Been wanting to get this one in for a while. I liked the first Smile a lot, Chris not as much. I kept hearing how good this movie was and how it was a rare sequel that just may be better than the original, so there may be chance that Chis will jump on the Smile train with me! Just had to be over two hours though huh?... We are not responsible for any head explosions caused by the Silver Shamrock jingle...That we definitely played at least five times during this episode! I know a little bit about being an outcast, the Black sheep of a bunch, so I have some sympathy for Halloween III. Hell, PJ and I didn't even care much for the second movie, so can this really be as bad as Rotten Tomatoes and Imdb would have you believe? It's time to get that Halloween Hustle on again and i'm so happy I finally have a reason to crack open my brand new, shiny, steel book, 4K edition of this film! This was a staple of the 90's, early 2000's, flipping through HBO and Cinemax days. It's been years since i've seen it though and it's a first time watch in full for Chris, so lets see if this movie has the sauce. BBQ Sauce that is! Just listen and you'll get that joke. Oh yeah, you read that right. Anita and I are now officially...Official. The families have come together, vows were said and rings were exchanged. A time was definitely had and we even found a few hours to record something for the occasion. Chris, PJ, Anita, Cameron, Andrew and I, had some drinks, some smokes and just had a long conversation about the wedding and whatever else came up. TOP THAT! Sorry for the delay on the audio! Before I got married, I had the urge to get back to the Big G and the next movie up to bat was King Kong vs Godzilla. Thanks to The Criterion Collection, we were able to watch the original version of the film and not the chopped up American version. I did skim through that version to see what was up and yeah... You aren't missing much. Actually, you're missing a lot but i'll tell you all about it and Chris will tell you his thoughts on every DreamWorks animated film, in order! Chris talked this up last week and I had to bring it back and see if it still hits as good as it did for me in the 90's! I loved this movie growing up, felt like Toy Story EXTREME! As an angry, nihilistic youth, it was right up my alley. I'm a little bit more calm now and a lot older, so I wonder if now I can see what all the reviewers saw back when it came out. Nah, probably not. It's likely still hype. Mom sent in a Patreon pick this week and I actually have never seen this one. I just always felt the pairing of Sydney Poitier and Bill Cosby would be weird and it just never caught my interest. I was just so used to Poitier being super serious and slapping racists and used to Cosby being...Well, Cosby. Time to check a film off the list though and see if I was wrong! DRAGON, DRAGON! ROCK THE DRAGON! Wait, wrong show. Yes Hustlers, there was a live action Dragon Ball film before the 2009 one! This came out in 1991 and did not have the full rights to the manga, so instead of Goku, we have "Monkey Boy!" Chris is a big anime fan, so i'm looking to him for help through this. Oh and PJ is here with us this week too! I had lots of questions for him. Been too long since we watched a Chow Yun Fat joint and this one has just been sitting in my "TBW" pile for too long. Chris and I have never seen it but i've always heard this compared to Reservoir Dogs and that was one of my favorite movies growing up, so i'm hoping this could be as good. Not having to hear a bunch of white dudes the N-Word 20 times will help from the jump. Well, our Patron "Nick the Dot Dot Dot" wanted us to watch what I assumed was just a Top Gun knockoff. While it kinda is, it's not as much as I expected. Neither of us have seen it and Chris has not even heard of it, so can we get down with this piece of American propaganda? Also, were The Odyssey and the new Spider-Man joints any good? Come find out with us! Man, why do I have such a taste for fava beans all of a sudden? I've never even had them before! Chris has somehow never seen this film and since the Criterion sale was going on and I just happened to grab a copy of this (and many other movies, my wallet hates me) I figured, why not bust his Hannibal cherry and talk about a certified classic film! We'll see how he likes it. Anita has me watching a Disney movie again for the first time in a while and i don't know why but these movies almost make for some of the most fun episodes. You know i'm talking smack, for sure. Maybe that's what it is but on the real, maybe this can be one of the few Disney movies to get over a 5/10 from me. We close out the Mexico trilogy this week and I wonder if watching this now at my bigger age and using my HVH eyes, i'll see it differently. I was disappointed by it back in the day as a sequel to Desperado but still enjoyed it as an action film. I think we can classify this as a "Family Fundamental" as well because we grew up watching this and laughing at old guys being shotgun blasted off screen. We were a different family... Now there is a film title for that ass! Our Uncle Michael has contributed to the show once again with another film he sent us. I had heard of this but never seen one second of it. I expected something along the lines of the old Peter Jackson movies and I, kinda got that? It's a wild ride for sure. Get it? Wild Ride...Motorcycles? I'll go. This is all Brendan's fault, had both Chris and I asking, "What was he thinking?!" ...Get it? This a fourth watch for me but the first for poor Christopher. We just experienced "Things" and if you listen to the episode, you wont have to. Be warned...
