Ep. 409 - {LIVE} Hormones, Brain Fog & Belly Fat: What Every Woman Over 40 Needs to Know w Dr. Laura DeCesaris
2026/10/09
What if the changes you're experiencing in your 40s aren't signs that something is wrong with you—but signals that your body and your life are asking for something different? This episode of the Hi Felicia Podcast was recorded LIVE at Midlife Awakening in a room filled with women navigating the very real changes that come with this season of life. I sat down with Dr. Laura DeCesaris for an honest, educational and empowering conversation about what really happens to women as we move through our 40s and beyond. We talk hormones, perimenopause, brain fog, muscle, metabolism, peptides, longevity—and something we don't talk about nearly enough: the identity shift that can happen right alongside the physical changes. Because sometimes you're not just wondering, "Why is my body changing?" You're also asking: Who am I now? What do I want? Why don't the things that used to work for me work anymore? And what could this next chapter actually look like? In this episode, we dive into: • What starts changing hormonally in our late 30s and 40s • Why you can have "normal" labs and still not feel like yourself • Brain fog, sleep changes, anxiety, energy and mood • Why muscle becomes one of our greatest assets as we age • Why eating less and doing more cardio isn't always the answer • Protein, resistance training and recovery after 40 • Peptides 101 and why they're getting so much attention • How to think about GLP-1s, NAD and emerging longevity tools • How to separate useful wellness strategies from hype • The questions to ask before exploring optimization therapies • Why high-achieving women may need to rethink the "push through it" mentality • The unexpected identity shift that can happen in midlife • Why your 40s and beyond can become one of the most powerful chapters of your life This conversation is for the woman who knows something is changing—but also has a feeling that maybe she's not falling apart. Maybe she's waking up. Follow Dr. Laura DeCesaris on Instagram: @dr.lauradecesaris And if this episode speaks to you, follow the Hi Felicia Podcast, leave a review, and send this episode to a woman who needs the reminder that her best years aren't behind her. They're still being created.
Ep. 408 - Soul Remembrance: Why Some Messages Make Us Feel Seen w Meghan Stimmel
2026/10/08
What if the most powerful way to grow your business isn't learning another marketing strategy—but learning how to speak from a place so deeply aligned that the right people recognize themselves in your message? In this episode of the Hi Felicia Podcast, I sit down with Meghan Stimmel for a conversation about spirit-led storytelling, prophetic speaking, identity, purpose, and what it really means to create a message that moves people. We dive into the idea of "soul remembrance"—those moments when someone hears your words and something inside of them wakes up. Meghan shares how entrepreneurs, speakers, and creators can stop forcing their messaging and instead use their stories, lived experiences, and intuition to create deeper connection and demand for their work. We talk about selling without feeling like you're constantly selling, owning the message you're here to share, trusting your voice, becoming more visible, and allowing your business to become an extension of who you truly are. In this episode, we talk about: • What spirit-led storytelling actually means • The difference between strategic messaging and soul-led messaging • How storytelling can create connection, trust, and demand • What Meghan means by "prophetic speaking" • Creating soul remembrance in your audience • Selling without constantly feeling like you're selling • Why your lived experiences can become some of your most powerful business assets • Moving beyond fear and fully owning your voice • Infusing your signature talk and offers with deeper meaning • The difference between speaking from ego and speaking from alignment • Living out the vision you feel called toward • Visibility, identity, leadership, and trusting what's next This conversation is for the woman who knows there is something bigger inside of her—but may still be trying to find the words, confidence, or permission to fully express it. Ep. 407 - Get Out of Your Head & Back Into Your Body with Livia Marati
2026/10/06
What if the next level of your healing isn't about doing more… but actually learning how to listen to your body? In this episode of the Hi Felicia Podcast, I sit down with Livia Marati of Aligned by Liv for a conversation about nervous system regulation, embodiment, and why so many high-achieving women can find themselves disconnected from what their bodies are trying to tell them. We live in a world that constantly encourages us to optimize, achieve, push through, and figure everything out in our heads. But what happens when another protocol, morning routine, mindset shift, or wellness hack isn't the answer? Livia shares why the nervous system may be the missing link. We talk about what it means to move out of constant thinking and into sensation, how to recognize the subtle signals your body is sending you, and why tension, fatigue, restlessness, and overwhelm