Vision Month - Community
2026/09/13
What does it really mean to be moved by compassion?
In this Sunday’s message at Sutton Vineyard, Claire explores how Jesus modelled a compassion that doesn’t simply feel for people, but moves us to action. Through the story of the Good Samaritan, we’re challenged to open our eyes to the needs around us and ask whether we’re willing to be interrupted to love and serve others.
We also hear from members of the Sutton Vineyard community about how this is being lived out locally through ministries including Warm Welcome, Growbaby and Grace Advocacy — creating spaces of welcome, practical support, prayer and hope for people across Sutton.
Ultimately, the invitation is simple: to ask the Holy Spirit to stir our hearts with compassion and allow that compassion to move us to action — both individually and together as a church.
Posture - Submission in Prayer
2026/08/30
The way we position ourselves in prayer can sometimes change our circumstances. Not because there is anything special about how we pray, but coming to God with submissive hearts opens us up in a way that means we listen. Join us as Anthony and Sarah share two perspectives on submitting to God through prayer.
Posture - Approaching God
2026/08/23
Continuing our summer series, "Posture", Sam looks at the woman in Mark 5 who had suffered for twelve years with bleeding impacting her physically, socially, emotionally and financially, before reaching out to touch Jesus. We explore what it means to come to God not as strangers hoping for a fleeting touch, but as sons and daughters already welcomed home, echoing the father who runs to meet the prodigal son before he can even apologise. Whatever we are carrying we are invited to approach God, not in secret with shame, but instead to run to him, already known, already loved, already invited in.
Posture - Gratitude
2026/08/16
We're called to have an attitude of gratitude. But, what if you don't feel like it? What if being grateful feels tough? As we continue in a posture towards God, we look at what it means to choose gratitude.

Everybody Gets To Play - Teach Us to Pray
2026/07/20
The foundation of prayer is too often thin and fragile. Without prayer, we are misaligned and reliant on our own strength. Prayer ministry is not for the chosen few, but it is for everyone. How and what do we pray? Today we talk about the Jesus model of prayer and how it helps us.
Everybody Gets To Play - My Money
2026/07/12
Money is one of the biggest competitors for our hearts, and Jesus knew it. We explore what it means to move from ownership to stewardship, recognising that everything we have is ultimately God's. Rather than being driven by fear, comparison or the pursuit of more, we're invited to live with open hands.
The Great I Am - I Am The True Vine
2026/06/21
Ever finished a hard bike ride wondering why it felt like the brakes were rubbing the whole way? The Christian life can feel exactly like that, and Pete reckons the problem isn't trying too little, but being plugged into the wrong thing. Join us in John 15 for vines, dodgy acer pruning, and a carefully weighed cup of coffee-shaped disappointment, as we find that Jesus is the bean, not the kit.
The Great I Am - I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life
2026/06/14
"I am the way, the truth, and the life" sounds like a claim about religion — about doing the right things, knowing the right answers, feeling the right feelings. But what if way, truth, and life aren't three separate boxes to tick, but an inseparable whole? And what if the point isn't religion at all, but a relationship?
In this sermon, Paul explores John 14:6 – Jesus' answer to a very practical question from a very practical disciple – and what it means for how we actually live in this life and the next.
The Great I Am - I Am the Good Shepherd- John 10:11-14
2026/05/31
What makes a shepherd good and why is Jesus our good shepherd? Explore with us how Jesus actively seeks us, guides us and provides for us as the ultimate shepherd for humanity.
Pentecost - The Person of The Holy Spirit
2026/05/24
In this powerful Pentecost Sunday message from Sutton Vineyard, Julian explores the person and power of the Holy Spirit and what it means to live a Spirit-filled life. Looking at Acts 2 and Ephesians, he unpacks how the Holy Spirit brings comfort, guidance, conviction, healing and assurance, while empowering believers to grow closer to God and live out their faith with boldness.
Through personal stories, biblical teaching and practical encouragement, this talk dives into spiritual gifts, prayer, prophecy and the importance of pursuing God with hunger and expectation. Whether you’re completely new to faith or have been following Jesus for years, this message is an invitation to encounter the presence of God in a deeper way and discover how the Holy Spirit works in everyday life.
The Great I Am - I Am The Door (or Gate) of the Sheep - John 10:7-9
2026/05/17
Join us as we dive into the radical, counter-cultural claim that Jesus is "The Gate"—the singular point of entry to a life of true security and purpose. Discover how moving past the "buffet-style" spirituality of our world leads us into the abundant pasture of a Saviour who doesn't just watch over us, but literally lays His life down for our protection.
The Great I Am - "I Am the Light of the World"
2026/05/10
Jesus says boldly in John 8 ‘I Am the Light of the World’ - but what does this mean for us? Hannah unpacks that not only can we find hope in a single flicker of light but we can partner with the power of Jesus in life over death and allow Him to uncover the hidden things in our lives, community and world.
The Great I Am - "I am the bread of life John 6:35"
2026/05/03
Julian kicks off The Great I Am series by exploring Jesus’ powerful statement, “I am the Bread of Life” (John 6). In a culture full of competing voices and surface-level spirituality, this talk challenges us to move beyond seeing Jesus as just a good man or teacher—and instead encounter Him as the true source of life, sustenance, and satisfaction.
Using relatable food analogies and real-life insight, Julian unpacks how we often chase things that leave us empty, while Jesus offers something deeper: daily provision, steady faith, and lasting fulfilment. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or have been in church for years, this message invites you to come back to the table and find true life in Him.
