Episode 307: UTSA seeks to build off a close road win over Rice
2026/10/06
Rice's defense shut out UTSA in the second half in Houston, but 16 points were enough for the Roadrunners to get out to a 1-0 record in conference play. The offense struggled, but UTSA's defensive front really impressed. Next up is a 4-1 USF team who has struggled to put bad teams away despite a $20M roster. Are the Bulls due for a break out, or can UTSA lean on Alamodome magic to continue their hot start to 2026?

Episode 306: UTSA starts conference play with a 3-1 record
2026/09/30
Colorado State got off to an extremely quick 14-0 lead over UTSA, but the Roadrunners hardly flinched, using a 35 point run to defeat the Rams 59-45 in the highest scoring game in program history. Jeff Traylor's squad seems well positioned to make a run at the conference title this year, starting with the Rice Owls in Houston.

Episode 305: UTSA's Defense Has a Day Against Texas
2026/09/23
The Roadrunners' defense showed up in a big way under the bright lights in Austin, frustrating Arch Manning and the #1 Longhorns with a stingy secondary. While Owen McCown and the offense couldn't click into gear, UTSA fans have to be feeling good about their chances this year coming out of this contest. Up next is a home match-up against a CSU team who may have just lost their starting quarterback. Can UTSA capitalize?

Episode 304: Triangle magic returns as UTSA regains control of the I-35 rivalry
2026/09/17
Owen McCown and the UTSA Roadrunners put the past behind them as they went on the road and secured a major victory for the program, coming from behind to defeat the Texas State Bobcats in San Marcos with a clutch game-ending drive. Unfortunately the Roadrunners will have a difficult time turning that inspiring win into sustainable momentum as they'll face the #1 team in the nation this week. We preview the Texas Longhorns with an assist from our old friend Eric Henry, and discuss whether playing this series still makes sense in 2026.

2026/07/31

Dan and Rylan react to the landing spots of the Roadrunners who moved on to the next level, and discuss how UTSA will need to overcome a lack of returning production on the mound to enjoy a successful continuation of the program's success.

ABB: UTSA Baseball 2026 Season Wrap Up with Jordy Fee-Platt
2026/07/06
UTSA Baseball broadcast voice Jordy Fee-Platt makes his Around the Bird Bath debut to help us wrap up another highly successful season for the Roadrunners. While UTSA fell just short of repeat NCAA tournament appearances, the Roadrunners overcame a critical injury in the first inning of the season to clinch a regular season championship. We reflect on the season and look ahead to 2027 as UTSA navigates the transfer portal.

ABB: UTSA's season ends with a tournament championship loss
2026/05/26
The tournament's #1 seed following their regular season championship, UTSA relied on their pitching staff on the way to the tournament finale, but ECU's Ethan Norby blew through the UTSA lineup to put an end to their season. There's a lot to unpack, including the Roadrunners' performance in the tournament, not receiving an at-large bid, and what the program will need to get back to the NCAA tournament next season.

ABB: UTSA wins a share of the American regular season title
2026/05/19
For the second straight season, the Roadrunners are regular season champions. While UTSA had a very lack luster performance, winning just one game against UAB was enough to hand them the first overall seed and a share of the regular season title. Dan and Rylan recap the series and preview the conference tournament, as an at large bid looks to be increasingly difficult to attain.
