This session brought together a couple of rowdy seniors. A conversation that started with bad taxi stories led to memories of Diva, talk about gun safety legislation, jealousy, insecurity and American's achilles heal, white supremacy. Take a listen. 

Jasmine and Rikkilynn joined the RS'ers for a lively conversation that started with examples of kindness and evolved to a robust discussion. Lots of laughs and stories shared intergenerationally. 

This week, the RS'ers were joined by Rikkilynn and Will, two members of Curry Senior Center's staff. The episode starts with a lively discussion of affordable housing versus low-income housing and that led to stories about the politics of the neighborhood between vigiliante and police officers and the absence of community. We ended on a high note with MJ sharing some wisdom: Remember, you are worthy. We are all worthy and we all have skills to contribute to humanity. 

MJ has a storied history, so when the opportunity arises to sit and listen, it's always enjoyable. This session was another chance to sit down, keep quiet and learn something. I hope you enjoy the musings of a personal history of taking care of community regardless of the expense.

Our Revolters are back after nearly two months. In this return, they had plenty to say about San Francisco's recent lift of the mask and proof of vaccination mandate as well as Sen. Romney's reintroduction of the Time to Rescue US Trusts (TRUST) Act, which would change Social Security/Medicare, and whether Daylight Savings should be abolished. Tune in and learn something from the folks that've gained wisdom while living their lives.

Today MJ and Andrea discuss their experience appearing on a panel that addressed issues affecting the Black LGBTQ community; Andrea discussed her ongoing work for her book: "How Trans Women Changed the World."  And the rest of us join them in discussing various other hot issues of the day.

Joel, MJ, CJ, Manuel and Jamal have a conversation about the real possibility that after Roe v. Wade is overturned LGBTQ rights and including same-sex marriage could be next on the chopping block.
