deeper questions of who created, why He created, and what creation reveals about the heart of God. From the poetic structure and repetition of Genesis 1 to the different ways Christians have understood the days of creation, we discover a God who intentionally brings order, purpose, beauty, and life into His world. And at the heart of the creation story is a powerful reminder about our own identity: we were not created simply to work, produce, and prove our value. We were made good, very good, and invited to enjoy God’s creation, rest in His presence, live in community, and partner with Him in His work throughout the world. “You are made good, very good. And not just to work and produce for God, but to enjoy His good creation, His presence, and partner with Him in His revelation of light throughout the cosmos.” Join us as we continue exploring Genesis and what the beginning of the biblical story reveals about God, humanity, and the world He created. * BAPTISM STORIES -- https://siderischurch.com/stories * MUSIC PLAYLIST -- https://tinyurl.com/fkzpkjwh * SERMON PODCAST -- https://tinyurl.com/2sn3msmn * CONNECT WITH US -- https://siderischurch.com/connectcard * MORE GOSPEL RESOURCES -- https://siderischurch.com/resources

9.13.26 | Psalm 26| Standing on Level Ground | Summer of Psalms | D. M. Evanger - Audio
2026/09/14
We close out this year’s Summer of Psalms with Psalm 26 and a powerful question: What ground are we standing on? Psalm 26 presents a picture of integrity, faithfulness, and a life devoted to God. But when we stand before a holy God, can any of us truly claim that our own goodness is enough? Through Psalm 26, the story of Martin Luther, and the message of the gospel, we’re reminded that our solid ground isn’t our performance, our good works, or our ability to get everything right. Our solid ground is Jesus Christ. At the foot of the cross, the ground is level. We come not claiming our own righteousness, but trusting in the grace of God through Jesus. “My foot stands on level ground; I will bless the LORD in the assemblies.” — Psalm 26:12 Join us as we conclude Summer of Psalms and consider what it means to stand firmly on the grace of Christ. 9.6.26 | Psalm 148| What if Everything Praised God? | Summer of Psalms | Joseph Cox - Audio
2026/09/06
What does it mean for all of creation to praise God? In this message, Sideris lay elder and guest preacher Joseph Cox takes us through Psalm 148 and its invitation to see God’s glory throughout the heavens, the earth, and everything He has made. From the sun and stars to the trees, animals, and people, all creation declares His goodness by faithfully being what He created it to be. As we continue our Summer of Psalms series, we’re reminded that we can join this “mighty chorus” by worshiping God not only with our voices, but through the way we live, with holiness, righteousness, and good works. This Sunday, we dive into Psalm 61 - What do we do when we feel far from God? Psalm 61 reminds us that God is our refuge and leads us from the ends of the earth into His presence. Psalm 104 | "Creation's Song" | Summer of Psalms 8.16.26 | D. M. Evanger - Audio
2026/08/16
The Summer of Psalms continues this Sunday as we look at a beautiful song that celebrates Creation. In Psalm 104, we’re invited to “wake up our souls” and bless the Lord by looking closely at the world He has made. From mountains and oceans to wild donkeys and lions, creation points us beyond itself to the Creator and reveals His transcendence, might, wisdom, and provision. But creation also raises an important question: What is creation itself? As you prepare for Sunday, read through Psalm 104 and begin pondering this question: Q: Is creation itself... a. Divine b. The Message c. A Messenger Join us as we explore Psalm 104 and consider what creation reveals about God, what it says about who we are, and how we are called to be His messengers in the world.
