Gospel of Luke 19 | Monte Judah | 2026
2026/02/12
In this episode of The Gospel of Luke, Monte Judah continues the verse-by-verse study with Luke chapter 18, beginning at verse 1. This powerful teaching examines some of Yeshua’s most challenging and encouraging lessons, including persistent prayer, humility before God, obedience flowing from faith, and the promise of eternal reward. Monte explains the Parable of the Persistent Widow and why believers must not lose heart while waiting on the Lord. He contrasts humility and self-righteousness through the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector, revealing what truly justifies a person before God. This episode also addresses Yeshua’s interaction with children, the rich ruler’s question about eternal life, and the balance between faith, obedience, and grace. Monte ties these teachings to Torah, the commandments, and the coming Kingdom of God, offering clarity often missing from modern explanations. This study challenges believers to remain faithful, humble, obedient, and encouraged—trusting that God’s rewards are far greater than anything we sacrifice. 📖 Scripture Focus: Luke 18:1–30 📺 Series: Gospel of Luke 🎙 Teacher: Monte Judah 🏷 Ministry: Lion and Lamb Ministries Thanks for watching, praying, and supporting Lion and Lamb Ministries. 🕊️ Watch more teachings and Q&A on Lion and Lamb TV. Gospel of Luke 18 | Monte Judah | 2026
2026/02/12
In this episode of The Teaching of the Gospel of Luke, Monte Judah continues the verse-by-verse study through Gospel of Luke, beginning in Luke 17:11 and exploring one of Yeshua’s most practical and prophetic teachings. The lesson opens with the cleansing of the ten lepers—a powerful account that highlights faith, obedience, and gratitude. Although all ten men are healed as they act in faith on Yeshua’s command, only one returns to give thanks. Monte Judah explains the Torah background behind the law of leprosy, the priestly cleansing ritual, and why the healing of lepers was understood as a sign of Messiah’s presence in the land. This moment becomes a teaching not only about gratitude toward God, but about ministry itself—why many receive help, yet only a few remain committed. The teaching then shifts to a discussion of the Kingdom of God. When questioned by the Pharisees about when the Kingdom would come, Yeshua responds that it is already “in your midst.” Monte Judah defines the Kingdom using three biblical elements: a King, a land, and servants. With Messiah present in the land and disciples following Him, the Kingdom had already begun—yet a greater, future Kingdom still lies ahead. From there, Yeshua begins addressing His future departure and return. He explains that His coming will not be gradual or hidden, but sudden and unmistakable—like lightning across the sky. Before that return, however, He must suffer, be rejected, and accomplish redemption so that the Kingdom can expand through many servants. Yeshua then describes what the world will be like just before His return, comparing it to the days of Noah and the days of Lot. Life will appear normal—people eating, marrying, buying, and building—while judgment draws near. Monte Judah clarifies common misunderstandings about end-time signs, emphasizing that Scripture does not point to chaos alone as the final sign, but rather a world continuing on unaware, just as before the Flood. The episode concludes with a sober explanation of survival, escape, and endurance during the Great Tribulation. Drawing from Luke 17, Matthew 24, Revelation, and the Exodus pattern, Monte Judah outlines the biblical paths believers will face—highlighting that endurance ultimately comes not from human preparation alone, but from trusting God to save, sustain, and deliver His servants. This teaching calls believers to gratitude, faithfulness, readiness, and endurance—reminding us that the Kingdom of God is already among us, yet a far greater fulfillment is still ahead. Gospel of Luke 17 | Monte Judah | 2025
2026/02/12
In this episode of The Teaching of the Gospel of Luke, Monte Judah continues his verse-by-verse study through Gospel of Luke, focusing on some of Yeshua’s most sobering and clarifying teachings. Beginning in Luke 16:18, Yeshua addresses the issue of divorce—not as a blanket condemnation, but as a correction of treacherous behavior that attempts to justify adultery through remarriage. Monte Judah carefully explains the Torah foundation behind Yeshua’s words, showing how Scripture consistently defines divorce as a tragic concession to human hardness of heart rather than God’s design. The teaching then moves into Luke 16:19–31, the account of the rich man and Lazarus—not a parable, but a real event involving real people. This