The wild chain of synchronicities that led from his father’s mental health crisis, to a psychiatrist, to a therapist, and eventually to Ayahuasca. What plant medicine is, including Ayahuasca and psilocybin, and why people come to MexiSoul retreats. How the retreat is designed for safety, emotional support, and intimacy with small groups and a highly trained team The role of other medicines offered at MexiSoul (Bufo, Satori, Kambo), all carefully planned and dimethyltryptamine (DMT) based. How plant medicine can support neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to rewire) and create new emotional and mental pathways. Why integration after the ceremony is just as important as the medicine itself, and how Ruger and his sister are building an online integration community called SOUL If you are curious about Ayahuasca, plant medicine, or simply feel stuck and are searching for meaning and healing, this conversation gives an honest look at the work, the beauty, and the responsibility that comes with these experiences. 🌐 Website for the show: https://podversations.com 🌿 Learn more about MexiSoul Retreats: https://mexisoulretreats.com 🎧 Ruger’s podcast: “Remember Who You Are” - stories of healing and transformation with plant medicine: https://apple.co/4hXXiHK Chapters / Timestamps 00:00:00 Intro 00:02:28 What Is Plant Medicine? 00:03:18 What Does MexiSoul Offer? 00:03:47 Why Do We Need Plant Medicine? 00:05:07 Life As a Poker Dealer 00:06:35 Breaking Point 00:11:12 Therapy & Rehab 00:15:51 Synchronicities 00:27:19 Day After Ayahuasca 00:30:59 Starting MexiSoul 00:33:06 MexiSoul Offerings 00:38:56 Other Amenities 00:43:10 Psilocybin Retreat 00:46:00 What is Neuroplasticity? 00:47:44 What is Integration? 00:55:25 Closing Connect with DJ INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/davidelloydjr EMAIL: [email protected] Support the Show PATREON: https://davidlloydjr.com/Patreon DONATE: https://davidlloydjr.com/donate Your support helps me create more conversations like this and keep the podcast going.
