Living the Good Life
2026/09/27
Week 5: How Do I Know What to Do? 9/27/2026 Main Passage: Romans 12:1–2 Living a Christ-centered life is simple: obey what you already know and keep your heart open to His leading. Discernment grows as your mind is renewed, and daily obedience brings joy to God.

Week 4: What is Required to Please Him? 9/20/2026 Main Passage: Hebrews 11:6 Pleasing God requires faith.  This requires trusting Him in active obedience, not simply lip service.  How do we live in active faith daily?

Week 3: Is It Possible to Please God? 9/13/2026 Main Passage: Colossians 1:9–14 We often assume we are too flawed to ever please God, but Scripture teaches that pleasing Him is both possible and expected. God is already at work in us, and we please Him as we grow, not only when we are perfected.

Week 1: Who Are You Trying to Please? 8/30/2026 Main Passage: 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 Who are we trying to please in life?  We all start by trying to please ourselves by default.  But paradoxically this doesn’t actually lead to a joyful life.  Instead, we should learn to live for the One who made us, loves us, and saves us.  Living to please the Lord actually gives us the life we were created for.

Don't Forget...
2026/08/16
Title: Don’t Forget… Main Passage: Deuteronomy Before the Israelites finally enter the Promise Land the Lord reminds them of all that He’s taught them.  If they are to prosper then they must remember the Law and how to live as God’s people.  Do that, and blessings are sure to follow!  But forget the Lord and His ways and curses will ruin everything.  We, too must always return to listen to God’s ways if we are to obey, be fruitful, and bless those around us.
Grace for Donkeys
2026/08/03
Main Passage: Numbers 22-25 The story of Balaam is a strange one.  God speaks through a donkey to get his attention!  The stranger part is that Balaam still had trouble deciding whether He would follow the Lord or chase after the world.  God asks us too whether we will be a blessing or a curse to those around us.

Look to Jesus
2026/07/26
Title:  Look to Jesus Main Passage: Numbers 21 The Israelites were incredibly prone to grumbling and complaining.  They looked to material things instead of to the Lord for comfort and aid.  And so the Lord lifted up a snake in the wilderness to teach them again about faith.  Jesus too would be lifted up and we are called to look to Him, and Him alone, for salvation.
The Perils of Pride and Frustration
2026/07/19
Title: The Perils of Pride and Frustration Main Passage: Numbers 20 Moses was described as the most humble man on earth during his life. But no one is perfect.  Towards the end of Moses’ life he will give in to pride and frustration as he strikes a rock to provide water.  It may have seemed like a little thing but it wasn’t.  Regardless of how long we have followed and served the Lord we must always be alive to these dangers as no one is immune.
Who's The Boss
2026/07/12
Title: Who’s the Boss? Main Passage: Numbers 12,16 Moses was a revered leader.  But no one is universally loved. During the wilderness wandering there were at least two major challenges to Moses’ authority.  How do we deal with disagreements with leadership?  And how should we respond when we are in Moses’ shoes?
Anyone Can Come to Jesus
2026/07/05
Guest Speaker Isaac Adams of Iron City Church, Birmingham, Alabama John 6:37 1 Samuel 22:2 Anyone can come to Jesus Different people will come to Jesus You can come to Jesus. And you should.

Fear has Consequences
2026/06/21
This week we move into the book of Numbers.  The Israelites had been led to the edge of the Promised Land but they were hesitant to enter it.  After the report of the spies the choose their fear over faith in the Lord.  The result was a diversion back into the wilderness for the next 40 years.  Failing to follow the Lord in faith has consequences.
