Hwanging Out With Luizers | Planet FPL S. 7 Ep. 38 | GW26 Review | Fantasy Premier League
2024/02/26
James returns from his hiatus to join Suj for the Review of the Blank Gameweek 26 weekend that featured a major gamble on Wolves offensive players and particularly Hwang Hee-Chan, who blanked while differential and alternative Aston Villa players in Douglas Luiz and Leon Bailey went off. All the games discussed including Pep's wild set up in victory at Bournemouth, Arsenal's dismantling of a woeful Newcastle and Manchester United's good run coming to an abrupt halt by an outstanding and Fulham-less Joao Palhinha. Plus, there's notes on the team who blanked this weekend, the 3 type of FPL managers in relation to Dominic Solanke ownership, captaincy for the weekend ahead and the importance of the midweek FA Cup games and why the surprises could lead to big changes in Chip Strategy. Ask Suj & Clayts | Friday February 23rd | Planet FPL 2023/24
2024/02/23
James usually does a live stream most Friday's, but in his absence, Suj and Clayton stepped up (with a fire album cover photo - check Twitter), and in the world where everything revolves around Fantasy Premier League - Suj specifically asked for NO FPL questions. A variety of weird and wonderful topics, ranging from deep amateur philosophy, to what animals the two could fight, who at Planet FPL would win a Royal Rumble, Suj's jiu-jitsu & Clayton's Salsa Dancing and, a Suj rant, about one of the questions... all of this and more! 2024/02/22
With James yellow flagged, Suj takes the lead and is joined by Clayton to discuss the remaining fixtures from GW25 in the Premier League and look ahead to blank GW26 and beyond. 1.3 million FPL managers Triple Captained Erling Haaland who returned against Brentford after a blank against Chelsea, and there's an argument that he could have had even more. With the FA Cup on the horizon, this is a pivotal moment that will be a domino effect on people's chip strategies, and the two spent some time discussing this. Suj explains his plans for the upcoming week and beyond and Clayton is now up into the top 25,000 after another successful week. Pack of Wolves | Planet SkyFF S.5 Ep.33 | Sky Fantasy Football
2024/02/21
On the Sky Fantasy Football Podcast Suj is joined by Gary Robinson to discuss the fallout from the weekend results, including modest returns for Halaand, the return of the Egyptian King Salah, and planning for the Wolves v Sheffield United and West Ham v Brentford single game day coming up. We look at whether it's still time to invest in Liverpool with their injuries, and when it might be time to get stuck in to Bournemouth too. Today on Patreon: Ham&Ars - is Clayton nice to Suj just a few weeks after the 6-0 drubbing ARsenal gave to West Ham? Man Utd v Fulham | CotC with Gary Robinson & Dara Curran | Planet FPL 2023/24
2024/02/20
On Clash of the Correspondents is James is joined by Manchester United fan Gary Robinson and Fulham fan Dara Curran to discuss the latest at their clubs ahead of Saturday's Blank Gameweek 26 meeting between the clubs at Old Trafford. It's 4 wins on the spin for United in the Premier League including 3 hard fought away victories and they are back in contention for Champions League qualification. But are they actually convincing anyone that they've truly turned the corner? Are Fulham truly safe from overlooking their shoulder? They should be, but their away form is terrible and have tough home fixtures to come and will have to cope for the next 2 games without the instrumental Joao Palhinha who is suspended. Plus, there's discussion on the best FPL assets from above. Rasmus Hojlund is in great goalscoring form while enabling Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz is also on a streak. But can FPL managers find a way to fit either forward in? There's also discussion on the keepers who are among the highest scoring in FPL this season, best defensive assets from above and if any of the differential midfield options can be considered including an ever improving Alejandro Garnacho. And somehow, this Podcast survives two power cuts to reach a conclusion. Double Trouble Triple Drivel | Planet FPL S. 7 Ep. 36 | GW25 Review | Fantasy Premier League
2024/02/19
