All Saints' Day Grieving with Hope | Alex Gallien
2026/11/02
All Saints' Day: Grieving with Hope
What do we do with grief when we believe in the resurrection? In this message, we close out our year-long theme of "Remember" by observing All Saints Day, a tradition Christians have kept for centuries to remember those who have died in Christ and to celebrate the hope we share with them.
We look at where All Saints' Day came from: early believers gathered every year on the anniversary of a martyr's death to share stories, pray, worship, and share a meal, refusing to let death have the final word. We also take on some of the hardest questions grief raises. Why do terrible things happen to people who love God? If God is good, why does He allow suffering?
In this message:
• Why Christians still grieve, but not "like the rest of mankind, who have no hope" (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)
• "Jesus wept": what Jesus' tears at Lazarus' tomb show us about the heart of God (John 11:35)
• Why sin, not God, gets the credit for death, and what Romans 8:28 really says (and doesn't)
• Why phrases like "God needed another angel" or "everything happens for a reason" can do more harm than good
• "Blessed are those who mourn": how God moves closer to grieving people (Matthew 5:4)
• Why great faith means bringing our tears, questions, and even anger to God, like Abraham, Job, and the Psalms do
• The "great cloud of witnesses" and what it means to be part of the communion of saints (Hebrews 12:1-3)
• The promise that one day God will wipe every tear from our eyes (Revelation 21:4)
Grief is one of the ways love responds to loss. Christianity doesn't take grief out of our lives, but it gives us reason to believe grief does not get the final word. If you're carrying loss of any kind, whether it's a loved one, a marriage, a diagnosis, or a dream, we pray this message reminds you that you are not alone and that you can grieve with hope.
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 | John 11:35 | Genesis 2:16-17 | Romans 5 | Romans 8:28 | Revelation 21:4 | Matthew 5:4 | Genesis 23 | Hebrews 12:1-3

The Gift Of Sex | Alex Gallien | "It's Complicated" Part 6
2026/10/28
What if the Church has made something God called GOOD feel shameful? In the final week of this series, we’re talking about The Gift of Sex and what the Bible teaches about healthy, God-honoring intimacy within marriage.
From the very beginning, God designed sex to be more than just physical. It’s a gift meant to be enjoyed within the covenant of marriage, marked by mutual love, attraction, connection, and delight. So why do so many couples struggle to experience the intimacy God intended?
In this message, we explore three keys to a healthier marriage and a more meaningful intimate life: communication, intentionality, and patience. We’ll talk about the importance of honest conversations, pursuing one another beyond the bedroom, keeping intimacy a priority, and extending grace when marriage gets difficult.
Whether you’re newly married or have been together for decades, this message is a reminder that a healthy marriage takes intentional effort, selflessness, and a willingness to keep growing together. God’s design for marriage isn’t about one person getting what they want; it’s about two people learning to love, serve, and delight in one another.
Watch The Gift of Sex and discover how biblical wisdom can help you build a stronger marriage, deepen your connection, and embrace God’s design for intimacy.

The Purity Problem | Alex Gallien | "It's Complicated" Part 5
2026/10/28
What does it mean to pursue purity in a culture that often sends us a completely different message about sex, relationships, and identity?
In Week 5 of our It's Complicated series, we’re tackling The Purity Problem and exploring God’s design for sex, intimacy, and relationships. From the messages we receive growing up to the influence of pornography and modern culture, it’s easy to develop unhealthy perspectives about sex, shame, and our own worth.
But what if purity isn’t about shame, fear, or trying to prove ourselves to God? What if God’s boundaries are actually an invitation to experience the beauty of His design? Through Scripture, we’re reminded that sex is a gift from God, created with purpose and intended for the right time and within the right covenant. We also discover that our past does not define us, our struggles do not disqualify us, and God’s grace offers forgiveness, healing, and a fresh start.
Whether you’re navigating relationships, wrestling with past decisions, or trying to understand God’s perspective on purity, this message is an invitation to move beyond shame and pursue the freedom, wholeness, and life God desires for you.
Scripture References: Genesis 2:24, 1 Corinthians 6:18–20, 1 John 1:9, and 1 Peter 2:9.

Fighting Fair (Rules for Arguing) | Alex Gallien | “It's Complicated” Part 4
2026/10/28
Conflict is a normal part of relationships, but how we handle it can make all the difference. In Week 4 of our It’s Complicated series, we’re talking about something every dating and married couple needs to learn: how to navigate conflict in a healthy way.
When two imperfect people with different personalities, preferences, and upbringings try to build a life together, disagreements are inevitable. But conflict isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes, it means two people still care enough to engage, communicate, and work toward understanding.
In this message, we explore three essential habits for healthier communication: stop expecting people to read your mind, practice vulnerability, and learn to listen without becoming defensive. Through biblical wisdom and practical examples, discover how to communicate more honestly, approach disagreements with humility, and build stronger, healthier relationships.
Whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or simply looking to improve the way you communicate with the people you love, this message will help you learn how to fight fair and navigate conflict with greater wisdom and grace.