aren't necessarily things to immediately "fix"—they can be information. We also dive into the idea of integration over performance. Instead of turning healing into another thing we have to be good at, Livia shares how small somatic practices, breathwork, time in nature, and moments of intentional awareness can become part of everyday life. In this conversation, we talk about: Why high-achievers can become disconnected from their bodies The nervous system's role in stress, healing, and emotional wellbeing What nervous system regulation actually means How to recognize when your body is asking you to slow down Moving from analyzing emotions to actually feeling them Using tension, fatigue, and restlessness as information Rebuilding trust with your body The difference between practicing wellness and performing wellness Why slowing down doesn't mean giving up your ambition Simple micro-practices that can support regulation in everyday life Creating a life that feels sustainable instead of constantly pushing for more Learning to make decisions from a place of clarity, intuition, and connection This conversation is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the work isn't about becoming a better version of ourselves. Sometimes it's about becoming present enough to hear the version of ourselves that's already there. Ep.406 - What If Your Dreams Are Trying to Tell You Something w Grace Bishara
2026/09/09
What if the hardest chapter of your life wasn't the end of your story…but the beginning of your purpose? In this episode of the Hi Felicia Podcast, I sit down with Grace Bishara, founder of the Becoming Grace Foundation and a nonprofit professional with 10 years of experience in fundraising. Grace shares her inspirational journey of navigating grief, loss, starting over, and ultimately following the dreams and nudges that led her to create the Becoming Grace Foundation. We talk about what it really means to create a life lived with purpose—even when the path looks nothing like you expected. Grace also opens up about her fascinating practice of tracking and interpreting her dreams, the role faith has played in her journey, and how learning to listen to those deeper messages has influenced some of the biggest decisions in her life. And for anyone who has ever dreamed of starting a nonprofit, Grace takes us behind the scenes of building an organization from the grassroots level. We talk fundraising, getting people to believe in your mission, the realities of nonprofit work, and the lessons she wishes she had known when she started. In this episode, we talk about: • Turning grief and loss into purpose • Starting over when life doesn't go according to plan • The story behind the Becoming Grace Foundation • How Grace's dreams helped guide her next chapter • Dream tracking and interpreting recurring themes • The intersection of faith, intuition, and action • What it really takes to start a nonprofit • Grassroots fundraising and building community support • Lessons from 10 years working as a professional fundraiser • Creating a mission people genuinely want to support • Following the dreams and ideas you can't seem to shake • Why your hardest season doesn't have to define the rest of your story This conversation is such a beautiful reminder that sometimes purpose isn't something we magically "find." Sometimes it's created through what we've lived through, what we've lost, what we've learned—and what we're willing to do with it next. If you're in a season of reinvention, starting over, or wondering whether that idea on your heart is worth pursuing, this episode is for you. Ep. 405 - She Lost the Life She Knew… Then Built the One She Actually Wanted w/ Jenny Erickson
2026/09/01
What happens when the life you planned is no longer the life you're living? In this episode of the Hi Felicia Podcast, I sit down with Jenny Erickson for a powerful conversation about grief, reinvention, energy, motherhood, and having the courage to create a life that actually feels like yours. After experiencing the devastating loss of her children's father, Jenny found herself redefining what it meant to be a mother, a woman, and a business owner. Instead of simply trying to rebuild what existed before, she began asking a different question: What do I want my life to look and feel like now? We talk about creating the life you desire in the present moment, aligning your energy with the things you say you want, and simple practices using herbs, teas, and intentional moments to reconnect with yourself. Jenny also shares her decision to dramatically downsize her life, move into a van, and hit the road — and what that experience is teaching her about freedom, fear, possessions, motherhood, and choosing your dreams even when real-life constraints exist. In this episode, we talk about: Creating your dream life without waiting for the "perfect" circumstances What energy alignment actually looks like in everyday life Simple ways to shift your energy in the moment Using herbs and teas as intentional wellness practices Reinventing yourself after profound loss Allowing grief and joy to exist at the same time Why Jenny decided to downsize her life and move into a van Freedom vs. responsibility — and why they don't have to be mutually exclusive Letting go of the version of life you thought you were supposed to have Making bold choices when there are still very real constraints Giving yourself permission to want something different This conversation is a reminder that reinvention doesn't always begin because you're ready. Sometimes life changes the plan for you. And sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is decide what you want to create from here. Ep. 404 - When Beauty Becomes Toxic: One Woman's Wake-Up Call w Lindsaya
