Week Twelve - The Final
2025/04/27
The team at Can I Just Say join together to say a huge congratulations not only to Dean, but also the splendid cast of Glasgow’s amateur Les Mis. Join us for the finale ep as we call for increased funding for whimsy, condemn a brand new enemy of the pod and say goodbye for now. How much bigger can we get? Next year - Obama!
Weeks Ten & Eleven - Fashion / Interviews
2025/04/12
It’s a double stuffing of episodes this week and so much to take in as Jordan ends toxic masculinity, our least favourite prop comic Mike Souter returns and the Can I Just Say Team once again plead with the candidates to know their Scottish history, particularly vis a vis men in skirts.
Week Nine - TV Selling
2025/03/29
Thank you Margaret! TV selling this week, Mia’s favourite task at least - our names are Gemma, Siobhain and Stu by the way - and we’re back on the mic to discuss dress down Sugar, miracle gloves and Maximum English.
Week Eight - Hot Sauce
2025/03/23
It’s a double stuffing and no treat this week as we unexpectedly hear all about Melica’s GCSE in drama and welcome back Levi Roots to the sauce conversation. Listeners can play along with the now weekly segment ‘did you know this person is absolutely jacked’, as we come to terms with one of the candidates having a secret mahogany tan and back muscles.
Week Seven - Kids' Banking
2025/03/17
Kaching! It’s double stuffing week on the Apprentice, so the CIJS team are here to say RIP to the tall confirmed shagger that we all know quite highly about and Ciao to the young Italiano bambino with a simple dream of greater childhood financial literacy.
Week Six - Turkey Corporate Hospitality
2025/03/11
The CIJS gang have been called away on urgent business: to jump on the mic to discuss corporate away day week. Amongst other burning questions we ask what is the best way to celebrate 14 years of Vodaphone? Do we prefer green or black olives? and would Bami be able to dress appropriately for the Türkiye heat? All that and more on this week’s ep
Week Five - Easter Eggs
2025/03/06
The Can I Just Say team are face to face with a historic enemy of the pod this week (that listeners all know quite highly about). Meanwhile the Apprentice candidates try to inject a bit of bloody kindness back into Easter with help from a Russian-American man who is watching you from space.
Week Four - Crops to Cash
2025/02/23
It’s tomatoes v potatoes this week on the Apprentice as we enjoy a historic flame-out by Nadz. Join the CIJS team as we get emotional watching a rarely-seen legitimate business success and a beautiful throwback to the Old Country courtesy of the good people at Zizzi. Additional viewing: Neville Southall has a pop at Michael Owen
Week Three - Discount Buying
2025/02/17
It’s time for the iconic episode where Apprentice candidates run around a town with a paper map ripping rhubarb out of Shakespearean soil, so enjoy listeners as we once again call for dignity and say a fond farewell to Carlo.
Week Two - Virtual Pop Star
2025/02/13
Can I Just Say is just about back to its regularly scheduled programming after the great Spotify curse and thank GOD given the episode we were handed by the business gods this week. ALL THREE reconvene to have a wide-ranging discussion taking in Abba Voyage, Amy Ansell and Tracey Beaker but really we couldn’t stop talking about the newest entry into the Apprentice character canon: BAMI. Enjoy.
A Quick Disclaimer Ahead of Series 19!
2025/02/10
We're back, thanks for bearing with us!
Week One - Austria Tourism
2025/02/10
After being SILENCED by our mainstream media hosting platform for well over a week (read: having very on-brand technical difficulties) Can I Just Say is back! Gemma, Siobhain and Stu return due to public demand to cover The Apprentice series 19. In ep 1 as the candidates take to the slopes in Austria, we take to the mic to discuss hats, which contestant we think may be an alien and dig into an ALLEGED rumour that might be a huge scoop (but also might be something we’ve covered on the pod before, we can’t remember). Very much business as usual for ALL THREE as we back reference 8 year old bits, forget every contestant’s name and salivate at the prospect of a 3D AI generated Lord Alan coming in ep 2. Always Can I Just Say? Definitely Cool. Stu would like to give a huge shoutout to now friend of the pod "Kathleen D." from 'Spotify For Creators' customer support messaging service team for solving all our problems, it was great spending a Monday afternoon really getting to know one another. Anyway, enjoy the pod - hopefully we'll be back on schedule soon to cover the rest of the series.
Week Twelve - The Final
2024/04/22
It’s the final episode so ALL THREE of the Can I Just Say Team are here to discuss the merits of piesonline versus a northern nightclub gym metaverse. Great to see the return of former candidates, allowing opportunities for the mention of multiple directors as well as one final shout out to Apprentice main character Steven Spielsberg.
Week Eleven - Interviews
2024/04/18
ALL THREE hosts return this week to grill the interviewers grilling the contestants on their business plans (strictly WITHOUT props). This week’s pod is best enjoyed by printing out the transcript, making a jazzy cover for it on Canva and reading whilst preparing a smoothie or on a treadmill.
Weeks Nine and Ten - TV Selling / Vegan Alternative to Cheese
2024/04/15
We're back with a double stuffing special covering ALL TWO of the episodes we’ve not yet discussed. Sadly no G this week but Sio and Stu are holding it down as they analyse two eps that prove Lord Sugar is still at the precipice of cutting edge innovations - making vegan cheese and trying to sell paddling pools on live telly. Much love to all of our cherished listeners who are always cool, not definitely Japanese.