passage offers one of the clearest biblical explanations of what happens after death. Yeshua describes two distinct destinations, conscious awareness after death, and a fixed separation between the righteous and the unrighteous. Monte Judah expands on this passage by addressing common questions about heaven, hell, paradise, resurrection, and judgment—grounding the discussion firmly in Scripture. He also shares deeply personal testimony involving near-death experiences within his own family, illustrating how these biblical truths align with real-life encounters. The episode concludes with Luke 17:1–10, where Yeshua teaches on forgiveness, faith, and humble service. Faith is defined not as emotion or effort, but as believing and acting upon the promises of God. The lesson ends with a powerful reminder: obedience does not earn honor—it is simply doing what servants of God are called to do. This teaching offers clarity, comfort, and correction—inviting believers to examine their lives, trust God’s promises, and live faithfully while awaiting the coming Kingdom. Gospel of Luke 16 | Monte Judah | 2025
2026/02/12
In this Luke study, Monte Judah begins in Luke 15 with the setting: tax collectors and sinners drawing near to hear Yeshua, while Pharisees complain that He receives them and eats with them. Yeshua answers with three parables that reveal what Heaven values most: repentance. First, the parables of the lost sheep and lost coin teach that there is more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents than ninety-nine who believe they need no repentance. Monte emphasizes that while modern ministry can become obsessed with signs and healings, the greatest miracle in God’s eyes is a transformed life—repentance that turns someone back to Him. Then, the prodigal son unfolds as both a picture of grace and mercy and, at a deeper level, a prophetic hint toward Israel’s restoration. Monte explains the contrast between the younger son who squanders his inheritance and returns humbled, and the older son who resents the Father’s generosity. The story exposes the tension between human demands for “fairness” and God’s willingness to restore what was lost. Monte also presents a prophetic layer: the “fatted calf” imagery as a pointer to Ephraim and the prophesied reunification of Ephraim and Judah (Ezekiel 37; Isaiah 11). He connects this to the modern Messianic movement, where many non-Jewish believers are drawn to Torah, Israel, and Messiah—raising questions and conflicts that echo the “older brother” response. Moving into Luke 16, Yeshua teaches the parable of the unrighteous manager—a lesson on wisdom, relationships, resolving conflicts, and the danger of serving wealth. Monte stresses that believers must prioritize God over money, and that many money problems are really judgment problems. Finally, Monte tackles a frequently misused passage: Luke 16:16–17. Rather than teaching that the Gospel replaces Torah, Yeshua reinforces Torah’s permanence—it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of the letter of the law to fail. The episode concludes with a preview of the next study: Lazarus and the rich man. Gospel of Luke 15

In Luke chapter 14, Yeshua attends a Sabbath meal at the home of a Pharisee, where He confronts false understandings of Sabbath, exposes pride and social ambition, and teaches the true cost of discipleship. This study explores healing on the Sabbath, humility before God, hospitality without expectation of return, the parable of the great banquet, and Yeshua’s sobering call to count the cost before following Him. Discipleship is not casual belief—it is wholehearted devotion, humility, and trust that God can use even small faithfulness for eternal impact. Shalom everyone—welcome back to Lion and Lamb Ministries’ study of the Gospel of Luke. In this episode, Monte Judah continues through Luke chapter 12, focusing on some of the most serious and practical teachings Messiah gives regarding our relationship with God. We begin with the controversial warning about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, why it is described differently than words spoken against the Son of Man, and how rejecting God’s witness ultimately leaves no path to mercy. From there, Yeshua encourages believers not to fear when challenged by authorities, promising that the Holy Spirit will give words in the very hour we need them. The lesson then shifts into real-world conflict: inheritance disputes, greed, and a powerful parable of the rich man who stores up goods—only to lose his life that very night. Messiah calls us away from anxiety over food and clothing and toward a life that seeks the Kingdom first, trusting God to meet our needs. Finally, Yeshua moves into end-time readiness: keep your lamps lit, live as servants expecting the Master’s return, and learn to discern the spiritual “weather” of the times. If we can read the sky, we must also learn to recognize the signs of the season we’re living in. Gospel of Luke 13 | Monte Judah | 2025
