This guy was a seminal figure in early motion picture technology. He was a renowned photographer who worked with railroad magnate Leland Stanford to answer the question; is a horse ever completely aloft as it gallops. In the process, he invented the zoopraxiscope and helped set pictures in motion! Oh... and he also happened to murder his 21yo wife's lover! Jon and Keith are back at it ladies and gentleman. We are here at the Shat Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, in a highly guarded and secretive location in of all places, Alabama, with some exciting SHAT to share with you. So, have you ever heard of Douglas Engelbart? We hadn't either until recently. He is most famously known as the inventor of the ubiquitous computer input device known as the mouse! But there's much more you fabulous flumadiddlers. On December 9th of the tumultuous year of our Lord, 1968, he did a thing! A big thing! He demonstrated the future of computing, or as the wikipedias puts it... He did a 90-minute presentation demonstrating for the first time many of the fundamental elements of modern personal computing: windows, hypertext, graphics, efficient navigation and command input, video conferencing, the computer mouse, word processing, dynamic file linking, revision control, and a collaborative real-time editor. Engelbart's presentation was the first to publicly demonstrate all of these elements in a single system.  So sit back and enjoy as we caress your earholes with this amazing story.

Hello all you beautiful Shat fans, Jon and Keith here, at 1 Shat Tower in scenic N. Alabama. We are in the Nuclear Research and Historical Studies Lab here on the 137th floor and folks, do we have a really big show for you this month.  We know that the Manhattan Project and Oppenheimer are all the rage, en vogue and the bees knees all rolled up into one, but what about the Alsos Mission and Boris T. Pash. The what Mission and Boris who you ask?
