Here for Good | Todd Arnett
2026/09/28
What does it mean to truly be "here for good"? This vision calls us to both permanence and purpose—reflecting God's goodness (*agathos*) in our daily lives. The early church won their communities not through debate, but by being dramatically good neighbors and simply sharing what God had done in their lives. When we recognize His goodness in our own journey, sharing our story isn't a forced presentation—it's the natural overflow of a transformed life. Are we willing to be inconvenienced for the unconvinced? Chapter 1: HDC Is Here for Good 0:00 – 5:29Chapter 2: Sharing Stories of Good News 5:30 – 26:37Chapter 3: Good Neighbors in Our Communities 26:38 – 38:30Chapter 4: For the Good of the Desert 38:31 – 44:07Chapter 5: Becoming Locals Wherever We Go 44:08
Courage, Concessions and Compromise | Kurt Thielen
2026/09/21
The Space Shuttle Challenger wasn't lost to a sudden error, but to a slow accumulation of ignored flaws. In Revelation 2, Jesus addresses this exact pattern in Pergamum—a church living at the "throne of Satan." They showed heroic courage when Antipas was martyred, yet a subtle drift crept in: assuming little giving-in didn't matter as long as their hearts remained devoted to God. The warning for us is urgent: remarkable courage doesn't make us immune to the slow erosion of compromise. Where are we quietly blending into the world simply because faithfulness feels inconvenient? Chapter 1: The Cost of Small Compromises 0:00 – 5:06Chapter 2: Courage Where Satan Dwells 5:07 – 25:19Chapter 3: When Compromise Becomes Tolerated 25:20 – 37:34Chapter 4: Hidden Manna and a White Stone 37:35
Be Faithful | Todd Arnett
2026/09/14
When the church at Smyrna refused to declare Caesar as Lord, it cost them everything—poverty, slander, and imprisonment.Yet Jesus offered no false comfort that their suffering would disappear. Instead, He met them right in the trial with two words of deep assurance: "I know." He reminds us that faithfulness isn't measured by ease, but by loyalty under pressure—refusing to let go of Christ when the fight comes to us. Though we may not face severe persecution right now, Smyrna inspires us to stay the course. Because Christ has already conquered death—our greatest fear—we can stand firm no matter the cost. Chapter 1: Bearing the Name of Jesus 0:00 – 6:35Chapter 2: Seen in the Struggle 6:36 – 21:52Chapter 3: Faith When Fear Feels Real 21:53 – 34:23Chapter 4: Eternity Beyond the Persecution 34:24
Don’t Forsake! | Todd Arnett
2026/09/08
Our duty for Jesus can never be a substitute for our devotion to Him. The ancient church of Ephesus did everything right on the outside—they persevered, guarded sound doctrine, and worked hard. Yet they missed the plot because they lost their first love. When our walk with God becomes more about what we do for Him than being overwhelmed by what He has done for us, we treat Him like an employer instead of our Savior. Don't let your faith become a checklist. Let’s stop trudging through our faith out of obligation and start treasuring the relationship we were made for. Chapter 1: A Home to Call Our Own Update 0:00 – 3:00Chapter 2: Love Before the List 3:01 – 7:10Chapter 3: Perseverance and Purity Jesus Commends 7:11 – 21:03Chapter 4: When Duty Replaces Devotion 21:04 – 36:25Chapter 5: Love That Endures to the End 36:26
Who Was, Who Is, and Who Is to Come | Todd Arnett
2026/09/01
Most of us either obsess over end-times timelines or avoid the book of Revelation entirely. But there is a third option: anticipation. Revelation 1 anchors our faith by showing us the risen King in His full, unfiltered glory—with eyes like fire and a face like the sun. Glimpsing the sheer scale of who Jesus is reminds us that the reigning King of all creation is holding the end of the story. That reality doesn't make us check out; it inspires us to live on mission today. Knowing how it all ends is what changes how we endure the struggles we face right now. Chapter 1: Introduction: Don’t Skip the Ending 0:00 – 12:26Chapter 2: Reading Revelation 1 Together 12:27 – 16:36Chapter 3: Keeping Jesus at the Center 16:37 – 25:23Chapter 4: The King Is Coming Back 25:24 – 31:54Chapter 5: The Church Belongs to Jesus 31:55
Praying Together | Live Weekend
2026/08/25
The biblical pattern has always been one of praying together, not just in private. When we align our hearts as a gathered community, God receives greater glory and we experience a unity that cuts across cultural and generational divides. This isn’t a religious formality—it’s how the character of Christ is formed in us, igniting a contagious passion that spreads from heart to heart. If we don't want to merely hear this and walk away, we have to actually practice it: lifting our voices together to discover what is possible when we genuinely seek God in one accord. Chapter 1: Praying as God’s Gathered People 0:00 – 2:24Chapter 2: Why We Pray Together 2:25 – 14:45Chapter 3: Upward Prayer: Remembering Who God Is 14:46 – 21:20Chapter 4: Inward Prayer: Returning to God 21:21 – 28:48Chapter 5: Outward Prayer: Praying for Our World 28:49
