How NICE prepares for the healthcare of tomorrow
2026/09/30
In this episode, we explore the research taking place behind the scenes at NICE and how it helps us prepare for the future of healthcare. From new medicines and digital health technologies to artificial intelligence and innovative ways of using health data, the Research team works with partners across the UK and around the world to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing health and care today. Associate Director of Research Sarah Fothergill and senior scientific adviser Jamie Elvidge explain how NICE identifies emerging trends, develops new methods for evaluating health technologies, and ensures that future guidance is based on the best available evidence. You'll find more about the work of the research team, including how to get involved, on our website: https://www.nice.org.uk/what-nice-does/our-research-work/how-to-partner-with-us-in-our-research-work