Marriage Is Death | Alex Gallien | "It's Complicated" Part 3
2026/10/28
What if a healthy marriage isn’t about finding someone who makes your life easier—but becoming someone who is willing to lay down their life for another?
In this message, we take a look at God’s original design for relationships and marriage, beginning in Genesis and tracing the purpose, beauty, and responsibility that comes with becoming one. Marriage was never meant to simply be about romance, happiness, or getting our needs met. It requires us to confront our selfishness, surrender our independence, practice forgiveness, communicate honestly, and continually choose love.
The world has plenty to say about what marriage should look like. But what happens when we go back to what God actually said?
Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, married, divorced, or widowed, this message challenges all of us to rethink relationships through the lens of Scripture—and to ask what it really means to love someone like Jesus.
“Marriage is death” isn’t about losing yourself. It’s about dying to your own way so that something greater can be built.

Building On The Right Foundation | Elle Koelling | "Red Letter Summer" Pt. 12
2026/08/31
What are you building your life on?
In this message, “Building on the Right Foundation,” we look at Jesus’ parable of the wise and foolish builders in Matthew 7:24–29. Both builders heard the words of Jesus. Both faced the storm. But only one house stood firm.
The difference wasn’t the storm—it was the foundation.
Jesus calls us to do more than simply hear His words. He calls us to know Him, obey Him, spend time in His Word and prayer, and surround ourselves with godly community. When we build our lives on success, approval, possessions, relationships, comfort, or anything other than Christ, we’re building on sand. But when Jesus becomes the foundation and cornerstone of our lives, we can stand firm through every storm.
The foundation you lay today determines the kind of house you have tomorrow.
Take a moment to ask yourself: What am I building my life on?

Raising Hell (I’m Angry) | Alex Gallien | "Red Letter Summer" Pt. 11
2026/08/23
In this message, “Raising Hell (I’m Angry),” we dive into one of the most destructive emotions we all experience: anger.
After spending the past several weeks talking about mercy and forgiveness, this message looks at what Jesus teaches us to do with our anger—and what can happen when we allow anger to live within us unchecked.
In Matthew 5:21–22, Jesus takes the conversation beyond simply avoiding murder and challenges us to look deeper at what happens in our hearts. Anger, resentment, bitterness, and the ways we treat people can reveal something much deeper going on inside of us.
This message challenges us to recognize the ways anger can show up in our lives, understand the damage it can cause, and begin taking steps toward freedom from it. Following Jesus isn't just about changing our outward behavior—it's about allowing Him to transform what is happening in our hearts.
If you've ever struggled with anger, resentment, unforgiveness, or the desire to get even, this message is for you.

When Mercy Gets Messy | Alex Gallien | "Red Letter Summer Pt. 10
2026/08/16
What does forgiveness really look like when the hurt is deep, the consequences are real, and reconciliation isn’t always possible?
In this message, “When Mercy Gets Messy,” we continue through Jesus’ teachings in the Red Letter Summer series by looking at His powerful words in Matthew 18:21–35. Through the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, Jesus challenges us to recognize that the mercy we have received from God is meant to flow through us to others.
Forgiveness isn’t always easy or immediate. Sometimes it’s a long, painful process that requires us to repeatedly choose freedom over bitterness. But Jesus shows us that unresolved bitterness can become a self-inflicted prison—and that lasting freedom is found not only in receiving forgiveness, but also in extending it.
This message also explores what forgiveness does not mean. Forgiving someone doesn’t mean forgetting what happened, removing consequences, or automatically restoring a relationship. Mercy and justice can coexist, and forgiveness doesn’t require reconciliation in every situation.
Ultimately, we forgive because we have been forgiven. The cross of Jesus is the greatest picture of radical, undeserved mercy, and as we remember what Christ has forgiven us, we are empowered to extend that same mercy to others.
Whether you’re carrying anger toward someone who hurt you, struggling to forgive yourself, or simply trying to understand what biblical forgiveness looks like, this message is an invitation to begin the journey toward freedom.
“Father, forgive them. Father, I forgive them. In the same way You forgive me.”

Mercy People | Alex Gallien | "Red Letter Summer" Part 9
2026/08/09
What does it look like to become people who are truly full of mercy?
In this message from Week 9 of our RLS series, we continue looking at the words and teachings of Jesus through the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15. While the younger brother’s return home beautifully displays the Father’s mercy, Jesus also draws our attention to the older brother someone who struggled to celebrate the mercy being shown to someone he believed didn’t deserve it.
This message challenges us to examine our own hearts. Are we willing to extend the same mercy we have received from God? What happens when we harbor grudges, keep score of other people’s failures, or allow our own sense of righteousness to become more important than compassion?
Jesus calls His people to something deeper: we should be scandalously full of mercy. Not simply toward people who have earned it, apologized, or made everything right, but reflecting the kind of mercy God has shown us.
And as a special celebration at the end of our gathering, we witnessed something beautiful: Jeff and Lynn were married! After years of walking with God, growing in their faith, and experiencing His transforming mercy, they chose to enter into a covenant marriage surrounded by the people who have walked alongside them.
Their wedding served as a powerful picture of the very truths we had been talking about God's transforming grace, covenant faithfulness, sacrificial love, forgiveness, and the way our lives can become a reflection of God's character.
As we follow Jesus, the question isn't only “Have I received God's mercy?” but also “Am I becoming a merciful person?”
