Brazilian-born cinematographer Adolpho Veloso, ABC, AIP, lensed the widely acclaimed and beloved film "Train Dreams" (2025), directed and written by Clint Bentley and released by Netflix. Following "Train Dreams," Veloso served as cinematographer on M. Night Shyamalan’s "Remain" (scheduled for release in 2026) and on Lance Hammer’s "Queen at Sea" (2026), which premiered in competition at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival and helped earn the film the Silver Bear Jury Prize and acting honors for Tom Courtenay and Anna Calder-Marshall. Veloso previously earned widespread recognition for his cinematography on "Jockey" (2021), also directed by Clint Bentley and starring Clifton Collins Jr., which received a Spotlight Award nomination from the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). He is a member of the Brazilian Cinematography Association (ABC) and the Portuguese Society of Cinematography (AIP). He is represented by CAA in the United States, Lux in Europe, and Aura in Latin America. Barry also talks about his recent project, "Highest to Lowest," and the editing process behind it. Spike Lee and Barry Alexander Brown have had friendship and working relationship that goes back to the early eighties. Barry worked on Spike’s first feature, "She’s Gotta Have It," as the editor of a single scene as well as sound editing the movie. He was the editor of Spike’s next film, "School Daze" and then the following, "Do The Right Thing." He was the editor and the 2nd Unit Director on "Malcom X." Over the last thirty years, Barry has been Spike’s editor on "Crooklyn," "He Got Game," "Summer of Sam," ""25th Hour," "Inside Man," "Bad 25," "Miracle at St. Anna," "Blackkklansman" and now, "Highest 2 Lowest." Barry has also worked with renowned Indian director, Mira Nair. For Mira, he edited "Salaam Bombay," "The Laughing Club of India" and "Queen of Katwe. Barry" is also a writer and director. As a director, he was nominated for his first feature length documentary, "The War At Home." In 2020, he wrote and directed the feature length movie, "Son of the South." As a writer, his first novel, "Wind," has just been reeased in France to critical acclaim. It will be published this summer in America.
