SUMMARY Kenina finds herself in a rather awkward position after completing The Bonding Ritual with Fioch, where Biri and Verna are both upset that she made such an important decision without discussing it with them first, and enthralled at what new information they can learn now that she has Bonded the Axe.  After being knocked out of a tree by a corrupted Dire Bear, Tempest finds herself unconscious, facing certain death, until Oberyn steps out of the trees to finish what she had started. He then harvests the corrupted creature’s heart to bring back to The Guild for study. In the morning, Ariel decides that she actually really doesn’t like snakes and makes another attempt at the Find Familiar ritual, trying to turn her new friend into something else. Meanwhile, Rem finds himself pulled from a meeting with Nym, onto some sort of exam table while a gaunt giant of a man screams at him for being so reckless with his soul. SUMMARY Having spent basically all day studying for the adventure ahead of the party, Rem finally retires to his room for the night, while Ariel spends time in her own room experimenting with what it means to be a ritual caster by trying to summon her first familiar. During this time, Kenina is still in The Vault enduring the rest of her Dragonbond Trial. She sees a few more scene that seem to be important to Fioch and Doitean before trying to grab the Orb that seems to be missing from the Axe and waking up, exhausted, back in The Guild. Meanwhile, Tempest journeys deeper into the woods, alone, where she is confronted by a large, possibly cursed, dire bear. She then meets up with the rest of the girls for dinner, while Rem remains buried inside of books, maps, and charts, planning for the upcoming journey to The Faevale. After eating, Kenina and Tempest make their way up to the Guild masters Chambers for the meetings. Oberyn wishes Kenina good luck with whatever Biri has in store for her before leaving the city with Tempest. Ariel realizes she had some things to plan with the group after everyone split up and went to write everyone a note for the following day. While preparing, Kenina and Tempest both find letters in their rooms instructing them to meet with the guild masters tomorrow. Meanwhile, Rem heads to his room, where he, once again, finds himself dealing with the aftermath of his Fort falling. After a full night’s rest, the party has a number of errands to run, but before they can get started, a note is slid under Ariel’s door, requesting that she meet the guild masters. Now. Alberich leads them down to where Verna is waiting for them in The Vault. The shadow creature had appeared, only it appeared at the spear. Send a message to the show! SUMMARY The party has some time off before they get ready for their next adventure. Naturally, after being gone for so long on their first real adventure, they have to do some resupplying and they realize some things that they are missing for long journeys away from the city. After a group stop at Gregorio’s General Emporium of the Regular and Mundane for general supplies, the party splits into a few groups to do some focused shopping of their own. Kenina, Tempest, and Ariel visit the farrier to acquire saddles for the horses as well as inquire about getting armor for the horses. Rem revisits Gizgig, the Alchemist, before returning to the stables to drop some stuff off. After the farrier, Ariel makes her way to the farmers market area of Riven to buy treats for the horses, while Kenina and Tempest visit a blacksmith to inquire about getting armor and weapons for the cart, as well as armor for the horses, since that was not something the farrier offers. Kenina finds herself whisked away in a dream once again to confront Doitean and learns a lot about the history of Dragons. Upon waking up the next day, each member of the party finds themselves called in front of the guild masters, alone. Rem is given a mysterious letter and a package. Ariel is asked about her experiences with the spear. Kenina confesses about her meetings with Doitean and her connection to Fioch is brought up. Everyone is asked if they believe Tempest is a good fit for their group and if she is ready for the journey ahead. Believing that everyone is on board with the path that has been laid out in front of them, the Guild Masters call the entire party in together in order to point them in what they believe is the next best direction. Realizing that a new threat seems to be after them and the ship is not as safe as they expected it to be, they chose to set up watches for the rest of the journey. Ariel calls every for a meeting and tells them that she thinks it is best if she stays in the room with The Spear in case something happens again. Kenina takes this opportunity to tell the party about her recent dream about Doitean and prods the rest of the party to share any strange dreams that they may be having. Send a message to the show! SUMMARY After playing some of the games outside, the party makes their way back into the Port Norsal arena to see what has been set up now that the main event is over. They find an archery range, melee ring, a strange mechanical creature people are trying to ride, and a mysterious tent in the colors of the Midnight Carnival. Tempest and Kenina are most excited head over to the mechanical creature to try their luck and endurance with it, though they convince Ariel to give it a try too. Afterwards, everyone goes to see what the mysterious tent is all about and learn it is a fortune teller. They sit through a couple rituals before making their ways back to get food and head to their room, while Rem goes to check on the status of his armor.
