Josh and David meet on Zoom with a packed show. Prof Jaime Vera and Marc Tweed talk to David about Patient Reported Outcome Measures, PROM’s. They are useful to patients who can prepare to disclose sensitive life factors before entering the HIV consultants appointment. Using these PROMs, doctors can help identify unmet medical needs and work with community partners for non medical needs. Both Marc and Jaime choose a song. News includes NICE not funding injectable Lenacapavir, being cautious when sharing health information with dating Apps, and The Sussex Beacon will soon be launching the Cognitive Health Club in October.

Tracey Buckingham from The Sussex Beacon joins Josh and David on Zoom to talk about the fantastic reopening of the Inpatient Unit in March next year. Tracey mentions a brief history of what The Sussex Beacon used to offer when it was first created and how it has adapted to meet the changing needs of people living with HIV for over thirty years. In community news, we mention George House Trust, the Lancet Commission on HIV and ageing, Lunch Positive’s Eastbourne group, The British Psychological Society’s new guide to “Living Well with HIV”, and the Red Run.
