Invincible is an animated superhero series created by Robert Kirkman for the streaming service Amazon Prime Video, based on the comic book series he co-created with Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. Season four picks up right after season 3 and involves the return of his father, Omni-Man, from exile. Mark is thrust into a galactic war while juggling his home life and the fallout from season three. Luke Spear returns to the podcast. He reviewed the earlier seasons of Invincible on the show. In this episode, he discusses the impact of Nolan's return, the overall storytelling, and whether the show's violence is gratuitous. Acclaimed actor and voice actor Clancy Brown has been prolific in films and television since the 1980s. In the superhero genre, he is perhaps best known as the voice of Lex Luthor from Superman: The Animated Series and subsequent shows in the DC animated universe. Film credits include The Shawshank Redemption, Starship Troopers, The Express, Promising Young Woman, and John Wick: Chapter 4. On television, he was in The Penguin, Gen V, The Flash, Daredevil, The Punisher, The Mandalorian, and Billions. Voice roles in addition to Luthor include Mr. Krabs in SSpongeBob SquarePants Gargoyles, Spider-Man, Batman Beyond, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Rick & Morty. These are just a fraction of the many roles in this iconic career. In this episode, Brown discusses auditioning for Superman and being cast as Lex Luthor. Michael McCuistion, Lolita Ritmanis, and Kristopher Carter, collectively known as Dynamic Music Partners, have created music for a variety of different genres, including TV series, independent films, video games, and live performance events. They have all won individual awards, but collectively, they have earned 28 Emmy Award nominations and 6 Annie Award nominations as composers for Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, Batman: The Brave And The Bold, Justice League, Teen Titans, Batman Beyond, The Zeta Project, and The New Batman Superman Adventures. Kristopher Carter has been on this show before. Back in 2015, Episode 20, Carter came on the podcast to discuss his career. He teased that he would return with Michael and Lolita, and he made good on that promise in this episode. Topics include: how they got their start, the process of scoring animation. They also discuss great moments in the DC animated universe, including working on the Batman and Superman animated series in the 1990s. They also discuss how the late composer Shirley Walker hired them and introduced them into the superhero world. 453. Voiceover Artist Cam Clarke ( TMNT, He-Man)

Iconic voice actor Cam Clarke makes his second appearance on the show. His first was with his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle co-stars Barry Gordon, Rob Paulsen, and Townsend Coleman (Episode 148). Clarke began his career at six years old on TV’s The King Family Show. Cam’s solo career began in the early 1980s, and he quickly became a prolific voice-over actor, lending his voice to numerous animated series and video games. His most famous role is Leonardo in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He is the favorite villain of numerous fans as Liquid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid games. Other roles include He-Man in the 2002 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Kaneda in the anime classic Akira, Max Sterling in Robotech, the tween idol Heath Burns in the original Monster High, and, continuing a legacy, Simba in The Lion King franchise. He comes from a family that has been in the entertainment business for over 100 years. He chronicles his family's incredible history in a new book, “Now They’re All Here, Over 100 Years of Entertainment From America’s First Family of Song.” The King Family has been performing together (and with solo careers) since the 1920s: vaudeville, radio, musical films of the 1940s, kitschy sci-fi from the 1950s, tours across the country, recordings in musical genres from jazz and big band to Broadway and pop, even cartoons and video games. In this episode, Clarke discusses his family’s rich entertainment heritage and how the book tells those stories. 452. Introducing the '90 Captain America Director’s Cut

In 1990, director Albert Pyun created Captain America, a direct-to-video film based on the Marvel Comics character. It stars Matt Salinger as Steve Rogers/Captain America and Scott Paulin as the Red Skull. Menahem Golan produced the film for the now-defunct 21st Century Film Corporation. The director Pyun said that the 21st Century Film Corporation had chopped the film down before release and that he had a longer “director’s cut” of the movie, which sat in a closet until Pyun died in 2022. The film has since been remastered and newly released. Kenny Williams runs Yippee Ki-Yay Mother Video, who has released this director’s cut of Albert Pyun’s Captain America. Kenny was a protégé of Pyun and is carrying on his legacy. In this episode, Williams discusses the value of physical media and the impact Pyun had on his film aspirations. 451. Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man REVIEW (SPOILERS)