Teach Us How To Pray | Jackson Arnett
2026/08/17
Prayer isn’t a religious ritual—it’s a way to reorient our hearts to the reality of who God is. Jesus gave us a "shape" to pray within that reminds us we aren’t talking to a distant Creator, but to a Father. When we fix our eyes on the kingdom He is building, the pressures of this life start to lose their grip. We realize this world isn't our final destination, and the troubles we face today can’t even remotely compare to the joy of eternity in Heaven. Our requests are transformed from anxiety into trust. Stop trying to orient God to you, and allow Him to reorient your heart to Him through prayer. Chapter 1: Prayer Begins with the Father 0:00 – 20:44Chapter 2: Prayer Looks Toward the Kingdom 20:45 – 27:49Chapter 3: Prayer Depends on God Together 27:50
Talking to a God Who Knows Everything | Todd Arnett
2026/08/10
Prayer isn’t a checklist or a religious routine—it’s an open, face-forward conversation with the Creator of the universe. Based on Ephesians 6:18, we see that prayer is simply talking to God. It’s how we step into the most profound relationship available to us through adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication. From David’s breathtaking praise in 1 Chronicles to his raw confession in Psalm 51, it’s clear that God welcomes every part of who we are. No part of your inner life is too messy to bring before Him. Stop trying to say the right words and start connecting with your Heavenly Father today. Chapter 1: Introduction: Making Prayer Stick 0:00 – 10:39Chapter 2: Prayer Is Talking with God 10:40 – 32:37Chapter 3: Prayer Is for Knowing God 32:38 – 40:19Chapter 4: Prayer Is Connecting with God 40:20
Anticipating Messiah’s Arrival & Return | Todd Arnett
2026/08/03
The return of Christ is not a theological footnote—it’s the destination the entire Bible is building toward. From the first promise in Genesis to the restored creation in Revelation, we are invited to live with active, courageous expectancy. It’s easy to get comfortable in the daily grind and let this reality slip off our radar, but we are called to stay alert. Like the saints in Hebrews 11, we should keep our eyes fixed on the horizon, knowing this world isn't our final home. Stop waiting passively and start leaning forward in anticipation. Let's live like the end of the story changes everything right now. Chapter 1: Introduction: Waiting with Eyes on the Horizon 0:00 – 12:00Chapter 2: Waiting for the Snake-Crusher 12:01 – 16:59Chapter 3: Longing for a Better Home 17:00 – 35:29Chapter 4: Eagerly Waiting for Jesus’ Return 35:30 – 39:02Chapter 5: God Is Patient with Us 39:03
Fearing Instead of Waiting | Todd Arnett
2026/07/27
Fear makes us feel like we must do something—anything—rather than trust the One who actually holds the outcome. In 1 Samuel 13, King Saul hit that wall. As his soldiers fled and the enemy closed in, he decided waiting on God was too slow. He didn't pray; he tried to force a blessing on his own terms, and it cost him everything. We’ve all been there, deciding that taking the wheel is safer than waiting. But waiting isn’t passive; it’s an act of courageous trust that gives God space to do what only He can do. This week, let’s choose that trust by making prayer our very first move, instead of our last resort. Chapter 1: When Fear Makes You Self-Reliant 0:00 – 31:57Chapter 2: Waiting When You Want to Act 31:58 – 41:59Chapter 3: Learning Patience from God’s Faithfulness 42:00
Waiting through Pain | Mike Roberts
2026/07/20
Hannah’s story shows us how to wait well through seasons of deep pain. We often think fulfillment comes from finally getting the answer we want, but she shows us that satisfaction is actually about getting God. The most remarkable part? She found peace before she received what she asked for. Instead of trying to bargain with God, prayer is where we align our hearts with His purposes. When we stop listening to our own spiraling thoughts and start informing ourselves of His character, we can choose a verse to anchor us and a song to lift our hearts. Even in our darkest seasons, we can choose joy over despair because we have Him. Chapter 1: Hannah’s Struggle: When Waiting Hurts 0:00 – 17:47Chapter 2: Hannah’s Stand: Pouring Out the Pain 17:48 – 26:50Chapter 3: Hannah’s Son: The Gift Given Back 26:51 – 33:08Chapter 4: Hannah’s Song: Choosing Joy in the Pain 33:09
Waiting For the Road to Clear | Kurt Thielen
