A truck driver pulls off a remote highway in the Utah high desert around 3:00 AM, more than 40 miles from the nearest town. While trying to sleep inside his semi, he hears three deliberate knocks against the truck. Then the knocking moves. Over the next hour, it comes from different sides of the cab as he repeatedly turns on his lights and searches the empty desert around him. For 45 minutes, something tapped against a window approximately nine feet above the ground while John Bertoli lay alone inside a remote yurt near Mount Adams. John’s experiences began decades earlier in the forests surrounding Williamstown, Massachusetts. As a child, he repeatedly felt watched along the Taconic Crest Trail and heard what sounded like groups of voices near an abandoned homestead in Hopkins Memorial Forest. Later incidents included an unexplained pressure wave near Cole Avenue, a tree falling moments after he requested a sign, and three concealed presences sensed on Pine Cobble Mountain. His search eventually led him across the country to ECETI Ranch in Washington, where he lived for eight months. During a rainy family drive near Mount Rainier, Donnie and his daughter witnessed an enormous upright figure moving beside a roadside elk. At 11 years old, Antonio and his best friend were walking home through familiar woods along the Southwick–Westfield border in Western Massachusetts when massive bipedal footsteps began closing in through dense brush. A late-night drive into Oregon’s remote Silver Falls Wilderness became a fight to stay on the road. Gloria was traveling with her children when multiple upright shadows began crossing through her headlights. The figures moved closer as she climbed higher into the mountains. After she turned the Jeep around, a massive figure charged down the hillside and struck the vehicle, pushing one tire over the edge of a steep drop. When Gloria reached home, she discovered a huge hand-shaped dent in the side of the Jeep. Years later, Gloria’s family began experiencing repeated activity at secluded campsites in Oregon’s Klamath area. Seven family members have reportedly witnessed figures near the trees and creek. They have also documented enormous tracks, handprints on their RV, strange vocalizations, camp disturbances, and small objects apparently left in response to gifts. During a solo elk hunt in the mountains of Eastern Oregon, Mark Parker began hearing the same unfamiliar grunting sound at approximately 9:30 every morning. Days later, a brown face appeared from behind a tree and watched him from only 35 to 40 yards away. That encounter led Mark into years of investigation with Darrell Adams near Cottage Grove and the mysterious Owl Moon Lab. Mike thought he was watching a bear outside a remote cabin in the mountains of North Georgia. Then he noticed the hand. About ten years ago, Mike was staying alone near Elijay, Georgia, where his stepfather had been dealing with an animal getting into a deer feeder. One night outside her cabin, something came out of the darkness and headed straight toward her. In this episode of Bigfoot Society, Patti Valvo shares what happened during an investigation that took her deep into some of the most active and mysterious locations in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Oregon. Near Oakridge, Patti heard unexplained knocks along the edge of the Willamette National Forest and experienced small objects landing near her as she walked back toward the cabin. Then came the encounter that sent her running—a brilliant ball of light descending near the forest and rapidly closing the distance behind her. Patti also takes us to Sparks Lake, where she documented enormous barefoot impressions near the water, and Waldo Lake, where strange tree formations added another layer to an area already connected to disturbing eyewitness reports. Her journey also includes Area X in Southeast Oklahoma, Board Camp Crystal Mine in Arkansas, a remote property near Lake Thunderbird experiencing unexplained vocalizations and animal activity, and an unsettling discovery beside a creek in an undisclosed location. Mike Wanders has spent years traveling alone into some of North America’s most remote wilderness, searching the places where Sasquatch reports refuse to disappear.
