Ted Kroeten, the author of 'The Talent Thief' explained the role of the oldest kid in the playground. They lead, they ensure everyone continues to play, and they teach. You are the oldest kid at practice. How do you lead? @LeeDunneSoccer

When I was a lifeguard, scanning wasn't optional — it was the job. Head counts, hazards, the kid who went under a second too long. You didn't stare at one spot and hope for the best. You watched everything, all the time, on a loop. Coaching is exactly the same. We teach players to scan the field before the ball arrives. Then we step back, fold our arms, and stare at the ball. In this episode I break down the four things your eyes should be moving across every single session: player engagement, activity on plan, coaching moments, and individual and collective analysis. Simple habit. Massive difference. @LeeDunneSoccer

Game Like isn't just about creating a replica of the game in training. It's relating the game to the training in as many ways as possible.

Not just moving the ball, or moving players. Soft skills are about people, and relationships. They are about building community, and developing an environment that support your players goals, and your team goals. Here are there tools, connected to the 6 tasks of a coach. @leedunnesoccer

Einsteins knowledge and wisdom quote is referenced a lot, and I am doing the same here. But how does it apply to coaching? Here is the environment I am working to create. @Leedunnesoccer

Organization is EVERYTHING. From level 1 of players in pinnies and balls set out. To level 2 - players playing in their positions and not just running around. To level 3 - style of play, game plan and execution! @leedunnesoccer

"How do I improve the intensity of the players?" Answer? There are thousands of things you can do. This one thing, for me, is the magic ticket in the right environment... @Leedunnesoccer

Observation is an essential tool in coaching, but when do I observe? How do I observe? @leedunnesoccer

QUICKER! BREAK! We all hear this during games. There is a better way for players to learn how to play QUICK, without RUSHING. @leedunnesoccer

Here are my 5 steps to creating a training session that will work for your players.
