Trusting the Narrative
2026/11/01
Reading the Bible matters. But how we read the Bible matters even more. This morning we begin a new series on a way to read the Bible that can and should bring new shape and meaning to the world found in scripture. Join us as we trust love to be the primary narrative through which we read God’s story to us and for us. We cannot read the book of Love and be scared.
The Wisdom with One Another
2026/10/25
We conclude our series by having a conversation with one of our own, Jenny Hanson. Jenny is a licensed therapist who will respond to several questions about mental health and ways we can be more helpful to one another for this tender journey.
The Age of Anxiety
2026/10/18
This morning we look at depression's close cousin: anxiety. Join us as we look at a several texts in which disciples are anxious and fearful. Join us as we hear Jesus pronounce “peace” over the anxieties that crash into our world.
The Darkness of Depression
2026/10/11
Today we dive into the darkness of what so many experience in the valley of this life. Join us as we seek to lean into scripture as we learn and gain strength from the nearness of God while also receiving practical insight on ways to be with those in crisis.
It's Time We Talked
2026/10/04
This morning we launch our series addressing mental health. Join us as we begin this tender conversation and explore how the story of scripture speaks into this often ignored topic. We approach this series with grace and humility and ask that you remain open to the words God has for each of us.
Eating
2026/09/27
We conclude our sermon series by coming back to a primary image and invitation to eat with Jesus and those he was with. Will we connect to Jesus with others at the table?
Listening
2026/09/20
Today we are reminded that Jesus has something to say and we are invited to listen. But will we open our ears to what God is doing in the world?
Blessing
2026/09/13
This morning we listen to Jesus teaching as he reminds disciples of the true nature of the kingdom life. Will we receive and become the blessing God intends?
Training
2026/08/30
This morning we return to the beginning of the ministry of Jesus and notice how he “trained” for ministry in the wilderness and was led by the Holy Spirit. Will we choose to pursue the habits of Jesus?
A Refuge for Rescue
2026/08/23
We launch our new series this morning by renewing our commitment to our mission to be a Refuge church. Join us as we explore the first church to live fully into a refuge posture so they could rescue the world. Today we imagine a church for discipleship not just membership.
Livin’ On A Prayer
2026/08/16
We conclude our study on James this morning by listening afresh to the final exhortations for prayer, community, and faith. Join us as we learn to live into these concluding words of challenge from the brother of Jesus.
Waiting on the World to Change
2026/08/09
How is your patience in the midst of your suffering? Today James invites us to consider a world imagined in scripture where God has the final word and we, as disciples of Jesus, set an example of endurance for those around us.
Candle in the Wind
2026/08/02
"Your life is a mist." This is a challenging word as we consider the time we do spend with the time we have left. This morning we lean in and listen to James as he gives some "timely" instructions on how we live a life of discipleship.
Let’s Talk About Me
2026/07/26
You cannot be in a relationship without experiencing conflict. In the churches James is writing, it is obvious there is conflict amongst themselves and with the world in which they live. Churches who follow Jesus have some decisions to make... are we willing to make the right choice?
Man in the Mirror
2026/07/19
This morning James is addressing perhaps the most difficult of all teachings: words matter so watch what you say. I hope you make plans to not only listen but absorb the righteous gentleness James encourages.
