Nick Wize and Tim cover a packed Friday edition of The Nick Wize Show, starting with the Rays’ upcoming ALDS showdown against the Yankees and asking Tampa Bay fans to rate their confidence from 1–5 before debating whether the long layoff could leave the bats rusty. Nick hears from listeners about the Rays’ chances, discusses Drew Rasmussen’s importance and the need for Tampa Bay fans to create a true home-field advantage, including his plea not to sell tickets to Yankees fans. The guys also have some fun with the Rays’ $119 18-ounce tomahawk ribeye before Nick defends Rays fans against national criticism. On the Bucs, Nick delivers breaking injury news ahead of Green Bay, speaks with Packers insider Marques Eversoll about Jordan Love, Matt LaFleur, Green Bay’s strengths and weaknesses, and where Tampa Bay can attack, before making his own Bucs-Packers prediction. Plus, Florida RB Jadan Baugh joins Nick to discuss his breakout season, Buster Faulkner, playing in The Swamp, overcoming pregame nerves through Gospel music and faith, and Florida’s dominant rushing performance against Ole Miss.

Nick Wize and Tim break down another loaded edition of Nick’s Picks, making their selections against the spread across college football and the NFL. The guys tackle Alabama at Mississippi State, Florida at Missouri, Florida State at Virginia, Ohio State at Iowa and Miami at Clemson before moving to the NFL slate featuring Rams-Eagles, Jaguars-Bengals, Cowboys-Texans, Patriots-Bills, Lions-Panthers and Falcons-Saints. Nick and Tim reveal which teams they’re backing, where they’re taking the points and which favorites they believe can cover.

Nick Wize sits down with Florida Gators running back Jadan Baugh to discuss the story behind his name, playing for Buster Faulkner and what has fueled his outstanding 2026 season. Baugh explains whether he has changed anything from last year to produce at such a high level, opens up about the intensity of The Swamp and admits he was nervous before Florida’s first ranked-on-ranked matchup at home since 2022. Baugh reveals that listening to Gospel music helped calm those nerves before kickoff, but once he stepped onto the field, the nerves disappeared. Jadan also shares his faith and the importance of trusting God before Nick asks whether the Gators’ dominant 302-yard rushing performance made the Ole Miss game feel easy.

Nick Wize and Tim discuss one of the Rays’ wildest playoff offerings: an 18-ounce bone-in tomahawk ribeye that costs $119 and can be served on the bone or cut up. Nick admits he and Tim would absolutely be interested before turning the conversation toward the bigger question surrounding the ALDS: will Rays fans actually outnumber Yankees fans? One caller believes Tampa Bay will be overwhelmed by Yankees supporters, arguing many Rays fans are originally from New York and could simply switch allegiances depending on who is playing. Another listener calls with a completely different message, rallying Rays fans to show up Saturday and turn the stadium into a true home-field advantage.

Nick Wize opens with breaking Buccaneers injury news as Baker Mayfield, Rueben Bain Jr., Benjamin Morrison and Ko Kieft are ruled out for Sunday against the Packers, while Yaya Diaby and Josiah Trotter are expected to play. Nick discusses the Bucs getting value from Morrison despite the cornerback’s injury history before shifting to the Rays, where he responds to criticism from Boomer & Gio about Tampa Bay’s fan base. Nick pushes back on the idea that Rays fans don’t care, arguing that attendance numbers don’t tell the entire story of a fan base’s connection to the team. With the ALDS against the Yankees approaching, Nick has one message for Rays fans: don’t sell your playoff tickets to Yankees fans.

Nick Wize is joined by Marques Eversoll of WDUZ in Green Bay to give Buccaneers fans the Packers perspective heading into Sunday’s matchup. Nick and Marques discuss Green Bay’s offensive line struggles, the true strengths of the Packers, and whether Jordan Love deserves to be viewed among the NFL’s top-paid quarterbacks. They also break down Green Bay’s biggest offensive weapon outside of Love, the Packers’ ability to generate pressure with their front four, what Tampa Bay can do to create problems, the temperature of Matt LaFleur’s seat, and where Marques would attack the Packers if he were game-planning against them.

With the Rays preparing for the ALDS against the Yankees, Nick Wize questions whether Tampa Bay’s bats will be ready to go after the extended break. Nick predicts a potentially slow start offensively but believes the Rays could settle in after a few trips through the lineup. For Tampa Bay to survive that early stretch, Nick hopes Drew Rasmussen delivers an ace-level performance and keeps the game within reach. Nick then opens the phones and reads listener texts, revealing a mix of confidence, optimism and plenty of “cautious optimism” from Rays fans.

Nick Wize opens Friday’s show by asking Tampa Bay Rays fans to rate their confidence from 1–5 heading into the ALDS matchup with the New York Yankees. Nick admits he’s more concerned about the Yankees’ pitching than their bats, especially with the Rays being such a streaky team all season. Nick believes there’s no middle ground for Tampa Bay — it’s either a trip to the World Series or an ALDS exit — and puts his own confidence level at a 3 out of 5. Plus, could the Yankees still be motivated by watching the Rays celebrate their AL East title at Yankee Stadium?
