Asleep in the Storm
2026/10/20
In "Asleep in the Storm," Pastor Joshua preaches Luke 8:22-25 alongside the witness of Paul Schneider, the German pastor who preached this same text weeks before his arrest and martyrdom in a Nazi camp, to show that the church has always faced the question of what to do when the storm comes and Christ seems asleep. The sermon turns on the opening line, "He got into a boat with his disciples," insisting that the presence of Jesus is what determines whether the boat is truly in danger, and that the storm's purpose is not to sink us but to reveal the character and trustworthiness of Christ. Jesus' question, "Where is your faith?", is read not as condemnation but as conviction: he questioned the disciples' fear, not their cry for help, and calls us to awaken Christ within us out of confidence, not panic. From believing God is good to knowing God is good, this is a word for anyone who feels sent into the deep with Jesus asleep in the stern.
The Illogical Kingdom of God
2026/10/12
This week Pastor Joshua preaches "The Illogical Kingdom of God" from Luke 5:1-11. We tend to live by a logic built on fear, hoarding what little we have because we are convinced there will never be enough, but Jesus shatters that logic when he sends tired fishermen into the deep at the worst possible hour and fills their nets until they break. If you are afraid, tired, or running on empty, this message invites you to look into the eyes of the One who goes with you into the place you fear and discover what he can do with what little you are willing to give him.
Incarnational Gospel
2026/10/05
Incarnational Gospel: the good news that God did not just visit humanity; he joined himself to it forever, so you are never alone in your struggle. In this sermon, Pastor Joshua Brown preaches from Ephesians 2 and Isaiah 49 that Jesus became human so that, joined to him, you share in his victory. If Christ is one with you, then your life is his life, and because Christ cannot fail, hope is undeniable.
Embodied Liberation
2026/09/21
This week, Pastor Joshua Brown unpacks Isaiah 48 and Acts 13 to show that the gospel is a proclamation that Christ has already won, and the only question left is whether you'll actually live like it.
Isaiah 45: Clay in the Hands of the Potter
2026/09/14
What if your life isn't something you're building, but something you're discovering? This week, Pastor Joshua Brown unpacks Isaiah 45 to show that you are clay in the hands of a potter who already knows what you're becoming, and that the whole purpose of prayer isn't talking at God but learning to hear the story he's been writing in and through you all along. If your faith has grown routine or your prayers have gone quiet, this message invites you back to the most important practice of your life.
The Cost of Participation
2026/09/08
Salvation is free, but discipleship will cost you everything you've grown comfortable holding onto. This week, Pastor Joshua Brown unpacks Philippians 3 and Isaiah 44 to show that Christ's finished work invites a completely different way of living, and the only question left is what you'll do with what he's already done. If you've been sitting in Babylon because it's comfortable, this message is calling you back.
A High View of Church pt. 2
2026/08/24
What if the restlessness, anxiety, and emptiness you feel is a flame that's gone out? This week, Pastor Joshua Brown unpacks 1 Peter 2 to show that the Church is a holy priesthood called to tend the fire of God's presence together, and that the only cure for a life spent trying to ignite your own flame is returning to the warmth of the one that was never yours to produce in the first place.
A High View of Church
2026/08/17
What if the reason so many Christians feel lost, burned out, and without identity is not a personal problem but an ecclesiological one? This week, Pastor Joshua Brown makes a case for recovering a high view of the Church, showing that the gospel was always about US participating together in the expanding kingdom of God. If you've ever wondered whether church really matters, this message will change the way you see it.
Isaiah 43: Redefining Home
2026/08/10
What if the home you've always longed for isn't a place at all? This week, Pastor Joshua Brown unpacks Isaiah 43 to show that when God promised to bring his exiled people home, he wasn't just talking about a land or a building; he was talking about the only place the soul ever truly rests, the kingdom of God.
Isaiah 42: The Justice of God
2026/08/04
What if the judgment of God was never the threat you were told it was? This week, Pastor Joshua Brown unpacks Isaiah 42 to show that God's judgment over his creation was declared in Genesis 1, and the verdict was "very good," which means his justice was never aimed at you; it was aimed at everything keeping you from that original design. If you've spent your life fearing a God who condemns, this message will reintroduce you to the God who redeems.
Isaiah 40: Reading the Signs
2026/07/27
What if the chaos, decline, and spiritual emptiness you see all around you in 2026 are not signs that God has forgotten us, but signs that he is about to do something new? This week, Pastor Joshua Brown opens a brand new series in Isaiah to show that God's people have always been called to read the signs of the times, and that the church's greatest witness is a community who can smell the rain coming before anyone else even checks the forecast.
The Book of Job
2026/07/20
What do you do when your theology stops working? This week, Pastor Joshua Brown opens the book of Job to show that suffering doesn't mean God has abandoned you or that you've done something wrong, it means you've been invited into a deeper, more honest encounter with a God who is far bigger than the comfortable clichés we've built around him. If you're in a season where the old answers aren't cutting it anymore, this message is exactly where you need to start.
Sustaining Advent
2026/07/13
It's July, but Pastor Joshua Brown is asking a question: are you still living Advent? This week at Dream Church, he unpacks what it means to be a people perpetually preparing for the coming of Christ, living like watchmen who can see the morning while it's still night, and why the answer to the anxiety, restlessness, and emptiness of our age isn't a better program or a more entertaining Sunday, it's Jesus.
The Binding of Isaac
2026/07/06
What do you do when God asks you to hand over the very thing he promised you? This week, Pastor Joshua Brown unpacks Genesis 22 to show that the binding of Isaac was never really about sacrifice, it was about trust, and that the God who asks you to open your hands is the same God who already has a ram in the thicket. If you've been holding tightly to a promise while wondering if God can be trusted with it, this message will change the way you see what he's actually asking for.
The Fiery Furnace
2026/07/01
Three men stood before a king, a furnace, and an impossible choice, and what they said next changed everything. This week, Pastor Joshua Brown unpacks Daniel 3 to show that the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego was never really about the fire, it was about the kind of faith that says "even if" instead of "only if," and the God who shows up in the middle of the flames. If you're facing something that feels like a furnace right now, this message is for you.
