Dawn: the first appearance of light in the sky before sunrise. As I envisioned my early start to the morning, I compiled this mix with a tracklist that would be that soundtrack. The first part of the mix starts off with a slew of Melodic / Light Organic House tracks while shifting energy at the 30 min. mark. The middle part brings a bit more energy with some groovy basslines and transitions at 45min with a uplifting track (timing to the first hints of light in the day). The last part shifts to some energetic progressive house tracks while winding down to a calm melodic outro. Hope you enjoy this early morning soundtrack. In spirit of the season, here is my soundtrack / mix to embrace an "almost back to normal" lifestyle: Summer With all my sets, I like to create a smooth ride from start to finish, with carefully chosen tracks (old & new) that work well together. As you get set to listen, there are calculated transitions that shift the mood and energy (similar to a warm-up set). To start off, I begin with a cool unreleased track by Baksta (soundcloud.com/bak-sta) which sets the tone and theme for the first 30 minutes (a melodic / light & airy organic house feel) At 33 min, you'll feel the energy transition with an "oh shit, what's this song" moment: An awesome track by Tim Green- Coriolis. (soundcloud.com/timgreen) At 47 min it darkens to a deeper, middle eastern theme with a few amazingly consistent tracks from Armen Miran (soundcloud.com/armenmiran). At 67 min, the calm before the storm :) A lovely 2022 Remix & Vocal (DM me for details) from the classic Agnes Obel - Fuel to Fire. (soundcloud.com/agnes-obel-1/fuel-to-fire-1) At 73 min it transitions to full-on progressive house with legends in this field (soundcloud.com/alexorion) and (soundcloud.com/cid-inc). At 84 min, get set for another "holy shit" moment with a sick baseline and epic Track by Simos Tagias- Euphoria (soundcloud.com/simos-tagia) *wait for the drop BPM's start at 118 and end at 121 to give that energy and progression. As always: feedback welcomed along with reposts / shares / and likes! Thanks so much for listening. Enjoy. Envision yourself walking outdoors one early morning on a dreary winter's day- cold crisp air / snow about to start falling and you’re off the grid (no cell phone / no wifi) Just you and your thoughts / absorbing the beauty that surrounds you. This is the mood I intended to bring through the Album Art and Music for my latest compilation. Here is that WINTER soundtrack: A Melodic / Organic / Deep House mix with 18 tracks varying between 120-122bpms. As we set to wrap up a crazy 2020 full of Coronavirus, Financial uncertainty, Isolation, etc.. It also marks that time of year which brings us closer to our friends and families. Those feelings of comfort, joy, and laughter during the Holidays will be different for most of us with the social distancing throughout the world. Let’s do our part, connect with those people in our immediate & lost circles, dive into more meaningful conversation, and prepare ourselves for a fresh new start in 2021. We all have extra time to be better people! Happy Holidays to all. Hope you enjoy the mix. When I first began mixing, I always gravitated towards a deeper / melodic sound while trying to always make sure that each track mixed perfectly together, creating a smooth journey throughout the compilation of songs. As I continue my mixes, I find that the same format and theme keeps repeating itself. Maybe it’s just my way of expressing my deeper thoughts and feelings through music. With that, I introduce a new mix series called: Introspect (Defined: to look into or examine one's own mind, feelings, etc.) This mix (as most of mine) starts with a calm / serene tone and gradually ascends for 60 minutes until reaching a nice plateau of steady progressive house ending with an upbeat punch. 100+ Minutes / 119bpms / a melodic / deep / progressive house set. Feedback always appreciated! Tracklist below. Enjoy :) Lost Desert- Fall of Innocence (Original Intro) Mariano Montori ft. During this downtime / hiatus.. I am reminded of how important health and the relationships between our loved ones are. Not having that human connection and personal interaction has been truly missed. As we get set to reopen here in Chicago, I am truly in grateful, appreciated, and excited for this Reopening. This mix is just that: An uplifting, energetic, and driving set of progressive house serving as that fresh start. The mix starts off bubbly and carefree and gets progressively stronger until a shift in mood at 50 minutes. There enters another reset and vibe similar to the beginning / a fresh start in “phase 2” of the set. In the end, I get darker and finish with a mellow track to close the mix. 118bpms / 100+ minutes / just enough to get you moving! As always, thanks for listening and comments / feedback is always welcome! Cheers.
