How to Figure Out What You Actually Want
2026/09/07
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach and creator of Physical Productivity. I help enterprise sellers stop fighting their wiring by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
I ask everyone I coach the same question. Drop the shoulds, and tell me what you actually want. Not what you think you should want, what you want. And so often I get a blank stare, total silence. Then I asked myself the same thing and went just as blank. When you can't even answer that, you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, I unpack why some of us have no idea what we want (hello, lifelong people-pleasers and chameleons), and I share the three tricks that finally helped me find out. It's hard to live without regret when you don't know what you want, so let's fix the not-knowing first.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
Why the "what do you actually want" question makes some of us go completely blank
The chameleon: how being who everyone needs kept you safe as a kid and burns you out as an adult
Tool 1, envy as a map: the people you envy are pointing straight at what you want
Tool 2, the impress-yourself filter: if you watched yourself walk in the door, what would impress you?
Tool 3, the invisibility cloak: nobody's actually thinking about you, so what would you do if no one could see?
Why "drop the shoulds" is the whole game
How ADHD can show up as a need to be different without knowing what you actually like

How I Accidentally Fixed My Productivity on a Random Zoom
2026/08/10
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach and creator of Physical Productivity. I help enterprise sellers stop fighting their wiring by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
For years I'd sit down at my desk with everything set up, follow every productivity guru's checklist, and then do nothing. I couldn't get myself to start, and I quietly wondered what was wrong with me. Because when you've done all the right things and still can't work, you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, I unpack the Physical Productivity idea that fixed it for me: your environment is part of your productivity system. One random co-working Zoom unlocked more focus in an hour than I usually get in a week, and it turns out how you like to move your body tells you exactly who you need in the room when you work.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
The random co-working Zoom that unlocked more focus in an hour than I usually get in a week
Physical Productivity: your environment is part of the system, not a willpower test
The Solo type: protect your mornings at home, collaborate at the office later (the reps who closed company-record deals)
The Around-people type: virtual co-working, the coffee shop, or the office
The Pomodoro Technique as HIIT for your workday, 25 minutes on, 5 off
The Specific-people type: some of us only light up around our people (my friend Kelsey)
Why your focus problem is usually an environment problem, not a willpower one
The coffee-shop trick for the admin work you keep avoiding
Resources Mentioned:

The Pomodoro Technique: 25 minutes of focused work then a 5-minute break, run like HIIT for your workday.

You Don't Need a New Planner: Plan by Your Physical Productivity Type
2026/08/03
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach and creator of Physical Productivity. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
I was cleaning off my desk to make room for a new one, and I found a graveyard of planners. Every single one I bought was me deciding the last planner was the problem. So when the system doesn't stick, you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, I unpack Physical Productivity through planning: your body already has a blueprint for how you plan best, and it maps to one of six energy types from my Work Like You Workout® framework. Find your type, and you'll know exactly how to plan and which planners to stop buying.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
Why you don't need a new planner; you need the plan that matches your wiring
Physical Productivity: your body already has a blueprint for how you plan best
The Marathoner (endurance): do all the upfront planning, then execute in deep work
The Sprinter (high-intensity): skip the master plan, keep a $2 Post-it Note with the next three things
The Powerlifter (strength): plan a quarter at a time and theme your days
The Team Player: stop building your own plan, borrow a trusted expert's
The Solo Ace: gather everyone's ideas, then throw out the rules and make your own
The Cross-trainer (mix): plan variety on purpose, and start with the easiest thing to build momentum

You're Not a Procrastinator: The Physical Productivity Fix for Getting Unstuck
2026/07/27
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach and creator of Physical Productivity. I help enterprise sellers and high performers stop fighting their wiring, clean up mindset trash, and build work systems that actually match how they're built, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
Physical Productivity is built on a simple idea: your body is part of your productivity system. Your energy, nervous system, environment, and natural wiring all affect how easy or hard it feels to start.
And if you've decided procrastination is just who you are, a flaw baked into your DNA, every stalled task starts to feel like evidence that something is wrong with you.
It isn't.
In this episode, I'm taking my Work Like You Workout® framework through the lens of procrastination. You'll find yourself in one of six energy types, and I'll give you the exact move to get unstuck for the type that's you.
Because procrastination was never an identity. It's a situational response to overwhelm, and your body is usually giving you clues before your brain catches up.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
Why "I'm just a procrastinator" is a story your brain learned
Procrastination as a symptom of overwhelm, not a character flaw
What Physical Productivity is and why your body matters for focus
Work Like You Workout®: the six energy types, and the fix for each one
Endurance athletes: plan it all up front, then protect deep work
High-intensity athletes: short bursts, a timer, and "I can do anything for 30 seconds"
Strength trainers: theme your days, the tweak that cut Seth's stress about 80%
Team people: body doubling and co-working
Solo athletes: a space that's just yours
The cross-trainer mix type: why variety is your unlock, and often an ADHD tell
Resources Mentioned:

Focus music I use: Hans Zimmer's Inception soundtrack, "Cornfield Chase" from the Interstellar soundtrack.

