God wants us to take a good look at our hearts. Why is that? Because the heart presents the center of our being- its the source of desires and decisions. Its important that for us to align with what God is doing in this season of our lives- we must not allow anything to come into or flow out of our hearts that is not pleasing to God and wont help us on our spiritual growth. So we need to guard what we listen to, what we watch, what we read, what we talk and think about. We need to understand that images and ideas can take root in our hearts if we are not careful of what we allow_ if we are not careful this can affect the type of people we become.

As believers we need a clear understanding of what it means to follow Jesus. Its unfortunate that the lives of some who profess to follow Christ look no different from the lives of unbelievers. You find that some want a faith that comforts and satisfies, but not necessarily one that transforms and calls for radical obedience.

God’s desire for us as His people is for us to be growing, advancing, and moving from one level of grace to the next- one level of victory to another.  We can’t be static or stationary with our journey with God. As Christians and as a Church we are to grow from glory to glory and from faith to faith.
