Hanging out with Cody Christian, an actor and musician who shot to fame on Pretty Little Liars, then leaped even further with Teen Wolf and All American. I do a deep dive with Brian Austin Green, aka David Silver on Beverly Hills 90210 (also from Knots Landing, like my recent guest Donna Mills!), and I call him out on some of his theories (and validate others!) because I'm a therapist so I'm not just going to nod my head and say, "mmm hmmm." Actor extraordinaire Tony Shalhoub gets some free therapy(ish) from me. Plus, we have lots of laughs and you will too. When we get into it, which we do, Tony opens up and reveals how he got through his mental health struggles and came out stronger and healthier than ever. Yes, we talk Big Night, Wings, Monk and the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel too. And friends, OF COURSE we discuss Tim Daly, my most frequent podcast guest, and my more recent Wings star, Steven Weber. Good, good stuff. I just wish we didn't accidentally end up doing this on Zoom (I explain in the intro). The Adam Ruins Everything creator and stand-up comic presents me with a big apology. Then we get personal. Stand-up comic and creator of the TV series Adam Ruins Everything Adam Conover makes a grand gesture and sincere apology for something we did years ago. We dive into what happened the first time we filmed—and I later scrapped—a podcast because of Adam's attitude. We rehash the situation, Adam apologizes, I use her therapist POV to analyze what drives Adam, we dish on other guests we've each had on our shows, and Adam opens up about his recent breakup, therapy, ADD, shame and more.  Watch the Video! This is a big, huge, revealing talk with Chris Noth. Chris is an actor. He played Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Peter Florrick on The Good Wife, and William Bishop on The Equalizer. He was nominated for Golden Globe awards for Sex and the City and for The Good Wife. He's best known as Mr. Big in the HBO series Sex and the City, the Sex and the City movies that came later, and (spoiler alert) one episode of the follow-up series And Just Like That. Mr. Big, of course, was the, well, let's just call him the somewhat unattainable love interest of the main character, Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker. In case you're not aware, there's been a lot of, I guess we can call it, drama, surrounding Sex & the City. There have been rumors of tension between SJP and Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha, and there's been a bunch of criticism surrounding some of the characters and plotlines in the original series and the reboot, And Just Like That. But the biggest drama is surrounding Chris Noth. In 2021, there were several sexual assault allegations against Chris published in THR and The Daily Beast. He was never criminally charged and said at the time that it wasn't true, but there was an immediate impact. He was written off The Equalizer, for starters. Soon after, Sarah Jessica Parker and her SATC castmates, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, put out a public statement about the situation. I read it to you so you know exactly what we're talking about when Chris and I get into this. OK, so. After that, his lawyers told him to not say anything. So he stopped talking publicly. Behind the scenes, a lot more was going on. And you're about to hear about all of it.