How to Rest Without the Guilt Spiral
2026/07/20
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
A low-energy day hits, and before you can even rest, a voice shows up asking what's wrong with you and why you're not working harder. When your energy dips, you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, I walk you through exactly what I do on a low-energy day (I used it two days ago while fighting a virus): how I rest without guilt, get the most important things done anyway, and come back stronger. The low energy was never the problem. The spiral is.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
Why the low-energy day isn't the problem, the spiral is
Work Like You Workout®: reading your physical energy as a map for your mental energy
The 1-to-10 scale, and how grinding a 4 into the ground just makes tomorrow a 3
My Disneyland day: fully booked, totally wiped, and how resting between sessions got everything done
The minimum viable day, and the $2 Post-it Note trick every client loves
Why rest is a strategy, not a reward, and what Steph Curry and LeBron do every single day
The reframe: your manager hired you to hit quota, not to work 12-hour days

How I Talk Myself Out of a Spiral
2026/07/13
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
When a loss knocks you into a spiral, your brain starts insisting nothing is working and nothing ever will. In those moments, you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, I give you the one tool I use on myself and every client to climb out of that spiral. We get into why your brain is wired to fixate on what's going wrong, why your feelings keep lying to you about how bad things really are, and the single phrase that pulls me back every time.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
Why a single loss can make the whole season feel like a wash
The negativity bias, and why your brain is wired to stare at the burning tree
Why uncertainty might be the most uncomfortable feeling there is
The phrase I give every client: "I have a 100% track record of always figuring it out"
Why your brain quietly discounts every time things actually worked
The data check that exposes the lie your feelings are telling you
The two-hand body cue I use to talk myself off the ledge

The Nicest Thing Anyone Ever Did For Me
2026/07/06
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
When you grow up without money, you learn to carry everything yourself. And when you can't keep up with everyone around you, you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, the third in my drill team series, I tell you about the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I was 16, working every odd job I could find to pay my own team fees, and one day my coach pulled me aside with news that changed everything. It took me years to understand what really happened, and it shaped how I think about belonging, money, and giving back.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
The nicest thing anyone has ever done for me, and why it took years to realize who did it
Working my tail off at 16: feeding cats, watering plants, mowing my grandpa's lawn to pay my own fees
The day my coach pulled me aside and told me a sponsor would cover the rest
The relief of realizing I didn't have to carry it all myself
Why "I don't belong" is a money story so many of us quietly tell ourselves
How I pay it forward now, and the three ways you might want to
Why giving is one of the most motivating things you'll ever do

My Most Embarrassing Moment
2026/06/29
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
There's a memory I've carried for most of my life as proof that I was worthless and would never make money. I've tried coaching it, journaling it, meditating on it, and even hypnosis. When a wound like that won't heal, no matter what you throw at it, you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, I unpack the most embarrassing moment of my life, the money mindset it wired into me, and the single reframe that finally let me see that memory in a completely new light. I also tell you about my client Brendan, who released one belief about himself and went on to retire at 42.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
The most embarrassing moment of my life: my mom, a drill team orientation, and a $500 fee we couldn't pay
The belief that got wired in that day, that I was less than because of money
The Enneagram 3 trap of chasing status to finally feel worthy
The doubling study that explains why no amount of money ever feels like enough
What coaching actually is, a paradigm shift, not worksheets and homework
How one reframe freed my client, Brendan, from the belief that being an introvert made him bad at sales
The reframe I cannot unsee: my quiet, introverted mom was fighting for me