Wonder Man is the latest entry into Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It stars Yaha Addul Matteen as Simon Williams, an actor who auditions for a Wonder Man feature film. Ben Kingsley reprises his role as Trevor Slattery, a fellow actor and associate of Simon's. Slattery made his debut in Iron Man 3, where he "impersonated" a terrorist known as the Mandarin. In the Marvel One-Shot "All Hail the King," the 10 Rings break Slattery out of prison to kill him. He ends up playing a key role in the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This show takes place after that film. Eddie Pence is a stand-up comedian and podcaster. He is the co-host of the Ralph Report with Ralph Garman. He also hosts "The Ramble" with comedian Jerry Rocha and "Not Today…" with Jenn Sterger.  In this episode, Eddie explains how the show relates to him as an actor. They meet Eleven, a young girl with special abilities. They inadvertently create an alternate reality called the Upside Down. It was created by the Duffer Brothers and combined 80s icons like Winona Ryder with young stars Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, and many more. Lee Elias rejoins the show to review the series, paying particular attention to the fifth season. They discuss all the ongoing storylines and pop culture references. 446. Gen V, Season 2 REVIEW (SPOILERS)

The Boys spinoff series, Gen V, recently completed its second season. For continuity, it takes place after the events of season four of The Boys. After season one, actor Chance Perdomo died tragically in a horrible motorcycle accident. From the beginning of season two, the storyline incorporated the death of Perdomo's character, Andre, in a uniquely and creatively compelling way. The storyline seems wrapped up and sets up the final season of the Boys, coming soon. The plot of season two is loosely based on the comic book story arc "We Gotta Go Now" by Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and John Higgins.  Luke Spear of WBZ Radio in Boston joined the show to review Gen V season two. Wednesday is a spin-off of the Addams Family franchise. It stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, the daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams. The original Addams Family aired from 1964 to 1966 and was based on a comic strip by creator Charles Addams. Two feature films based on the Addams Family were released in 1991 and 1993. Two animated features were released in 2019 and 2021. Director Tim Burton directs select episodes. The show is created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who also served as showrunners of the hit series Smallville. They also wrote the Marvel feature Spider-Man 2 in 2004. Ralph Garman, who hosts the daily podcast The Ralph Report and is an actor/voice actor, returns to the show to review Wednesday. For 20 years, Ralph was a featured announcer on KROQ. In this episode, Ralph discusses his affinity for the Addams Family source material. They also address the connections Wednesday has with Smallville. The praise various cast members and discuss casting options. 443. Nhut Le (Judomaster from Peacemaker)

One of the scene-stealing characters in both seasons of the hit DC Studios show Peacemaker has been Judomaster. Nhut Le plays Judomaster and joins the show. Judomaster is described as a martial arts-based bodyguard who has a vendetta against Peacemaker and John Economos, played by John Cena and Steve Agee, respectively. In season two, Judomaster plays an increased role in the development of the story. He has some incredible scenes with Cena and Daniele Brooks, who plays Leota Adebayo. Le was born in Vietnam but came to America when he was six years old. His first film role was in the 2013 martial arts comedy film Martial Science. He also appeared in the hit TV show Kroll Show. In this episode, Nhut discusses his upbringing and the reaction to his appearance in the Peacemaker series. He discusses working with James Gunn and the cast. Peacemaker is a spin-off series of the 2021 DC film The Suicide Squad. It is written and directed by James Gunn, who along with Peter Safran run the new DC Studios. Season two aired in 2025 on HBO Max. It stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, and Robert Patrick.  Season two is part of a soft reboot of the DC Universe. Season one took place in the DCEU (or “Snyder-Verse”). After the reboot, Gunn retconned scenes from season one and changed them to fit with the new “DC Studios.” Season two is the third release in the new continuity following 2025’s Creature Commandos and Superman film. Confused? Hopefully, this episode explains it all. Comedian and podcaster Eddie Pence rejoins the show to discuss Peacemaker and the decisions to alter continuity to fit this new narrative. They also talk about the impending sale of Warner Bros.
