Esther is a wildly entertaining story about How God moves on the stage of history to enact His plan of rescue, redemption, and reversal. It's a story of God is moving pieces on the chessboard even when we cannot see the strategy, and He is multiple moves ahead. On the surface, this is a story about surviving when you are powerless against the plots of those who have all the power. And yet, the machinations and plans of evil are reversed by the moves of Divine Providence.

Our addiction to winning can cause us to overlook ugly pride in our own hearts and in our leaders. The Way of Jesus calls us to live a life poured out for others in humble service. We need to embrace humility in our public discourse, in our private attitudes, and in our love for our neighbors.

Is there a better way? Can we disagree with someone ideologically AND love them unconditionally? If you follow the Way of Jesus, you are uniquely positioned to model for others how to approach disagreements in a way that builds community and reveals God’s heart toward people. We can build bigger tables and see people to be loved and not just positions to be debated.

What are you known for? Jesus gave a definitive answer for followers of Jesus - His dream was that believers would be known for selfless, unconditional, love in action. The church desperately needs to reclaim this identity from the cultural noise.

What if there was a source of life, meaning, vitality, and significance that did not fail? Jesus claimed that sustained connection with Him produces true life and spiritual fruit.

Now that we are back to school, how do we make this year different from every other year? Maybe for you the temperature of this time is overwhelm; it is struggle, it is surviving the days. There is a different approach. The approach is to live a life full of days, not just surviving the days. This will not happen by default; it is only available by design!

It is one of the most controversial and least popular claims of Jesus: He claimed not to be a way to God, but THE Way to God. Is this claim intolerant, arrogant, and even harmful? Or is it truth that leads to freedom and life?

If you want to truly know Jesus, the raising of Lazarus is one of the best places to start. In one story, Jesus shows the depth and pain of humanity and the majesty and power of Divinity. What does it mean for Jesus to be the resurrection and the life?

Jesus made a profound claim about himself: "I am the Good Shepherd." What does it look like to trust His care, leadership, and guidance?

What did He mean when Jesus claimed to be the Gate that protects the flock? Terraforma Elder Robert Hauge shares from his heart about trusting Jesus as a source of access and protection.

Jesus claimed to be the Light of the World, a source of revelation and illumination that chases away the darkness. What does it mean to walk in His light?

Jesus made the audacious claim that your deepest desires and ultimate appetites will find complete fulfillment in Him. What does it look like to hunger for Jesus in our modern culture?

As James wraps up his letter, he reminds believers that authentic faith lives with integrity and expectation in the "meantime." How can we be faithful while we wait for the justice and restoration that are coming into this present reality with God's Kingdom?

Humility is a posture of the heart that acknowledges the greatness of God and the limit of my own ability. Pride keeps God at a distance, humility invites God's grace near.

James reminds us to consider the power of our words. Our words have the power to build up or burn down, to frustrate or to bring clarity. Careless words can harm while intentional words can bring healing.