I Can Jump on a Pogo Stick With No Hands
2026/06/22
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
You made it through the hard season. The money was gone, the odds were bad, and somehow you figured it out. Then someone called it resilience, and you waved it off, because you had no choice, so it doesn't count.
In this episode (Part 1 of a 3-part series), I tell you how a kid who grew up with no money and never had a single dance lesson taught herself back handsprings, made the elite drill team, and won a state championship on a pogo stick. Then I show you why "I just had to" is still resilience, how visualization quietly rewires what your body can do, and why your stubbornness is proof you'll figure out the next thing too.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
The pogo-stick-with-no-hands backstory (yes, there's video evidence)
Growing up in a family of eight on $12,000 a year
Teaching herself cartwheels, handstands, and back handsprings with zero lessons
Making the elite drill team after a coach slipped her a note in class
The visualization trick: picture a ballerina, then become her
Why your subconscious can't tell mental rehearsal from the real thing
Using the same move to learn mountain biking
The Austin Powers pogo-stick prop routine that won state
Why "I just had to" is still resilience
The reframe: call it determination, call it pure stubbornness, it still counts
Your 100% track record of always figuring it out
What resilience actually is: bouncing back, even when it's ugly
Be compassionate with yourself as you figure out the next thing

How to Figure Out Why You're Unmotivated
2026/06/15
Welcome to The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
You have everything you need. The calendar is clear, the task is right there, and somehow you still cannot get yourself to do it. You are not burned out, and you are not off your habits; you are just out of gas, and you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, I unpack what actually creates motivation, why being unmotivated is information and not a character flaw, and the three intrinsic drivers (autonomy, mastery, and purpose) that have to be in place for the motivation to show up. Pull one out, and the whole thing quietly stalls, so I show you how to find the one that is off and the levers you can pull to bring it back.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
The out-of-gas feeling that is not burnout and not a broken habit Why being unmotivated is information, not a verdict on you Dan Pink's Drive and why carrots and sticks only work for mechanical jobs Why cognitive work runs on a completely different engine Pillar 1, autonomy: having a say over how you do your work The trap on the other end: too much autonomy, zero help, zero support Pillar 2, mastery: the difference between being bored out of your mind and drowning in the deep end Why you want to be slightly off center, stretched, but still competent Pillar 3, purpose: seeing the value you add versus feeling like a cog in the machine Why you need all three, and what happens when just one goes missing The diagnostic: which pillar feels off, and which levers to pull The invitation: drop the shoulds and get curious instead of critical

Your Workweek Is Sets and Reps (Stop Treating It Like a Marathon)
2026/06/08
Welcome to the The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
You plow through your workday, take a two-second break that is really just checking the doctor's office voicemail, and wonder why you have nothing left for your family by 6 pm. You assume more grit will fix it.
In this episode, I unpack why intentional rest is the missing ingredient for high performers, how the stress cycle either raises your capacity or crashes your baseline, and why nature, menstrual cycles, and your favorite workout all point to the same truth: contrast is what makes sustained performance possible.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
↠ Why this episode is for the sprinters, the strength trainers, and the high-intensity-with-breaks crowd
↠ The Work Like You Workout® framework refresher and why your workout style maps to your workday
↠ The personal trainer who would not let me pick up the weights again until I had truly rested
↠ How I was doing the exact same skip-the-rest move in my workday and burning out by 5 pm
↠ The fake-rest trap: why calling the doctor's office is not actually a break
↠ What happened when I started doing real sets and reps in my workday
↠ Why your family deserves more than the post-work version of you
↠ The contrast principle: why no shower feels better than the one after four days of camping
↠ The sheepdog herding competition that got me thinking about ups and downs
↠ The stress cycle explained: homeostasis, stress, and intentional recovery
↠ Why intentional rest after stress actually raises your baseline capacity
↠ What happens when you skip the rest, keep stacking stress, and hit the wall
↠ Why post-burnout recovery lands you at a lower baseline than where you started
↠ Cycles in nature, menstrual cycles, and seasons of growth and decay
↠ Why cancer is the only thing in nature that does not decay (and what that tells us)
↠ How leaves falling and decaying feed the next season of growth
↠ The invitation: figure out what real rest looks like for you

The 6 Reasons You Can't Stick to a Routine (And How to Fix It)
2026/06/01

I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
If you've ever spent a Sunday rebuilding your planner, color-coding your calendar, or creating the "perfect" productivity system only to abandon it by Wednesday… this episode is for you. I break down why most high achievers are not failing because of discipline. They're failing because they're forcing themselves into systems that were never built for how their energy actually works.
In this episode, you'll learn how to stop fighting your wiring, identify your unique productivity style, and build a work rhythm that creates more performance with dramatically less stress.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
↠ Why your productivity system keeps collapsing halfway through the week
↠ The hidden reason high performers feel "lazy" even when they're working hard
↠ How the Work Like You Workout framework maps physical energy patterns to work performance
↠ Why short-burst athletes struggle in traditional 8-hour productivity models
↠ How themed-day thinkers create better momentum than rigid daily routines
↠ The connection between social energy and workplace performance
↠ Why reactive calendars destroy endurance-style performers
↠ The overlooked role meaning and purpose play in motivation
↠ How rigid systems suffocate intuitive high achievers
↠ The fastest way to reduce stress by aligning your work with your natural wiring
↠ The client story that led to an 80% reduction in work stress
↠ How to stop blaming yourself and start designing work around your actual energy patterns