2026/07/13
David’s life shows us what it looks like to wait without taking matters into our own hands. Though God had promised him the throne, David refused to force the outcome through God-forbidden means. In the wilderness, he learned to guard his heart, open it to the right people, and pray with honesty. His Psalms give us a pattern for waiting well: remember who God is, tell Him what you desire, and trust Him with the answer. In our series, Waiting Well, we’re learning that waiting isn’t wasted time. It’s where God refines us, strengthens our faith, and teaches us to trust Him with what comes next. Chapter 1: When God Slows the Road Ahead 0:00 – 10:15Chapter 2: Guard Your Heart When Voices Get Loud 10:16 – 27:32Chapter 3: Open Your Heart to Friends Who Anchor You 27:33 – 33:34Chapter 4: Open Your Heart to God While You Wait 33:35
Waiting Well: From Pit to Pit to Palace | Jackson Arnett
2026/07/06
Joseph’s life is a masterclass in staying engaged when nothing goes to plan. He showed us that fulfillment doesn't come from your position—it comes from God's presence. He was presence-driven, not position-driven. In our series, Waiting Well, we’re learning that waiting has a speed limit. You can't speed through the refinement God is doing in your life, and you can't just sit it out. If you feel stuck, don’t check out. God does His deepest work right in the middle of the tension Chapter 1: Stay Present in the Place God Has You 0:00 – 22:46Chapter 2: Keep Your Direction When Approval Costs You 22:47 – 33:55Chapter 3: Let Christ Refine You Before You Rush Ahead 33:56 – 48:58
Helping Instead of Waiting
2026/06/30
In this powerful exploration of waiting on God, we journey through the story of Abram and Sarai, a couple who received an audacious promise from God that seemed impossible given their circumstances. God promised to make them into a great nation through whom all peoples on earth would be blessed, yet they remained childless for 25 years. The narrative challenges us to examine our own impatience and our tendency to help God along when His timing doesn't align with ours. Like using an electric toothbrush incorrectly by brushing manually, we often work against God's perfect plan by inserting our own efforts. The story reveals how Sarai's plan to have a child through her servant Hagar created generational conflict that persists to this day between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael. Yet remarkably, Scripture still counts Abram and Sarai as faithful despite their misstep. This gives us tremendous hope that even when we've jumped ahead of God, we can return to trusting Him today. The message invites us to practice restraint, a discipline that feels counterintuitive in our action-oriented culture, and to ask ourselves a crucial question: Do we have clarity from God for the things we're waiting for, or are we holding Him accountable for promises He never made? ChaptersChapter 1: Introduction and Celebration 0:00 - 3:00We celebrate receiving approval for construction permits and introduce the teaching series on waiting well, using the analogy of an electric toothbrush to illustrate how our attempts to help God can work against His purposes.Chapter 2: The Story of Abram and Sarai's Promise 3:00 - 17:30We examine the narrative of Abram and Sarai, who received God's promise of descendants at age 75 but waited 25 years for fulfillment, eventually taking matters into their own hands through Hagar.Chapter 3: God's Faithfulness Despite Our Impatience 17:30 - 27:30We learn that despite Abram and Sarai's impatience and attempt to fulfill God's promise themselves, Scripture still records them as faithful, demonstrating that we can return to trusting God even after we've jumped ahead.Chapter 4: Learning Constraint and Evaluating Our Steps 27:30 - 42:02We learn that waiting well includes restraint and doing nothing when no alternative movement is possible without forfeiting obedience, and we're given four evaluative questions to guide our decisions.
How to Stop Hating Waiting | Todd Arnett
2026/06/22
Waiting isn't punishment—it's actually our proper posture as creatures dependent on our Creator. Most of us are obsessed with speed, but hurry and love are fundamentally incompatible. When we’re constantly rushing, we simply can't love God or our neighbors well.Drawing from Lamentations 3 and Psalm 130, we’re looking at why waiting is a sacred space where God meets us and transforms our desires. This isn't about passivity; it’s about actively surrendering to the Spirit's leadership. Will we keep outpacing our own spiritual growth, or will we learn to wait well? Chapter 1: Waiting Is Where God Meets Us 0:00 – 25:24Chapter 2: Trade Hurry for Trust 25:25 – 37:13Chapter 3: Practice the Pace of Waiting Well 37:14