2026/01/08
Shalom, everyone. In this episode of Lion & Lamb’s Gospel of Luke study, Monte Judah begins at Luke 11:37, where Yeshua is invited to lunch by a Pharisee. The encounter reveals a major conflict between Yeshua and the religious leadership of His day—centered on outward tradition versus inward obedience. We walk through Yeshua’s rebuke of hypocrisy, His warnings about burdensome man-made standards, and His teaching that God is concerned with the inside of the cup—the heart. Then we move into Luke 12, where Yeshua instructs His disciples to beware the leaven of the Pharisees, to fear God rather than man, and to trust the Father’s care—even under pressure. 📖 Passage focus: Luke 11:37–54; Luke 12:1–13 🙏 If you’re blessed by this teaching and want to help Lion & Lamb continue producing free resources, you can partner with the ministry: Visit LLGive.com Or call 405-447-4429 Shalom. 00:00 – Intro: Returning to Luke; starting at Luke 11:37 01:05 – Yeshua invited to lunch by a Pharisee 02:05 – The issue: ceremonial washing vs. real cleanliness 03:05 – “Clean the outside… inside full of greed”: the heart issue 04:45 – Woe #1: tithing herbs but neglecting justice & love of God 06:00 – Religious appearance vs inward hypocrisy 07:10 – Woes continue: honor-seeking and “unseen tombs” 08:05 – The lawyers object: “You insult us too” 08:35 – Woes to the lawyers: burdens on people, no help offered 09:20 – Honoring dead prophets while sharing their guilt 10:10 – “Key of knowledge” taken away; hindering others 11:00 – Hostility escalates; leaders plot to trap Yeshua 11:35 – What commandments are for: objective vs man-made standards 13:10 – Example: Sabbath—few instructions vs hundreds of rules 14:35 – Can God’s commandments be kept? Gospel Of Luke Episode 12 | Monte Judah | 2025
2026/01/08
Shalom everyone—welcome back to our study of the Gospel of Luke with Monte Judah of Lion and Lamb Ministries. In this episode we finish the final paragraphs of Luke 10 with the introduction of Mary and Martha in Bethany (“the house of the poor”), a place where Yeshua would frequently stay as He traveled to Jerusalem. Martha is busy with necessary preparations, but Mary is seated at the Lord’s feet listening—prompting Yeshua’s practical correction: many things can distract us, but only one thing is necessary, and it must not be taken away. We then move into Luke 11, where the disciples ask, “Lord, teach us to pray.” Yeshua gives a concise model of prayer—directed to the Father—and then teaches what faith looks like when needs arise: ask, seek, and knock. The Father is not distant or reluctant; He gives good gifts to His children, and He responds when His people come to Him first. The episode continues with spiritual conflict and controversy after a demon is cast out. Yeshua explains why a kingdom divided cannot stand, warns about what happens when an unclean spirit returns to an “empty house,” and refocuses the crowd’s attention away from misplaced praise and back to the real blessing: hearing the Word of God and doing it. Finally, Yeshua addresses the demand for signs with a sobering answer: this generation will receive only the Sign of Jonah—a teaching that points to the resurrection, the central sign that validates the promise of forgiveness and eternal life. 📖 Passage Focus: Luke 10:38–42; Luke 11:1–36 🕎 Themes: Spiritual Priorities • Prayer • Faith • Spiritual Warfare • Resurrection 📺 Watch more teachings and episodes on: LionandLamb.tv 0:00 – Welcome: conversations with the Messiah in Luke 1:30 – Luke 10:38–42 read: Mary & Martha introduced 3:10 – Bethany context: “house of the poor” + travel to Jerusalem 4:40 – Lesson: spiritual priorities (“only one thing is necessary”) 6:10 – Daily application: quiet time & devotions first 8:00 – Transition into Luke 11 8:25 – “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1–4) 10:00 – Prayer directed to the Father; Messiah as advocate 11:10 – Parable: friend at midnight (Luke 11:5–8) 13:00 – Ask, seek, knock (Luke 11:9–13) 14:40 – The Father gives good gifts / Holy Spirit 16:10 – Casting out a mute demon + accusations (Luke 11:14–23) 18:20 – Warning: unclean spirit returns (Luke 11:24–26) 20:00 – Correction: blessing is obedience, not misplaced praise (Luke 11:27–28) 21:45 – The Sign of Jonah (Luke 11:29–32) 24:10 – Lamp of the body: light vs darkness (Luke 11:33–36) 26:00 – Closing emphasis: resurrection & eternal life 27:30 – End-of-year partnership message (optional)
