Sincerely, Sumayah — Why You're Not Healing
2025/11/17
When you are doing all of the obvious things and still not getting your prayers answered or receiving the healing you are hoping for: What's going on?
This episode is tough love and some hard things to hear, but the aim is to get you to make a decision on where you're headed and what you actually want.
Are you ready to fully devote yourself to seeking the nearness of your Rabb and commit to the path or not?
Sincerely, Sumayah — Consistency, Mindset & Letting Allah Choose

I realise I haven't touched base with you guys in a little while. On a day-to-day basis I'm doing what most of you are probably doing: juggling my commitments, working, momming and trying my best to hold on to my wird. Alhamdulillah for what Allah (awj) allows us to do.
I want to thank the paid subscribers on Substack and tell you guys that you have a home in my duas. I'm aware 6 bucks/quid isn't crazy for most—could be a huge deal for some, but I'm not just talking about the £6.
For me it's the spirit of generosity and support that you guys approach my work with and the encouragement and energy you bring to this community is priceless.
I hear your gentle nudges to keep PUBLISHING NEW EPISODES!!!!! I hear them loud and clear!
For the ladies who’ve bought me coffees I see you and appreciate you. You guys are an Ayah of Allah's mercy, and to me, you are one more way He’s blessing me and taking care of me. I thank Him (swt) for all of you.
May Allah take the best care of you and continue to use you for Khair.
Sincerely, Sumayah

Sincerely, Sumayah—Dangerous Times: On Righteousness and Reform
2025/04/06
To be absolved before your Lord
There's a dangerous finality to what's happening in Ghaza right now. The fear is that Allah (awj)'s anger is not far away from descending to affect humanity collectively and those who supported this massacre and injustice specifically.
Civilisations/nations were destroyed for taking part, standing by, and not taking action against the injustice and oppression happening around them. Seeking Allah's forgiveness and calling people back to Allah is the only hope to be spared. It's not a luxury or something extra, it's an absolutely critical, individual obligation right now.
“And your Lord would not have destroyed the cities unjustly while their people were reformers.”
Qur'an (11:117)
Being righteous for yourself is not enough. A reformer is someone who is doing the work on themselves and they are impacting, influencing, reminding, calling those around them to do the same.
You and I will stand in front of Allah to answer for ourselves. I am terrified by this. May Ar-Rahman have mercy on us.
“And when a community among them said, Why do you advise [or warn] a people whom Allāh is [about] to destroy or to punish with a severe punishment? they [the advisors] said, To be absolved before your Lord and perhaps they may fear Him.
And when they [i.e., those advised] forgot that by which they had been reminded, We saved those who had forbidden evil and seized those who wronged, with a Wretched punishment, because they were defiantly disobeying”
Qur'an (7:164-165)

Sincerely Sumayah — Where Allah Wants You to Be
2025/02/24
Allah's plan is perfect. He is teaching us constantly and aligning our affairs in the way that's best for us. Sometimes that doesn't look like what we prayed for. Asking for what's best means staying open to whatever comes, even if it looks like the opposite of what we wanted.
“W Aleikum Assalaam Sis, please be consistent with your Istighfaar and aim for high numbers 30k and above. When you are constantly doing Istighfaar there is little to no time for these thoughts, and even if Shaitan persists with these negative thoughts keep up with your Istighfaar and say it out loud ( loud enough for you to hear it ). You will see with time that these thoughts dissipate. You will also see that your Iman grows stronger with Istighfar.
Istighfaar does internal Cleanse of negative thoughts and Emotions, keep up with it and see the change for your self. May Allah Swt aid you in overcoming these emotions and strengthen your Iman.”

Sincerely, Sumayah — A Lonely Path: One Thing After Another
2024/12/07
Allah (awj) knows what He is doing. You are in good hands, in the best hands.
Keep a notebook/journal or digital record of your answered Duas and all the small miracles that you encounter along the way.
Trust that what's happening in any given moment is the very best outcome that could happen.
It will happen when the time is right.
Allah (awj) is with you.
He heard your Duas. He knows your heart. You are not forgotten. He hears you now and always.

Sincerely, Sumayah — The Challenge of Change & The Power of Tawassul
2024/10/06
We spend so much time trying to change our habits. We start, stop, try, fail and start again. What if there was a way to create a permanent/consistent change? ...without needing to wrestle yourself in the mud.
Talking about Tawassul — the practice of asking Allah with a sincere offering you presented at some point in time, with the hopes of Him answering your desperate Duas in the present.
