What do you do when you’ve prayed, waited, trusted God—and the circumstances still haven’t changed? Habakkuk learned that faith doesn’t mean we always understand what God is doing. It means we trust who God is, even when we cannot understand His purposes.  In the final message of our Habakkuk series, “Praise God, No Matter What,” Pastor Roger Pettay teaches from Habakkuk 3:16–19 about Providential Trust—trusting God’s character when we cannot trace His hand. Though I don’t understand, yet I will trust. Though my heart hurts, yet I will worship.  Though my circumstances are uncertain, God is still my strength. What do you do when you don’t know what God is doing next? In Habakkuk 3:1–15, Pastor Roger Pettay leads us through Habakkuk’s transformation from questioning God to worshiping Him. His circumstances haven’t changed—Babylon is still coming and the future is still uncertain—but Habakkuk’s perspective has changed. Instead of focusing only on what lies ahead, Habakkuk looks back and remembers the faithfulness of God: His power, His provision, His deliverance, and His salvation. The lesson is simple but powerful: When you don’t know what God is doing next, remember what God has done before. And above everything else—remember Jesus. What do you do when God’s plan doesn’t make sense, His timing seems slow, and your circumstances haven’t changed? In Habakkuk 2, Pastor Roger Pettay takes us through God’s answer to Habakkuk and one of the great lessons of the Christian life: “The righteous shall live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4, ESV) Habakkuk learns to wait for God, trust God’s timing, live by faith, refuse to envy the apparent success of the wicked, and remember that God is still on His throne. Faith does not mean that we always understand what God is doing. It means we trust the God who does. The just shall trust. What do you do when you pray, but God seems silent? What happens when you know God is good, holy, and sovereign, yet what you see happening around you simply doesn’t make sense? In Habakkuk 1, the prophet wrestles honestly with God over the violence, injustice, and spiritual decline he sees around him. God answers—but not in the way Habakkuk expected. In this message, Pastor Roger Pettay, explores an important truth for every believer: God’s silence does not mean God is inactive. Even when we cannot understand what God is doing, we can hold on to what we know about who God is.  When you cannot see His hand, hold on to His character.