2026/07/13
What if the very things we've been told will make us feel more beautiful are actually costing us our health, confidence, and connection to ourselves? In this eye-opening conversation, I sit down with holistic wellness advocate and beauty industry veteran Lindsaya, who spent nearly 25 years immersed in the beauty world before her own health crisis forced her to question everything she believed about beauty, self-worth, and wellness. Together, we explore the hidden toxicity within the beauty industry, the emotional reasons so many women feel compelled to "fix" themselves, and why true confidence can never be purchased through external enhancements. This conversation isn't about fear or shame—it's about awareness, empowerment, and learning to make decisions from a place of self-love instead of self-criticism. In this episode, we discuss: Lindsaya's personal health journey and the wake-up call that changed everything The hidden toxins many women unknowingly expose themselves to The connection between beauty standards and self-worth Why external beauty can never replace inner healing How to begin creating a healthier, more intentional beauty routine Practical ways to cultivate genuine self-love What holistic wellness really looks like beyond trends Whether you've had beauty treatments, are considering them, or simply want a healthier relationship with yourself, this episode offers a refreshing perspective on what it truly means to feel beautiful. Ep. 403 - Stop Creating More Content: The Predictable Lead Strategy Nobody Talks About w Tianna Mamalick
2026/06/16
What if the answer isn't creating more content? In today's episode, I sit down with Tianna Mamalick, marketing strategist, founder of SMB Marketing School, and an expert in helping service-based businesses generate predictable leads through paid ads and SEO. This conversation is a refreshing reality check for entrepreneurs who feel exhausted trying to keep up with social media, constantly creating content, and chasing visibility. We dive into the idea that many of our goals, to-do lists, and even business strategies may be rooted in old conditioning rather than true alignment. Tianna shares why more content isn't always the answer, how to build a business that doesn't depend on you being online 24/7, and what it really takes to create sustainable growth in different seasons of life and business. If you've ever wondered whether there's a better way to grow your business without burnout, this episode is for you. In This Episode We Discuss: Why so many goals and business habits may be trauma responses The hidden cost of being "always on" How social media became the default marketing strategy for most entrepreneurs Creating predictable lead generation outside of social media Why paid ads and SEO can create long-term business stability The importance of preparing your business for seasons when you can't be as visible Why saying one thing 100 times is more effective than saying 100 different things The difference between being busy and actually moving the needle How to build a business that supports your life, not consumes it Connect with Tianna: Instagram: @smbmarketingschool Connect with Felicia: Instagram: @feliciaromero Enjoying the Podcast? In this week's episode of the Hi Felicia Podcast, I sit down with energy healer, Reiki practitioner, and intuitive guide Stefanie Ruth for a powerful conversation about intuition, energetic alignment, spiritual growth, and learning to trust yourself on a deeper level. Stefanie shares her personal healing journey and how discovering Reiki helped her overcome health challenges, reconnect with her intuition, and unlock gifts she didn't fully understand she possessed. What began as a path toward healing eventually became a calling to help other women strengthen their intuition, clear energetic blocks, and create more peace, abundance, and alignment in their lives. Whether you're new to spirituality or have been on your own personal growth journey for years, this episode offers practical insights and an empowering reminder that your intuition is one of the most valuable tools you have. Ep. 401 - The Hidden Reason So Many Women Feel Disconnected From Their Bodies w Jenny Cohen
2026/05/30
Some conversations hit differently, and this is one of them. On today's episode of the Hi Felicia Podcast, I sit down with Jenny C. Cohen, embodiment mentor, dancer, breast cancer survivor, mother, and someone who has turned some of life's deepest pain into purpose. Jenny shares a perspective that may stop you in your tracks: being diagnosed with breast cancer was one of the best things that happened to her. Not because of the pain or the struggle, but because of what it woke up inside of her. We dive into her journey through breast cancer, trauma, IVF, motherhood, and supporting her children through unimaginable challenges, including mental health struggles and recovery. Through it all, Jenny continued to come back to one thing: movement. We talk about why dance is more than movement. It is healing. It is expression. It is connection. It is remembering who you are. Ep. 400 - From Burnout to Freedom: How She Bought Back Her Time w/ Kieryn Wang
