You’ve been faithful for months—or even years—and you’re beginning to wonder, “Did I miss God? Am I on the wrong path? Should I just give up?” God wants to encourage you today: don’t give up yet. In Psalm 27:13–14, David reveals what kept him from losing hope in the middle of disappointment and uncertainty: he believed he would see the goodness of God in the land of the living. And then he gives us the key: “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.” Waiting on God doesn’t mean sitting still and doing nothing. It means looking to Him with expectant hope, standing your ground when circumstances tell you to quit, and allowing Him to strengthen your heart as you continue faithfully stewarding what He’s placed inside you.
