RockerMike and Rob Presents: Mad Dog Duce of The Mentors and special guest George Figueroa In 2006 Singer and drummer Mad Dog Duce Marc DeLeon, of the Mentors tribute band The Mantors, replaced Huber and, later, Savage. 2009 saw the release of Ducefixion, their eighth full-length record. The Mentors are an American heavy metal band, known for their deliberate shock rock lyrics. Originally formed in Seattle, Washington in May 1976,[1] they relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1979. The band garnered attention both from noted hard rock acts and pro-censorship movements such as the Parents Music Resource Center,[2] but the death of drummer and lead singer Eldon Hoke ("El Duce") in 1997 brought them unprecedented attention. RockerMike and Rob Presents: Filmmaker April Jones April Jones is a documentary filmmaker whose main body of work covers the underground heavy metal and punk rock music genres. While residing in Portland, OR she ran the public access series Slayed In Oregon. Her most recent work, the full length film The Mentors: Kings of Sleaze Rockumentary, was released in 2018. During her initial years in the film industry, Jones launched her career by creating handmade props and scenic art, which led to set dressing and art directing many commercials and music videos. She has had the opportunity to work with various notable productions, such as, Portlandia, Little People Big World, Red Bull, Kleenex, Mazda, Google, Green Room, Intel Corp., and more. Jones was awarded the TalNexus Unscripted Film Lab grant in early 2019. This grant will be supporting her upcoming project, a film that documents the do-it-yourself skateboard culture and the associated legal conflicts. Frank Secich is an American rock musician, songwriter, author and record producer. He was the bass player and founding member of the group Blue Ash from 1969 to 1979 and guitarist and bassist for the Stiv Bators band from 1979 until 1981. He played in the Cleveland-based group Club Wow with Jimmy Zero of the Dead Boys from 1982 to 1985 and produced the Ohio band the Infidels from 1985 to 1990. He is currently the rhythm guitarist for the Deadbeat Poets who were formed in 2006 in Youngstown, Ohio. Frank Secich's autobiography "Circumstantial Evidence" was published by High Voltage Publishing of Australia in 2015. His second book "Not That Way Anymore" was published in November of 2023 by High Voltage Publishing.