2026/05/28
What if success wasn't about grinding harder… but about creating systems that give you your time back? In today's episode of the Hi Felicia Podcast, I sit down with Kieryn Wang, email marketing strategist and founder of ALLMOST, to talk about something so many high achievers quietly struggle with: burnout. Kieryn shares her journey from working long hours in a demanding startup environment, to freelancing, to realizing she had simply recreated the same cycle in a different package. The turning point came when she recognized that she had spent years helping brands build systems that allowed them to operate efficiently and generate revenue even when they weren't actively working. That led to a big question: If systems can create freedom for businesses, why can't they create freedom in life too? Fast forward to today and Kieryn has intentionally designed a business and lifestyle that allows her to work less than 10 hours a week while running a multi-six-figure business and traveling the world. We talk about: ✨ Why hustle culture may be keeping you stuck ✨ The mindset shifts that helped her move from burnout to thriving ✨ How systems can buy back your time ✨ Knowing when to delegate and let go of control ✨ Redefining success on your own terms ✨ How email marketing still creates massive business growth ✨ Tips for becoming a digital nomad ✨ The personal habits and routines that transformed her life If you've ever felt exhausted from doing all the things, people-pleasing, or believing success requires sacrifice, this episode is for you. Ep. 399- The Secret To Lasting Change Has Nothing To Do With Willpower w Carla Birnberg
2026/05/26
This week on the Hi Felicia Podcast, I sit down with Carla Birnberg for a conversation that felt like a permission slip so many of us need. If you've ever found yourself saying: "Why can I stay on track for a few weeks and then fall off?" "Why do I keep starting over every Monday?" "Why does motivation work for everyone except me?" ...this episode is for you. Carla has spent decades studying consistency, habits, and behavior change, and she shares why so many people are stuck in cycles of burnout, perfectionism, and all-or-nothing thinking. We unpack: • Why intensity is overrated and identity matters more • What the wellness industry got wrong about motivation • Why willpower is not the answer • How diet culture conditioned us to chase short-term results • Why streak culture can backfire • The small daily choices that actually create sustainable change • How to rebuild trust with yourself in midlife • What consistency really looks like when life gets messy This episode is a reminder that transformation isn't built in one big moment. It's built in the quiet choices we repeat over and over. If this episode spoke to you, take a screenshot and share it to your Instagram stories and tag us so we can repost and connect with you. Ep. 398 - Why I Left OHM Fitness and What This Experience Taught Me About Business, Boundaries, and Trusting Yourself
2026/05/16
In today's episode, I'm sharing something I've been sitting on for a while… Why I made the decision to walk away from OHM Fitness and why our location ultimately closed. This is not about calling people out or placing blame. This is me speaking from my personal experience as a 40 percent profit partner, what I saw behind the scenes, what we built, and what I learned the hard way. When I joined at the end of 2024, I was excited. The concept felt innovative. The opportunity felt aligned. And I chose to invest my time, energy, and expertise through sweat equity instead of capital because I had multiple income streams supporting me outside of the business. Over the next year, we grew the studio from 112 members to 225 members and nearly doubled revenue. I'm incredibly proud of what we built as a team. But behind the growth, there were challenges. Operational friction. Tech issues. Misalignment. And moments that made me pause and start asking deeper questions. In this episode, I open up about: Why I initially said yes to the opportunity What we actually built and why I'm proud of it The challenges that started to surface in 2025 What it felt like operating inside a system that didn't always feel aligned The financial realities and overhead that ultimately made it unsustainable Conversations I had with other owners that shifted my perspective Why I chose to walk away and what I've learned from it This episode is for anyone in business, anyone considering a partnership, and anyone who has ever ignored their gut because they believed in the bigger vision. If something feels off, there is usually a reason. And sometimes the strongest move you can make is choosing yourself. If this episode resonated with you, I would love for you to take a minute to rate and review the podcast.
