A real mish-mash this one, I was aiming for a darker, moodier '92 vibe, but ended up picking out quite a bit of '93 & '94, so just ran with it and started to pitch up here and there. I tend to focus on the darker side of Hardcore, and neglect a lot of the amazing uplifting that I grab along the way, so thought I would do a little mix of some more traditional hardcore. Some super new stuff alongside some slightly older numbers, all new cuts from recent years, keeping that hardcore vibe alive. A few audio issues round the 9 or 10 min mark, due to Avast hogging my laptop apparently, but it doesn't last. I also overdid it with the green lighting in the room, so the video looks filtered, it isn't :) https://youtu.be/FOaYwXBZNJ8 Tracklist: Damage Inc - Rushtastic Innercore - Wicked Wicked Games Top Buzz & Swankout - Livin' In The Darkness (The Legacy Vocal Mix) Tim Reaper & Dwarde - You Called Nutty Trax - Untitled 6 Nightmare & Devastate - Rude Boy Fassion (Stu Chapman Remix) Billy Daniel Bunter & Sanxion - Shining Innercore - Come With It Billy Daniel Bunter & Sanxion - Reload Nightmare & UFO - Feel The Vibe Swankout - Pull Up Selectah Tim Reaper & Dwarde - My Love Shadowchild - P&O Swankout - One Time Tuff Tunes - Check This Out Zhute - Tingler EQ - Out-A-Ert Nutty Trax - Untitled 4 Tuff Tunes - Like This DJ Junk - Jupiter System Rem-Main Innercore - Rush MF DJ Pooch - Mind, Body & Soul Isotonik - Different Strokes (Criminal Minds Orange Krush Version)

Just back to back darkside hardcore jungle goodness from the FX. Keeping that '93 darkside vibe well and truly alive in the modern age. Mid to late 90's Bristol esque Drum & Bass all the way, V, Full Cycle, Drop Dragon & Talkin Loud. If you know, you know. This was an era of Drum & Bass that holds a special place in my heart, I absolutely love this sound to this day and wish there was a resurgence of this era. I'm sure there will as the 30 year anniversary gets close, but until then enjoy. As always, picked on the fly and some worked better than others..... It's been a little while since I had an all Jungle mix and I had some new plates I wanted to have a play with. It's Jungle new and old, slung together off the cuff, so some worked better than others. Started off with some smoother numbers, but inevitably it descended in to some harder cuts. I've been slacking in recent times, too much to do and not enough time on the decks. So I thought I would have a dabble with a random selection of the God tier 92/93 releases I own, some of which are represses but still... Selection was very random and they didn't all work, but I enjoyed it. Hope you do too. A bit of a selfish mix this one, I've loved these Pillz releases since the first one in 2021 and thought it would be nice to have a mix of them all for the car. So yeah, it's only 40 mins, but it's full on from start to finish, all 8 tracks to date slapped together in my usual unplanned style. That said I did plan to start with Fear The Acid as that has the oldest hardcore vibe, so partially planned you could add Unknown Artist - Fear The Acid Unknown Artist - Hardcore Bass Unknown Artist - Cutting Up Samples Unknown Artist - Buzzing Unknown Artist - Spaced Out Unknown Artist - Listen To The Sample Unknown Artist - I Can Feel It Unknown Artist - E's In Effect Shouts to the Pillz crew, whoever you are.... if you like what you hear, get yourself here for Digi and Vinyl - https://pillz1.bandcamp.com/merch YouTube available here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62XO7pd-emw

I haven't been mixing Drum & Bass for a while now as the scene has changed a little too much for me, it's all gone a little samey and squeaky from some artists! Also, it means getting on the CDJs, which have been gathering dust in favour of my decks in recent times. Anyway, I decided to dig out the CD wallets (yes, I have CDJ1000 Mk3s) and have a spin of some historic bits.
