Darren played 89 first grade games for the Newcastle Knights being part of premiership winning teams of 1997 and 2001. He moved to St Helens for 4 seasons playing 118 games, winning a grand final in 2002 and a Challenge Cup final in 2004. Darren finished his career with the Cronulla Sharks in 2005.