The Accident That Changed How I Coach High Performers
2026/05/25
Welcome to the The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
You have tried every productivity hack on the internet. Pomodoro, deep work, time blocking. And somehow none of it sticks, so you assume the problem is you.
In this episode, I tell you the full, unpolished origin story of my Work Like You Work Out framework, including the season of sickness and grief that created it, the discovery that changed how I coach high performers, and why the productivity advice that failed you was never built for the way your energy actually works.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
↠ Why I never set out to build a methodology, and how necessity created it instead
↠ The athletic history that secretly mirrored my work style for years
↠ From swim team and state championships to triathlons and 100-mile bike rides
↠ The tech unicorn years, the billion-dollar valuation, and working insane hours
↠ How having kids introduced constraint and changed everything
↠ The COVID, mouth surgery, and full-body fatigue that shut me down completely
↠ Sleeping 12 hours a night, taking 5-hour naps, and wondering if I would ever be okay again
↠ The grief of being an Enneagram 3 whose body finally said no more

How to Stop Ruminating (The Brain Science That Actually Works)
2026/05/18
Welcome to the The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
You replay a social interaction for the tenth time. You wake up at 2 am spiraling about something tiny. You try to logic your way out of it, and your brain refuses to listen.
In this episode, I break down why logic does not work on a ruminating brain, the two networks in your head that cannot be turned on at the same time, and the exact Post-it Note I keep on my monitor to snap myself out of the spiral in seconds.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
↠ The listener message that inspired this episode, and why rumination hits high achievers hardest
↠ Why logic is the worst possible tool to use on a ruminating brain
↠ The fifth-grade memory you cannot let go of and why it keeps replaying
↠ The post-social-interaction spiral that every neurospicy brain knows
↠ The 2 am cleats story and what it taught me about anxiety
↠ The two networks in your brain: default mode network vs. task positive network
↠ Why these two networks cannot be turned on at the same time (and what that means for you) ↠ The simple hack that shuts off rumination in under a minute
↠ Why the smallest task possible is your secret weapon
↠ How to break down a task so small it feels stupid (and why that is the point)
↠ The dopamine hit of crossing "open a new tab" off your list
↠ The exact Post-it Note I keep on my monitor at all times
↠ Why "do the next fastest task" beats willpower every time
↠ Recognizing task saturation and how to get yourself back in motion

How to Stop Letting Perfectionism Run Your Workday
2026/05/11
Welcome to the The Achievers Podcast.
I'm your host, Amber Deibert, Performance Coach. I help enterprise sellers unlock their full potential by aligning their work with how they workout and cleaning up mindset trash, so they can sell more, stress less, and take back control of their time and success.
You spend hours polishing a deliverable nobody notices. You build a beautiful AI-powered strategy and never implement a single piece of it. You refuse to start because you can't do it "right."
In this episode, I break down how perfectionism quietly steals your time, masks deeper fears, and keeps your best work trapped in draft mode, plus the exact tools I use to release the pressure and start shipping work that actually moves deals forward.
🎯 In this episode, I riff on:
↠ The sneaky ways perfectionism shows up in high-performing sellers
↠ Why "I made the strategy but never executed it" is the most expensive form of procrastination
↠ How perfectionism becomes the perfect mask for ADHD and neurospicy brains
↠ The Scrum concept of "gold plating" and how AEs do it daily with POVs and outreach
↠ Brené Brown's 20-ton armor and what perfectionism is really protecting you from
↠ The "if I can't do it perfectly, I won't do it at all" trap that keeps your pipeline stuck
↠ Why aiming for B-minus work is the most underrated productivity hack in sales
↠ The offensive truth: nobody actually notices the difference between your A+ and your B-
↠ Why your B-minus is still higher than most people's standard
↠ Time boxing 2.0: deciding in advance exactly how long a task gets before you start
↠ Why traditional time boxing fails and what to do instead
↠ The visual timer trick that helps ADHD brains finally feel time passing
↠ How to identify the fear underneath your perfectionism (hint: it's usually fraud-fear)
↠ The mantra that changes everything: done is better than perfect
↠ Passive action vs. massive action and why shipping imperfect work is the only way to get real data
↠ Why high achievers confuse polish with progress
