After besmirching the good name of an esteemed pilot for the Rebellion, Mike and Isaiah discuss flyers a bit more: JUST HOW ARE THEY GONNA WORK ANYWAY?! Mike then makes the case that he may have found a Mando list he likes even more than Bo Watch...which didn't stop it from running into a teensy weensy spider that gave it trouble! Then, the boys talk about the next round of home-brewed Battle Forces they've been cooking up. We're working on a way to visualize and publish these Battle Forces so you can try them out, more on that next time! 00:00 Introduction 05:58 More Flyer Talk 35:59 Mike Goes To a Local with Mandos 46:10 Homegrown Battle Forces: The Droid Automation Initiative Battle Force 01:20:58 Homegrown Battle Forces: Deep Cover Cell 02:11:50 Future Battle Forces We are now sponsored by: Legion Terrain: Check out the terrain they sent us at https://www.legionterrain.com/collections/ice-planet Game Toppers: Making industrial-quality gaming-focused toppers that turn any table into a gamer's haven. Mike returns to us as we discuss Han and Chewie and ask the "tough" question: what does tough mean? Luckily it turns out that Mike's guess was completely right which saves me from having to apologize now that the Scene to Stats actually came out to confirm that. We also cover Tacticon and the Australia "Ashes" GT, as well as cover some STATS: can the mercs be stopped?! We end things with a "very special" message from Evan and our most emotionally abused member of the cast, C3-LP. 00:00 Intro and Zero Company Talk 11:25 Han Solo and Chewbacca Expansion Discussion 01:00:01 Chopper Base Open 01:15:44 Tacticon Tournament Results 02:07:19 A "Very Special" Announcement and C3-LP Rises from the Ashes GT: https://www.longshanks.org/event/35211/ Tacticon: https://www.longshanks.org/event/36519/ Also, want to shout out to New England Legion players that the Mayflower Mayhem event happens on Sunday 9/20 in Plymouth, MA. FORMER World Champion Isaiah Wallace once again joins Mike and I to help us preview both Trench and the B2 Super Rocket Battle Droids. He then tells Mike and I why we're WRONG (but not really that wrong) about the about-to-be-released Jedi Council pack and then regales us with some tales of his local legioning. Finally, Mike asks C3-LP which unit will be next to get jetpacks, and the answer will DEFINITELY surprise you. 00:00 Introduction and Agenda Setting 07:45 Admiral Trench Preview 36:53 B2 Super Rocket Battle Droids Preview 45:38 Initial Impressions of B2 Super Rocket Droids 01:00:19 Forum Ruling Corner 01:09:52 Revisiting the Jedi Council 01:29:31 Local Tourney Talk With Isaiah 02:00:00 C3-LP: Clanker Content Creation for Lazy Podcasters Isaiah's Two Tournaments: Blue Sky - https://www.longshanks.org/event/36652/ Zulus - https://www.longshanks.org/event/36006/ We are now sponsored by: Legion Terrain: Check out the terrain they sent me at https://www.legionterrain.com/collections/ice-planet Game Toppers: Making industrial-quality gaming-focused toppers that turn any table into a gamer's haven. Brian Baer is here and he makes everything terrible. After some fun speculation about a future release that could be BIGGER (?!) than Mandos, Brian quickly injects his trademark toxicity and makes the usual hosts feel terrible about a variety of things. Is Mike capable of being the voice of reason? (I guess) Is Evan being too hyperbolic about the state of Rebel lists? (No) Is Brian capable of any human interaction that doesn't involve menacing? We're back already because Upgrade Pack 2 was revealed earlier than expected! Mike and Evan start with a deep discussion on Fire Control, a new upgrade that will likely be taken by the majority of Legion lists in the game, and try to figure out what that will mean. We then cover the remaining upgrades, which run the gamut between auto-includes, never-includes, and one that references rules that don't even exist yet! And do we have takes? Mike, who is a no-fun DM that will actively prevent you from carrying 15 sets of plate armor around, chats with Evan about a boatload of topics. We cover our latest thoughts on the world cup, books, and Maul: Shadow Lord and yet still MOSTLY spend our time talking about Legion. A surprise new unit! Terrain guidance!....?
