Based on 2 Samuel 9, ‘A Place at the Table of the King’ invites listeners to consider the kindness of King David, even though it was the practice in his days to eliminate Saul’s remaining family as rivals, instead asks whom he can bless “for Jonathan’s sake.” He summons Mephibosheth, Saul’s lame grandson, from the barren place of Lo-debar and seats him permanently at the royal table. This is the gospel in miniature. We did not find God; we were found. Like Mephibosheth, we come with nothing to offer, yet we are told, “Do not fear.” Grace is favour freely given to the undeserving, at great cost to the giver, and we are accepted for Christ’s sake (Ephesians 2:8-9). David teaches us to break cycles of vengeance, show mercy to those who cannot repay us, and keep our promises even when inconvenient. Based on Luke 18:9-14 ‘The Danger of Performance Christianity' invites belivers rethink Performance Christianity which is faith built on outward display rather than a transformed heart. Scripture shows it in every age: Cain brought the right offering with the wrong heart; Saul wanted to look obedient more than be obedient; Gehazi hid his greed behind ministry; the Pharisee turned prayer into a performance; Ananias and Sapphira pretended to be generous; Simon wanted power without surrender. The danger is false assurance, exhaustion, judgmentalism, pride or despair, and a buried gospel. Cosmetic integrity only survives observation, but God looks at the heart. So, we invite God to search us, practise faith in secret, pray the tax collector's prayer, confess to trusted believers, and rest in grace. Remember, what is inside always shows outside. Based on 1 Samuel 17:52–58 the ‘Trophies of the Battle that Shapes the Future’ demonstrates the character of a man of God who knows how to give honour to whom it is due. After defeating Goliath, David did two quiet but telling things: he carried the giant's head to Jerusalem and kept the armour in his own tent (1 Samuel 17:54). The head, taken to a city not yet his, was an act of faith, a declaration that the God who won this battle would win greater ones ahead. The armour, kept privately, was a personal reminder never to forget whose victory it truly was. When Saul asked who he was, David simply replied, "the son of your servant Jesse", success hadn't changed his humility. The lesson for us: how we handle our victories matters as much as winning them. Celebrate God's faithfulness publicly but also keeps private reminders that guard your heart from pride. Give God the glory, stay humble, and let every triumph build faith for the next battle ahead. Based on 1 Samuel 17:38-51, ‘Weaponizing Your Weakness to Overcome’ teaches belivers in Jesus Christ a transformative truth that our weaknesses are not disqualifications from God's purpose, they are opportunities to witness His power. Rather than denying our limitations, we must face them honestly and strategically redirect them. David refused King Saul's armour and instead used his actual strengths, distance and a simple sling fighting on his own terms, not Goliath's. This mirrors God's principle in 1 Corinthians 1:27: He deliberately chooses what the world considers foolish to shame the wise. Your vulnerability, your past struggles, your overlooked gifts, God sees these as tools for His kingdom work.
