Living a Life of Influence
2026/09/20
Join us this Sunday as we hear from Camp Brazil (CCI) Directors, Marco & Claudia, as they share updates on the exciting things God is doing in Brazil as they reach thousands of kids with the Gospel. Marco will challenge us with a call to go and live sent - to live a life of influence and purpose for the sake of the Kingdom.
Did you know? WMBC began supporting Camp Brazil in 2020 and all our funds go directly to supporting four Brazilian churches and their kids ministries or projects. Two churches in Maranguape (Fadhia and Rosana), one in São Sebastião (Cláudia Nunes), and one in Pacajá (Pastor Junior). This October, Kellin Friesen and Pastor Terry will be going to Brazil to provide training and encouragement to church leaders to reach the next generation.
WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE AUDIO DIFFICULTIES, WE HAVE INCLUDED SUBTITLES FROM A TRANSCRIPT UP AND UNTIL THE AUDIO IS CONNECTED AGAIN TO THE LIVE FEED.
Nehemiah: A Beautiful Burden
2026/09/13
his Sunday we launch a new teaching series that is foundational to our vision goal for the year – Live Sent. A journey through Scripture where we discover how our unique personality, position, and passions, are exactly what God has planned for us to live a life that invites others to Jesus! Join us for Kickoff Sunday as we learn how to embrace God’s calling in our lives as we explore the story of Nehemiah and his calling to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
Pray Always
2026/09/06
“CBS News anchor Dan Rather interviewed Mother Teresa in the 1980s and asked her, “When you pray, what do you say to God?” “I don’t say anything,” she said. “I listen.” “Well, okay,” the veteran journalist tried again. “When God speaks to you, then, what does He say?” “He doesn’t say anything. He listens.” Mr. Rather was stumped this time. He had no follow-up question. Mother Teresa simply added, “And if you don’t understand that, I can’t explain it to you.” Let’s talk about what it means to pray always…
Pray First
2026/08/30
Have you ever felt out of your element before? Terrified, overwhelmed, unqualified? Isaiah 6 tells us about an encounter the prophet Isaiah had with the living God. Entering the throne room of heaven and God's presence revealed to Isaiah how unworthy and out of his element he was. Despite Isaiah's unworthiness, God invited Isaiah to go on a mission for him and to be his mouthpiece. We are the same way! Though we are unworthy, unqualified, mere humans, God still wants to know us and use us. This all starts with the humble business of prayer. Pray first to know God. Pray first to find out who you are. Pray first to find out what God wants of you.
Beyond the Gates
2026/08/23
What happens when the miracle you prayed for doesn’t come? Through the story of four men outside the gates and Krista’s own journey with suffering, we’ll explore how to move forward when life remains unfinished and discover the unexpected ways God may already be at work beyond what we can see.
My Way
2026/08/16
If you were to pick, what would you say the worst story in the Bible was? There are quite a few contenders. The flood is a pretty bad story; how about the fall, or maybe even the death of Christ? This week we're going to look at maybe the worst of them all and discover that my way isn't the best way.
Faithful Lament
2026/08/02
In seasons of darkness, it can be challenging to hold onto hope. Our faith can feel fragile and dimmed. Psalms 42 & 43 show us a way to lament faithfully. Lament allows us to express our deepest emotions to God and is a step on the journey out of darkness and into light.
The Way in the Wilderness
2026/07/26
Have you ever felt like you hit a dead end? You had task, a situation, or a relationship that you just couldn't overcome. What about an entire season of dead ends, doubt, insecurity you couldn't shake? This week we take a look at what God is doing when we come to the end of ourselves.
Walking with Wisdom
2026/07/19
Life is often described as a journey. We talk about being on the right path, taking the next step, or wondering where the road ahead will lead. The question isn't whether we'll walk through difficult seasons because we all will. The question is how we will walk through them.
Truth v. Lies
2026/07/12
Paul Bergen shares how lies and the beliefs we build on them impact how we see ourselves, the world around us, and God.
Loss of a Brother
2026/07/05
We begin our summer series as WMBCers share personal stories of how God’s Word has spoken to them in the moments of their lives. This Sunday, Terry will share about the passing of his older brother, Chris, and the impact that has had on his family and his faith journey. In the chaos of grief and loss, Psalm 139 became an anchor of hope. Just a head’s up that Terry will share (with sensitivity) on difficult themes related to his brother’s death.
Leaving a Legacy
2026/06/28
Join us this Sunday as Matt & Lisa Wiebe share a multi-generational story of life on mission as cross-cultural missionaries in the Dominican Republic. Matt & Lisa and their boys left early January 2026, and will share updates on their first six months in the mission field and the lessons God has been teaching on leaving a legacy.
David: Legacy of Faithfulness
2026/06/14
This Sunday we explore the last words of David, and his legacy of faithfulness. David ranks as one of the key voices in the entire Bible, and it is from the line of David, that a king would come to rule on his throne forever, and usher in a new kingdom, the kingdom of God here on earth. We celebrate this Sunday, the incredible Kingdom story that we are living in, and all that God is doing in and through WMBC – we are witnesses to his faithfulness! Join us as we commission our young adults serving at camp this summer, introduce you to the leaders of the Ukrainian Bible Church, and reflect on what legacy WMBC will leave.
Better Not Call Saul
2026/06/07
I frequently ask myself the question “what kind of person do you want to be when you’re seventy?” The choices that we make today impact our character and our futures. This week we’re going to look at the story of Saul, Israel’s first king. As we look at his story, we’ll see the expectation and hope that came with his ascension to power, and we’ll watch how poor choices and living in regret ultimately derailed his life and led to a legacy that aged poorly. See you on Sunday!
Jonathan: Legacy of Loyalty
2026/05/31
Though not a main character in the books of Samuel, Jonathan manages to have a big impact because of a trait he shares with God. This week, we look at the cost and reward of living a life of loyalty.