James is joined by Clayton to discuss the weekend football in the Premier League and for those who went heavy on Double Gameweek players it's not been hugely successful so far with many blanking and even those who did return may now be injured and that could include one of the few players with a Double who did really well, substitute and returning talisman Mo Salah. And so far it's disappointment for 1.3 million FPL managers who Triple Captained Erling Haaland who blanked despite having 9 shots in Manchester City's 1-1 draw with Chelsea. To and to the misery of some, popular players who may have been sacrificed for Doublers returned well including Bukayo Saka, Dominic Solanke and Ollie Watkins. James explains what prompted his decision to buy Saka back for a successful -4 despite selling only last week and Clayton is now up into the top 30,000 after another successful weekend. All 9 games covered including tactical notes from the 6 games the lads watched live, why 4 teams who won away this weekend may all be on radar heading into the forthcoming blank gameweek and lots more... Ask James | Friday February 16th | Planet FPL 2023/24
2024/02/16
Mo Salah is back in full training for Liverpool ahead of their Double Gameweek but should he be forced back in immediately for FPL managers? On James' live stream there's a heavy focus on the upcoming double, but which Brentford, Liverpool, Luton or Manchester City assets are worth getting? And how does that impact on the upcoming blanks of Gameweeks 26 & 29? For James it's now likely two transfers for a -4 and that is likely to be for two players that DON'T have a double and could it include the player that was regrettably sold last week!? Plus best replacements for Trent Alexander-Arnold, benching headaches, Triple Captaincy chat and more. Planning For BGW29 | The People's Poll ep. 139 | Planet FPL 2023/24
2024/02/15
James is joined by Clayton to explore the best ways of planning towards Gameweek 29 without the use of the Free Hit Chip over the 5 weeks ahead which includes an updated explainer of what we know for the Blank over FA Cup Quarter Final weekend and what is projected to be added. There's a week by week and step by step guide of which teams to target and sell and when on the pathway to GW29, when we'll get confirmation of what GW29 will look like, how we can plan for that event before we know it, which includes pairing teams such as Luton and Manchester United. There's coverage of all 20 teams, awareness of value during a planned course of making transfers, why buying Ivan Toney now looks great but may cause a headache, whether a Wildcard would be required straight after the Blank for those heading towards 29, if hits should be taken going into a Blank and lots more. Skip? Invest? Chain on to the next single gamedays? There's a detailed look at the best (and worst) Everton and Palace assets for Monday. Plus, should Cole Palmer be sold because of upcoming gains? Is now the time to activate the Triple Captain chip on Erling Haaland? Should those without Kevin De Bruyne force him in? Even if it takes multiple hits to do so? Plus, best defensive asset from each club discussed, there's discussion on the goalkeepers, enabling midfielders and expectations now for Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden. Sakable Offence | Planet FPL S. 7 Ep. 35 | GW24 Review | Fantasy Premier League
2024/02/12
Suj and James review the 9 weekend games played in GW24 and for both Arsenal's 6-0 victory against West Ham meant it was a bad FPL week as Gunners assets returned well with Gabriel benched and in James' case Bukayo Saka sold! But it was of course it was Suj's team that suffered a record home league defeat. Captaining Erling Haaland at least brought some relief, but City did struggle to break down a resolute Everton. City assets are obviously on radar as are those who also double at Brentford, Liverpool and Luton and final decisions ahead of the double may well be impacted by the status of Trent Alexander-Arnold's fitness. There's tactical insight into Arsenal's stunning victory, Kieran Trippier's role change for Newcastle at Forest that freed up Bruno Guimaraes, how Brighton's man to man game at Tottenham had success but ultimately cost them the game in which a returning player from International duty hugely impressed James. Plus, conversation on all the games including Manchester United's crucial win at Aston Villa and Sheffield United's surprise victory at Luton, planning towards GW29, managing GW26 and lots more... Ask James | Fri February 9th | Planet FPL 2023/24
2024/02/09
On James' live stream this afternoon lots of attentions on players who double this week with Liverpool, Luton and Manchester City players heavily focused on and there's also a lot of talk on strategy following Chelsea's excellent win at Aston Villa that will have thrown some FPL managers off course. There's talk on whether a bench boost in GW25 can be right, the difficulty in projecting double gameweeks in 34 and 37 and why though many will frown upon the idea of Free Hitting in GW29 it'll be the right solution for others.
