There are Christians who are claiming that Canada has passed legislation that will outlaw the Bible. Is this correct. The concern is about Bill C-9 concerning hate crimes. Some Christians are upset about William Lane Craig's belief that Adam belonged to Heidelberg Man, a humanoid species that lived 750,000 years ago. Recently, on the  @SeanMcDowell  channel, there was a debate between John West and Michael Licona on inerrancy of the Bible. Does the Bible describe events exactly like they took place? These two apologists have a lively discussion. In my video, I share my thoughts on their discussion. Please consider supporting me at http://www.patreon.com/hopesreasonVisit me at https://www.stephenjbedard.comFollow me on http://www.x.com/SJBedard and http://www.instagram.com/SJBedard and http://www.facebook.com/hopesreason

In a video, David Falk (@ancientegyptandthebible) responded to Frank Turek and made certain comments about the Doctor of Ministry degree. A number of years ago, I co-wrote Unmasking the Pagan Christ with Dr. Stanley Porter. This was a response to a book written by Tom Harpur. There are times that I am excited about Christian apologetics and times that I am discouraged. I share my thoughts in this video about what kind of Christian apologetics that I am interested in.Visit me at https://www.stephenjbedard.com/apologetics and support me at http://www.patreon.com/hopesreason.

G3 founder Josh Buice has been found to have slandered other reformed leaders, as well as leaders within his own church, by means of some anonymous social media accounts. This will have long lasting effects in reformed circles. But will have the effects that are most needed? Many Christian apologists will talk about "proving" that Christianity is true. But is that really a realistic goal? I reflect on this question in this video. Please visit me at https://www.stephenjbedard.com/apologetics and consider supporting me at http://www.patreon.com/hopesreasonFollow me at http://www.x.com/sjbedard and http://www.facebook.com/hopesreason and http://www.instagram.com/sjbedard Visit my online store at https://www.stephenjbedard.com/store/

Many Christians identify as pro-life. We therefore assume that God is pro-life. But what about those really difficult passages where God seems to command Israel to kill people or for men to take women against their will? On Twitter/X, I found myself sharing examples of good that Islam has done and examples of bad that Christianity has done. But I am a Christian! One of the key pieces of historical evidence for the existence of Jesus is the work of the great first century Jewish historian Josephus. He mentions Jesus twice, once in speaking of his life and the other about the death of James. But did he really? Skeptics such as Richard Carrier would suggest that the evidence has disproven this. Many people just assume that all Baptists are cessationists and deny that the gifts of the Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12 are no longer available. Is this true? I hear from many Christians who are struggling in their faith because of the writings of Richard Carrier. Carrier is a prominent Jesus Mythicist who comes across as extremely confident that Jesus never existed. This video is not a response to Carrier's arguments but a reflection on why people are so troubled by Richard Carrier. You can get a copy of Unmasking the Pagan Christ at https://amzn.to/42CmRJ6 (Amazon affiliate link)Please visit me at http://www.jesusmyththeory.com and https://www.stephenjbedard.com/apologetics and consider supporting me at http://www.patreon.com/hopesreasonFollow me at http://www.x.com/sjbedard and http://www.facebook.com/hopesreason and http://www.instagram.com/sjbedard Visit my online store at https://www.stephenjbedard.com/store/
