This has been a long time coming folks. Boris and I spoke years ago and due to technical difficulties, the interview was lost forever, but, HE CAME BACK! Boris is a career festival producer who routinely works at festivals such as Coachella and Bonnaroo which gives him a unique insight into how things ended up the way they did at Woodstock 99 and also how it impacted festivals today.

WE MADE IT! Episode 100! 100 episodes of premier Woodstock 99 content. We watched every set, we spoke to over 60 attendees, we watched countless hours of home videos and documentaries, and we made 100 episodes about one singular topic. Thank you to all of the fans and listeners (there is a difference we have learned). Ryan sits down with the OG Podcast 99 crew, Josh Evans, Parks Miller, and Greh Holger to discuss the humble beginnings and highlights of the world’s best Woodstock 99 audio only podcast.

EPISODE 99! We made it! We celebrate our 99th episode with the conclusion of one of the greatest survivor stories we have ever heard. Paul, our East Stage security lead, continues his tale with the legend of Chicago Bill, Rage vs. hardened stage hands, Jewel crushing his dreams, and a mellow walk about the chaos. Thank you all for listening to this stupid project four friends started 8 years ago. It has been a wild ride and we are so glad you decided to come along! See you at Woodstock!

For the first time in Podcast 99 history, we have an esteemed member of the Woodstock 99 security force on the show. Paul was not really a member of the Peace Patrol as he was in the upper tier of security and was brought in to monitor the East Stage, for the entire festival. This story is full of celeb interactions, weed, meatball subs, handjobs, and colorful 1990’s vernacular, and this is only PART ONE!

Welcome to 2026! We still haven’t left 1999 here at Podcast 99 as we continue our endless coverage of the notorious Woodstock 99 festival. Matthew remembers everything, against all odds. A true rock and roll veteran who survived both Woodstock 94 and 99. This is a killer way to start the year and one of the absolute beefiest survivor stories we have ever heard.

Welcome to 2026 and another year of Survivor Stories! Woodstock 99 lore continues to grow here at Podcast 99 and this year we start with Daroyl (misspelt by his mother). This guy is a well of information and has a great perspective on the festival. He also experienced a more than rare occurrence of some female attendees turning the tables on their male counterparts.

Our latest survivor hails all the way from New Zealand and was lucky(?) enough to attend Woodstock 99. Not only does Rees remember a ton about his time at the festival, but he also got up every morning and ran up to 10 miles during it. This is a great survivor story to cap off the year, thank you all for listening, happy holidays and we will see you at Woodstock!

We got another Jeff! Jeff had never been to a festival before Woodstock 99, heck, he had only really been to less than ten concerts! Jeff and a buddy braved the road in a dying car to really just see Metallica, almost dying during Limp Bizkit was an added bonus.

Oxy’s story truly puts the “survivor” in “survivor stories.” At just 18 years old, Oxy flew to America from Hungary in order to attend Woodstock 99, alone, with $80, no tent, no nothin. Despite the odds being incalculably stacked against him, he flourished and had a great time seeing his all time favorite band, The Offspring.

This is a Mt. Rushmore episode folks. Jason was an admitted scumbag, one who left in a fury for Woodstock 99 after an argument with his girlfriend, who lied about where he was going in order to acquire the money, who had an affair while at Woodstock 99, and then had a life altering experience during Jewel that can only be described as, “transcendent.” This episode also listens less like a traditional episode and more what it sounds like when Ryan meets a Woodstock 99 attendee at the bar.

You asked for it, you got it. This is the first episode of our new Podcast 99 side series “94 Diaries” where we speak with folks who were at Woodstock 94. Woodstock 94 is the forgotten Woodstock, but why? On this episode we speak with Matt who remembers everything from his time at Woodstock 94 and really shines a light on the little Woodstock that could, where mud was mud and water was free.

Holy cow folks, we got another one. This is top-tier survivor stories material here. Jay spent more time in the rave than perhaps anyone else we have interviewed besides Brooke. From mysterious pills, trauma inducing sights, poop, and staph infections, this story has it all. Buckle up and be sure to stay hydrated.

Jeremy attended Woodstock 99 with fellow survivor Joe and had a wildly different time than his soft spoken buddy. Jeremy, a self-described “fat guy and boob guy,” has a great story to tell complete with a trip to the swimmin’ hole and several hits of LSD during Limp Bizkit.

Chris is an accomplished comedy writer and overall rad dude, a rad dude that went to Woodstock 99. Chris’ time at Woodstock 99 was the inspiration for an episode of “Lucas Bros Moving Co” titled “Nutopia.” This is an incredibly cinematic retelling of one hell of a weekend.

Joe played it safe at Woodstock 99, saving his energy for his favorite bands. He even slept through the riots and woke up to what looked like a warzone. He also attended Woodstock 94 and had a very idyllic time complete with great music and a scary hitchhiker scenario.
